The house is in a great location, ideal for peace and quiet. Johan is a great host and is to hand if you need anything. The open plan living room and kitchen is spacious and everything you need is to hand for cooking and enjoying a meal. We were 4 adults and we enjoyed staying in the Haaksbergen Villa. The value for money ratio was very good and we can recommend the villa.

Mooi gelegen en smaakvol huisje met goede wifi, maar géén aanrader in de huidige staat. De redenen - twee flinke lekkages in de badkamer waardoor constant water op de vloer (zie ook reviews teruggaand tot november 2015) - huisje is onvoldoende schoon (vriendelijke schoonmaakster had eigenaar nooit ontmoet en was niet gebrieft) - veel rommel in de legkasten (lege verpakkingen, spullen achtergelaten door eerdere bewoners) - onvoldoende schoonmaakmateriaal, soms ook oud/versleten - wasdroger werkt niet (zie ook review november 2015) - deurtje vriesvak kapot, kan niet gebruikt worden - diverse lampen werken niet - sowieso verlichting te spaarzaam (zie ook eerdere reviews) - BBQ en tuinparasol staan tussen grote hoeveelheid afval in houten schuur met grijze deuren, waar je niet doorheen wil waden - te smal dekbed voor bed benedenslaapkamer (zie ook vele eerdere reviews) deel muren slaapkamer beneden, badkamer en plafond hal moeten geverfd (beschadigingen, vochtplekken) - geen gebruiksaanwijzingen voor apparatuur - geen mogelijkheid tot afvalscheiding - eigenaar afwezig bij inchecken maar evenmin berichtje achtergelaten met welkom en essentiële informatie zoals wifi code en dan hebben we nog niet eens alles genoemd… Wij hadden zelf geen hinder van de gordijnloze ramen in de slaapkamer, maar hebben evenmin de luikjes aangetroffen waarover de eigenaar spreekt in reactie op eerdere klachten in reviews. Wij hebben de slaapkamer boven, houtkachel (niet schoongemaakt) en TV/satelliet niet gebruikt, dus daarover geen mening. Wij hebben het bovenstaande met de eigenaar besproken om hem de kans te bieden de meer eenvoudige zaken direct aan pakken. Dat is niet gebeurd in de week dat wij er verbleven. De eigenaar zegt een renovatie te plannen na het seizoen de laatste dateert van 5 jaar geleden. Wij adviseren het beheer en onderhoud meer permanent ter hand te nemen, zodat gasten ook in de tussenliggende jaren van dit mooie huisje kunnen genieten.

We had a relaxing holiday with our dog in this beautiful holiday home. If you like peace and nature, this is the place for you. Right from the house there are many opportunities to walk with the dog (of course also without a dog). From time to time a few deer drop by in the morning. The landlord is very friendly. When we wanted to watch a DVD and the DVD player did not work, the owner specially drove to the village to pick up a new cable. I think that's a good service! The beds look nice, but the bed on the top floor as our daughter slept rotten, because there is a huge hole in the middle zat.Verder had nothing to complain about in the mattress. What I do find it strange that your heating costs for a whole week to pay, while we have fired only one night. After a warm welcome by John and a brief tour of the house, enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the currently snowy woods. Beautiful holiday close to nature. Great beds, nice kitchen and stylish furnishings. No curtains on the windows during our stay in March is not a problem, but is more daylight maybe annoying. We knew the region around Haaksbergen not but we are positively surprised. A wide and very quiet area where there are many hiking and biking opportunities. Especially the veins are worth a visit, the stillness, the quiet, nature, just beautiful. Lovely detached, spacious and clean house in a wooded area. From the cottage is about 10 minutes walk to the start of many hiking trails. It is a beautiful house, in a beautiful setting. However, it does have some points of interest. Such as new pillows, there are no towel hooks in the bathroom, walls can also be serviced there because of the many stains, no place to put your shampoo, etc. in the shower room, nothing hangs in front of the stable windows, people can see you standing like this, skirting boards in the bathroom are dirty and broken. In the downstairs bedroom nothing hangs in front of the windows. It has an ideal location for people with a dog. You can walk right out of the house or a bit by car to a hiking area. I will dot the i a little more myself .... then it is really a super house and it is great that 2 pets are allowed to stay.

We had a relaxing holiday with our dog in this beautiful holiday home. If you like peace and nature, this is the place for you. Right from the house there are many opportunities to walk with the dog (of course also without a dog). From time to time a few deer drop by in the morning. The landlord is very friendly. House improvements: there are no curtains, upstairs bedroom very tight (and little privacy due to glass wall) and screens would be nice (lots of flies / mosquitoes).

The house is tastefully furnished, any disadvantage is that the bedroom and bathroom have no curtains / blinds. It would be nice if there is a small package with the minimum necessities such as a toilet, and extra garbage tablet detergents which are missing on arrival. The umbrella was at the time we were devastated, which was a shame because it was quite warm for several days. The reviews from others pulled us over to rent this house. A designer lodge still sounds very convincing. It is also a wonderful area to stay. What's right is the delightful bed on the ground floor, but the comforter is far too narrow. The shower is super, only the water ballet (presumably by a construction error) continued to bother us a midweek special by leaks. The house looks nice, but there is hardly any light and there are no curtains. Wherever you are, bathroom or bedroom, living room, everyone can see from outside that we did not like. The wood stove was despite firelighters, do not hold the fire by including too little traction and aankoeksel. The dishwasher did you suspect that the fire brigade or ambulance was constantly around in action (after three minutes you knew that it was still the dishwasher) and tumble dried up was not. The machine works! Not all lights and there are few pans. Nespresso is not there (photo is obsolete now filter), so our cups we have just thrown away.

The environment is beautiful. The house itself is fine. Only it's a dirty house. Lots of cobwebs and dust nests throughout the house. The bedding is really horribly filthy. We went to buy new pillows, and luckily the weather was warm and we didn't have to lie under the duvets.

On our advice to purchase one, the owner responded very positively and immediately purchased one. Great bed. The small windows can be darkened with wooden add-on windows.
