Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay in this modern, tastefully remodeled apartment. The apartment had everything we needed and then some, and was an excellent base to visit nearby cities from All which, from Amsterdam to Enkhuizen. Located close to the train station and in the center Horn made getting around on foot easy, but there was always a parking spot open in front of the flat and inexpensive all-day parking at the ride a block or so away. The owner was very friendly & helpful, everything was super clean, and there was even a bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival. Lovely place to stay with everything you need right there!

We are a family with 2 girls aged 10 and 6 and we spent a week here in May 2014. The apartment was lovely and clean, with a handy dishwasher and free WiFi. We loved people watching from the double aspect windows. It was brilliantly located for exploring Hoorn town centre and harbour, and for catching the train to Amsterdam and Enkhuizen. Hoorn is a lovely town with some great museums - we especially liked the museum of the 20th Century (amazing Barbie collection) and the little toy museum, whose friendly owner gave us all lemonade and marshmallows after we'd finished exploring. There is a Turkish supermarket about 30 metres up the road, and a huge Albert Hein (similar to Sainsburys in the UK) about 5 minutes walk away over the train station bridge. The stairs up to the apartment were quite steep, as were those up to the sleeping area so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We would definitely recommend this apartment as a great base for exploring.

Very nice mail from the landlord with detailed instructions. Nice apartment near the train station and close to the Hoorner old town with good shopping possibilities. 10 minutes to the great harbor. Landlord lives next door, very friendly and courteous, takes care of immediately, if something is to complain about. We felt very well and would like to come back. The apartment is well suited for two couples, friends or a family with older children. Very steep stairs, not handicapped accessible! With this restriction, a highly recommended district.
