This 1-bedroom holiday home in Bergen has central heating and terrace and offers a countryside vacation amidst meadows and forests. It is ideal for a small family of 2 or a couple to stay. It is close to Bergen aan Zee.
You can go for a hike in the forest at 500 m. Head to Bergen aan Zee and have fun on the beach. The center of Bergen is at 3km and Alkmaar with its historical center is at 10 km. Groceries are available from the supermarket at 2 km. Visit the nearby Duinen at 2km.
The home has central heating and the living room comes with a 4 seater dining table and fireplace. The welcome was very friendly, the landlord also speaks very good German. The house has charm and is cozy. The only drawback was that a few lamps did not work. Unfortunately we could not use the fireplace, because it was just too stormy outside. The location is very rural, but still has good connections. It is a few minutes by car to the sea, in a place (Bergen, Egmond, Alkmaar) or in the swimming pool.

Great house, super easy and uncomplicated landlord, beautiful surroundings! The bathroom is small and the kitchen equipment basic, but you really have everything, what you need for two for a really nice and relaxing holiday. We will definitely be back!

Very good location, privacy despite neighborhood to the owner, wonderful for a holiday with dog geeignet.Leider the bedroom is not darkened and the floor upstairs has left and right columns. For smaller children therefore unsuitable. In the baby age okay. The bathroom is very small and there are hardly any storage space.

Right spot was searching. Turns out to be an entry that can not be seen from the road. Were kindly helped by the owner. Environment is beautiful between the nice town of Bergen and the dunes / sea. House is located between the meadows in a very quiet place, only the adjacent backyard of the owners reminds you of inhabited world. Owner has decorated the house attractively in a kind of retro style. Cottage is not really equipped for longer stay (we stayed 2 weeks) or for small children. Bathroom is on the small side, no blackout curtains above and no mosquito net. Floorboards around the house are coming loose.

Hard looking for weaknesses. Not found. The lack of curtains the next. Those who like to sleep in a long time and suffer from early morning light, can take a sleep mask. Extremely effective, and the beautiful effect of the rising sun will remain on the sheets, if you just drop your mask. Best of both worlds.

Fantastic rustic cabin located with both the forest and the sea around the corner. Open haardje and lovely waking up to the trees and views. Just remember to bring your own linens and blankets! Furthermore, relax and unwind.

I had wonderful days in the gorgeous house "De Schone Leij". The pictures do not promise too much. Very stylish and comfortable and with super nice and friendly owners ..... I would have liked my vacation for everyday. The House deserves an absolute top rating!

Home birth is fine, attractive and lovely views, nice location, nice interior with special stuff, look. The only fault we can see is the limited privacy because the curtains at night lighting within the home, are transparent, giving you a feeling unfree. Quality and price are in proportion to each other. Quality of "canopy" was bad. Not suitable to sleep two people. One could. Bedroom windows could not be darkened. For this price you can (much) expect more. Cottage in atmosphere and unique location. But a week long sleep badly undermines the whole.

We had a very pleasant, relaxing holiday in this magical house. Who does not feel comfortable there, which is beyond help! Dear host the for are there absolutely unobtrusive. A wonderful location for walking, discover places or just refuel. Evening in front of the flickering fire to end the day and enjoy the view from the bedroom when you wake up! Alone maintenance \/ cleanliness of the cottage and the outdoor facilities still could be a little better

It was an unforgettable week! The cottage has enchanted us: Very lovingly and individually decorated, located wonderfully quiet and our landlords were very nice. Mountains offers many beautiful hiking trails, the center has some interesting shops and the hiking trails in the dunes are a must for nature lovers. We will come back, the week was to much too fast. We spent a lovely week at Schone Leij. The owners are very warm people. The area is ideal for hiking and exploring. Nearby there is a direct access to the dunes nature reserve. But Attention all dog owners living within the territory of Highland cattle and wild horses who like to surprise a on the trails. Otherwise, it is geographically ideal as you quickly Alkmaar, Haarlem or Amsterdamm. Highly recommended is Alkmaar.

No sun in the garden. It is there a Braided sun, which is but quite rotten. Window behind the house many cobwebs. The terrace needs some radiated. Is behind the house unkempt (daytime there is shadow). Inside but everything was clean. The house is wonderful.

It's a beautiful house. By windows falls into a lot of light. The sunrise and sunset takes one was active. The beautiful photos on the website reflect reality. For people who are looking for serenity, this is the perfect place. We were in 5 minutes in the dunes for hiking. Very nice landlord.

Just back from 1 week in House "De beautiful Leij" we feel very relaxing, the cottage was enchanting, very individually / rustic furnishings, all equipment such as dishwasher, refrigerator, television well maintained and very clean. Once you do not want to do in a standard house Vacation: Here is the alternative. Also the way to the beach in Egmond or Bergen aan Zee can be reached by car in a few minutes.

The concept behind this house is totally our style. The design is top notch, the amenities good. We had counted on bad weather, but got a brilliant november week, so we could not test how it is to sit in every day to read by the fire and a booklet. We have in the house and close to the sea very well gefühlt.Die quiet location was very relaxing. Fascinatingly we found the located nearby dunes of a nature reserve. Well-marked trails led us past grazing wild horses. Shops very close also not missing.

Constructive criticism: the quality of the bed and shower - for this price you expect a superbed (it was too soft, and we have achieved top), and a power shower. House dirty and warm inside. Shower and toilet old and dirty. Kitchen is a jumbled mess. You can only watch TV if you have an Apple phone. The area around the house is very messy and unpleasant. Paid a lot of money and got little in return. We have already rented many houses, but this was the most expensive and the least. Very unfortunate because the first sight of the photos is very promising. We enjoyed Bergen and Bergen aan Zee, but we don't want to spend a holiday at this location for nothing.

Would have expected a little more luxury for this price (€950 per week), especially because bed linen, towels and firewood are not included. Plumbing and kitchen are rather tatty. Chimney doesn't really pull well. In short: had a good holiday, but look for more value for money next time.

Wonderful stay and that was not only due to the beautiful weather 😉. The cottage is free, there is a very spacious terrace and adjacent garden or forests. The sea at 10 minutes, beautiful walks and the dog, who was very welcome, felt completely at ease. If I have to mention 1 minus....... ..... then I thought the sink in the bathroom was a bit small .

It is a real dream house. Very cozy and fully equipped. Waking up with this beautiful view is wonderful. House is well heated so also very suitable for cold days. You can walk straight into the dunes from the cottage. We have made walks every day. The owners are very cordial and live close to the cottage. If there are any questions you can always contact them. We will definitely go back again. Maybe next time in the summer.
