I spent a wonderful weekend at De Eekhorst. The bedrooms were comfortable, and several bathrooms were a lifesaver. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for relaxing after our outdoor adventures.

The aftertaste is very annoying. We received the bill that we have consumed 101 cubic meters of gas. He casually mentioned that he would get a new boiler the following week. So we are paying for his poor maintenance. It is a nice house, but for 800 euros and 150 euros cleaning costs, it really isn't pleasant.

The house was OK. Nice bathrooms but older furniture. The promised lbs / swimming / boating did not work out. Boat was drowned and hard to get here to the water Because Of overgrown yard. The ponies did not want the kids to ride on them but were OK to be brushed.The kitchen cupboards were full on with dishes and glasses. There was no room to get some groceries in the cupboards. Must be enough dishes and cutlery there for 100 people. Washer and dryer very small and could not be used at the sametime.

Owners John and Esther very welcoming and always available for a question. Dogs allowed only if kept on the premises due to stray chickens but that is as safe as garden is fully fenced. The men have made frequent use of the professional game of billiards. Recommended for short stay with family or group. Location is ok not directly to a forest or to a not very busy road.
