Spacious and well-equipped house with a lovely sauna, Perfect for a relaxing getaway by the water

We had a great time at The Resort IJsselmeer! The house was super comfortable and clean, and being so close to the water was a huge plus. We spent hours just chilling on the dock. The only thing I would have wanted was a few more kitchen utensils, but honestly, that wasn't a big problem. I would definitely come back!

Unfortunately, our stay in the holiday home was a big disappointment. It was clear from the moment we arrived that the accommodation did not meet the expected standards. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired:

- Dishwasher not emptied: Immediately after our arrival, we noticed that the dishwasher was still full of dishes from the previous tenant. This is not only a sign of a lack of care in preparing the house, but also extremely unpleasant for the new guests. Instead of being able to enjoy the accommodation straight away, we first had to take care of emptying the dishwasher. Such a detail should be a matter of course in a well-maintained holiday home.

- Sagging beds: The beds are probably as old as the house itself (around 12 years) and accordingly saggy. The sleeping comfort was catastrophic. We woke up several times every night because the mattresses had completely lost their support. Restful sleep was out of the question here. This is particularly annoying when you consider that a good night's sleep is one of the most important components for a relaxing holiday. For the price we paid for the accommodation, it is simply unacceptable that the beds are in such a bad condition.

- Numerous dead insects in the interior: In addition to the defects in the furnishings, the cleanliness of the interior was also a big disappointment. Numerous dead insects stuck to the walls and ceilings of the house. This is not only unsightly, but also shows inadequate cleaning. This is an absolute no-go, especially in a holiday home where guests expect clean and hygienic conditions. Although we raised this point several times, the problem was only addressed superficially - many places remained untouched and the general cleanliness still left a lot to be desired.

- The trash can in the bathroom was still full of waste from the previous tenants.

What a beautiful short vacation! The area is quiet, and the house was exceptionally clean. We enjoyed the amenities, especially the dishwasher – it made our stay much easier. Would recommend it to anyone looking to relax by the water.

However, there was a big minus point, the cleanliness of the house. The floors weren't vacuumed well and if you pulled the beds apart you still found a lot of dust and dirt from the previous guests. In addition, the window sills were full of flies and other animals, as well as cobwebs and dust in many corners of the apartment.

Don't look too closely at the beds either.

In addition, they mowed the lawn the day before, but left the grass lying around, which unfortunately we also carried into the apartment everywhere.

All in all a nice house, but it could use a little better maintenance and cleaning.

The accommodation disappointed us because it was not clean and the beds creaked and sagged. The duvets had brown and white spots. In De kiep / tilt windows there was a lot of dirt + insects. Had expected because it went through Belvilla, it would be cleaner. We paid 40 euros extra, because we also booked last year through the park and also complained about the final cleaning and maintenance of household appliances, and it said in the description that there were luxury garden furniture.
