Nice park. But the cottage I received (with a 3 and 5 year old) was completely on a pond. Not so handy. But we got another house. That was top. However, it was not clean. Few times reported but nothing has been done. Parasol has to be rented. Have a nice holiday.

Great size accommodation but found a dead mouse on rug and lots of dog hair. Not great when travelling with a toddler. Great play parks.

The location was serene, and we enjoyed the intimacy of the chalet. It was an excellent base for exploring the Achterhoek. The only downside was the limited Wi-Fi access, but it wasn't a big problem for us.

Ten chalet provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Clean, comfortable, and private! The bedrooms were cozy, and the living room was perfect for our family to relax. We loved spending evenings on the terrace. Just a warning, the internet was a bit unstable, but it didn't bother us for a few days. We will definitely return!

I loved our stay in the Achterhoek chalet! The garden was beautiful and we spent most evenings on the terrace. It was quiet, exactly what we were looking for. I just wish the Wi-Fi had worked better, but honestly, we didn't mind being disconnected for a while.

A great place for families! We had plenty of space with the three bedrooms and loved the backyard. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

On arrival we were here and there begin brushing itself. The patio furniture was hanging under the bird droppings, in badkamerrek were two boards are very dirty, we found there are a smelly old scourer and throughout the stay remained in the bathroom cubicle (more was not) smell of urine. Your reservation is that the photo 's not always correspond to reality. In our case, that was an understatement ... We were not staying in a chalet, apartment or house, but it was well improved stacaravan.Wat were Lots to do, the facilities of the park. could enjoy themselves. kids at that level no problems! The food from the restaurant was surprisingly good. However, we had all three times we ate something or drank heeeeeeel wait long. Not only on the food, but it took forever for example honor someone from the staff just noticed that we were there. And for each slice of bread, eg in soup, you pay for. Very little pity and friendly. Upon a bowl of soup like you expect some bread and no additional 0.5 per slice.

We went with four children a few days in this chalet. That was delicious. The park was still very quiet in t preseason. Must be different in high season. The miniature golf course is in need of renovation and is working hard on the park but that made our stay any less fun. We are thinking about another go.

The park was so pretty - we were shocked...exceeded my expectations bya mile. Think we were lucky though...I booked the picture which looked all open, but when we arrived we had huge full decking all fenced off with lovely outside dinning table and chairs, and sofas for cosy night in the forest. We were completely private and our area was completely private by trees which was a complete bonus. These accommodations are all mainly privately owned so they vary so much - most of the others we saw were not as private (but still gorgeous) so again we were lucky. We hardly spent any time indoors and never ate inside once. The smell of the forest and fresh coffee was brill. Lochem is sweet too with plenty of shops and cafe's - we had cycles and went everywhere - we drove to Munster in Germany which was not far away, and Amsterdam amoungst others. The lake was good fun, the teenagers amused themselves for hours on the zip wire. My tribe are used to golden beaches, crystal clear waters and all inclusive so it was wonderful seeing them just get back to basics and we all just had so much fun being together and embraced the whole lifestyle. Was refreshing and real. Everything is in dutch though - but there is usually someone around who speaks enough english to get by. The only issue really was if we had too many appliances on - the electric would trip out - we would just have to click it back on again. Advise you don't have more than 3 on at a time excluding lights - having 3 teenagers doing their hair with straighteners and hair dryers whilst coking didn't always work! Plenty of storage space which was a bonus as we usually struggle. We also discovered a ps2 which we ironically didn't even use - we just talked and laughed together instead! Try and arrive in daylight though - they don't have someone available 24 hours for those coming in late - we got held up and had to wait outside the gates as it was really late by the time we got there - we had to contact belvilla who was reluctant to call out someone initially - arriving at night is not reccommended as they don't really cater for it. It did get sorted within the hour but we had to be quite persistent at midnight stuck in the car very tired! But to be fair - it wasn't their fault we were late arriving and the whole place made up for it ten times over. Absolutely 10 out of 10 for the setting - really pretty and well thought through - loved it and would hghly reccommend it - even with the extra charges you have to pay once there - still worth it considering the original price isn't very expensive at all for what you get - just make sure you check the additional prices for bedding etc etc and know how much you will be paying extra. Can amount to alot if a few of you - just best to price it in so you have plenty to spend in all the gorgeous boutiques!

A beautiful and spacious chalet in a well maintained park. All amenities were present, even a washing machine! The park is spacious and offers lots of privacy. The playing and swimming opportunities are plentiful and are very well maintained. What we really like a big plus experienced was the fact that everything was very clean and cleaned regularly held.

The Ruighenrode park is fine and the surroundings are beautiful. However, the cottage as proposed on the site at books did not meet the reality and the comfort level was definitely not the same, so this is really a concern when booking.

Was not cleaned Toilet / toilet bowl not cleaned, urine still just on the edge of the bowl, glasses not clean, actually whole toilet, windows dirty, blue mstrashoes not clean either. Furniture not cleaned with a cloth, was still dirty. moment was positive but when i entered my stay i regretted my booking

The cottage is quite Spartan. Sofa is low and not really comfortable. There are no cushions for the chairs outside. The walls have dirty spots and the ceiling is also full of stains. Kitchen furnishings could also use an update. The cottage could use a facelift.

Upon arrival we were shocked. It was very dirty. The doormat was full of dog hair, the beds were full of dog hair, and there was a lot of dust under the beds with her. Kitchen cabinets were dirty and the toilet too. Verders throughout the house was all spider web. I cleaned the first 2 hours. Therefore find that the final cleaning of 51euro is not worth it. The park itself was very nice the kids enjoyed. Verders the communication is not very good because there are many poles at work and they do not understand if you ask them something. There is plenty to do for the children. So that was fortunately a plus.
