This detached chalet is located in the tastefully designed holiday resort, Park Westerkogge. Surrounded by greenery, yet only 8 from the pleasant, historic port town of Hoorn.
The comfortable and fully furnished chalet, comprising two floors, features a light-filled living room thanks to the large expanse of window area. The open kitchen is fully equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher and a microwave oven. On the ground floor you'll also find a double bedroom. The first floor (with a sloping roof) has two more double bedrooms. All bedrooms have two single box-spring beds that can be arranged as double beds. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
The chalet is surrounded by a lovely garden with a terrace and garden furniture. There's parking for one car at the chalet.
At Park Westerkogge holiday park, various chalets can be booked for four to six people.

Location and surroundings of object
Park Westerkogge is located in the community of Koggenland in the village of Berkhout. Old trees and wide hedges influence the ambience on this holiday park. In addition to the section where the chalets are located, there is a part reserved for campers. The park has many facilities including an open air swimming pool with a kids' pool. You can hire motor boats and electric scooters. The environment is varied: mills, bulb fields, dykes and wide canals surround the area. Do you want to enjoy the relaxation of the water on the park? Hire a canoe, or cast a line. Would you rather get out and about? Only 7 km from the park you will find the Ijsselmeer with a surfing/sailing beach. The charming city of Hoorn, with its lovely marinas, shopping streets and restaurants is easy to reach from Berkhout. Larger cities, such as Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar are within a 30 minute drive. Also recommended in the area are the covered swimming paradise in Hoorn, Fairy Tale Wonderland in Enkhuizen, the steam train to Medemblik, the Zuiderzee museum, the Zaanse Schans in Zaandam and the charming coastal towns of Bergen, Egmond and Schoorl.
Park Westerkogge is a watery park located some distance from the charming city of Hoorn. It has various facilities and the IJsselmeer beach is only 7 km away. An ideal destination for a successful holiday!

The accommodation at this holiday park is intended for recreational use. Therefore, it is prohibited to stay at the holiday park for any purpose other than recreation. If it transpires that the purpose of your stay is any other than recreational, you'll be denied access to the park.
If the holiday home has air conditioning, you can use it for € 10.00 per day.
The swimming pool is open from the 1st of May.

Was very spacious, but clean is different. In the kitchen everything was there. The environment is remote, but for us very well. You must have bicycles.

You have to be lucky, unfortunately we didn't have that! You have no control over which house you are assigned. For the first week we were happy with ours because it seemed fairly new and everything was there as advertised. Only the light in the "children's room" didn't work, but when we sent someone an email to fix it. We didn't find the box spring beds comfortable, but the furnishings in the house are appealing. We could have enjoyed our holiday if construction work on two other houses in front of our house had not started in the second week. The builders were there before 8am and worked until 4pm and that's how long the noise lasted. That should have been handled differently in the park. Our guaranteed parking space had to be cleared in one day because a crane was supposed to bring a new house that day. The circumstances would have been bad at home, but felt even more so on vacation.

We had nice days. The weather was beautiful, the view from our house was beautiful. The service fantastic. The house was also good. However, there is one thing we missed: a rack where you can hang some small laundry to dry and a bath mat in the bathroom. The floor of the shower is a bit slippery for the elderly. The ladies at the reception were very helpful and friendly.

The house was very nice and relatively comfortably furnished. However, more than four adults should not rent such a deluxe 6 house. The house with the bunk bed is barely bigger than a closet. However, many simple things were missing (not enough cutlery and crockery, no wall hooks, no toilet brush and and and). An absolute no-go, however, was the cleanliness. That was a disaster. When we arrived we had to clean it ourselves as it wasn't possible to use it. There was animal hair on every chair, the mirrors were totally smudged, the entire kitchen front was sticky and the documents from the previous tenant were still in the closets. The previous tenant was also registered with Netflix on the TV. Since the reception was closed when we arrived, we complained about this the next day and asked for a solution. Bad luck! Since we had already cleaned ourselves, nothing could be done. So I cannot recommend this park. The restaurant never felt open. It is a pity that the issue of cleanliness was not taken seriously due to the many criticisms in previous reviews.
