This nice, detached tiny house is located in the small-scale holiday park Resort Markermeer, located on the lake of the same name. It is located at 3 km from the town of Bovenkarspel and 4 km from the nice centre of the historic town of Enkhuizen.
The tiny house is furnished in a complete and nice way; small is beautiful! There is a living/bedroom with TV and a decorative fireplace/gas heater, a kitchenette with kettle and coffee maker. There are two single beds in a space that is separated from the living room by a curtain. The other two single beds can be found in the sleeping attic (no headroom). This mezzanine can be reached by means of the steep staircase in the living room.
Enjoy time outdoors in the garden with (covered) terrace and garden furniture. There is parking for one car at the tiny house.
At holiday park Resort Markermeer, various chalets and tiny houses can be booked for four to six people.

Location and surroundings of object
Resort Markermeer first opened its doors in 2018. It's a modern resort, on the banks of the Markermeer, not far from West Frisian town of Enkhuizen.
The resort is a great place to be. Besides the brasserie with pleasant terrace, you'll find playground equipment/playgrounds for the children, a small marina and an area for sunbathing. Here you can enjoy the sun after taking a dip in the Markermeer.
There are several cycling and hikng routes to explore the diverse surroundings. There also are possibilities for different day trips. Towns like Enkhuizen (5 km), Hoorn (16 km) and Alkmaar (43) can easily be reached. Here you can go shopping, have a great meal in one of the many restaurants or enjoy the afternoon sun in one of the outdoor cafes. In Enkhuizen you'll find the "Zuiderzee" museum. Here you can get acquainted with the cultural heritage from the time when Holland's largest lake was still a sea. The Zaanse Schans can be reached easily from Bovenkarspel (46 km). Here you can find buildings and occupations from the 18th and 19th century. Nice and interesting. Volendam (39 km), also a tourist attraction, can also be reached easily.

The correct address is Zuiderdijk 1B (instead of Zuiderdijk 1) so we have already driven wrong. House no. 72 is a 4 person house according to the description. Enough space for 2 people but not suitable for 4 people. Sleeping area in the attic accessible by a dangerous steep ladder. There are 2 mattresses in the attic, but you are tight and clamped against the sloping roof. Little atmosphere in the park, once used the "brasserie" (read refined cafeteria) where we had to wait 1½ hours for the food. the house is near the kitchen, we were regularly in the extraction of the frying air. On the other side of the house is a vacant lot with a lush growth of weeds. The house was missing a parasol and the air conditioning did not work on arrival. An umbrella was quickly arranged by the park and the air-con was fixed by an employee the next day. from the park.

The accommodation is small and compact. Great for a family of three people. The two beds on the loft are somewhat hard and the ceiling is low. The layout of the lodge is good and everything is available. The gas heater was very pleasant. Improvement is the shower. Due to the lack of a curtain or shower cabin door, you have a lot of water on the floor after you shower and there is no well to drain the water outside the shower.

Booked beautiful holiday homes via Belvilla for several years, again this year, when we had to cancel our previously booked holiday due to Corona and were still able to rent a house in NL at short notice via Belvilla. Was neat and clean again and satisfactorily!

It took some time to find the park, but once there everything was clearly indicated. Small-scale holiday park, right on the Markermeer. From our tiny house we had a view over the water between two houses. Arrival at reception, neatly spoken, keeping distance was possible, smooth handling. The park consists of a total of around 80 houses, partly private property, partly for rental. And several tiny houses, just big enough for 4 people, and suitable for a weekend, midweek or week. If you want to stay longer, the house is very small. But neatly cared for, well insulated, gas stove available, everything in the kitchen, small but nice. We had a nice week. Enkhuizen is a few km away, and the entire head of NH is easily accessible.

The arrival was disappointing. The cottage was smaller than expected and unfortunately not clean at this time. The cottage is rented for 4 people but is only suitable for 2 adults and 2 children, but not too young, as they have to sleep upstairs and use a tricky steep staircase.

Part of the park can be reached via a public (bicycle) road, without supervision. Unfortunately our ebikes were stolen at the park overnight. The park would be wise to take measures here. Unfortunately we had no possibility, for example a closed space, to store the ebikes. The park is also beautifully situated on the lake and well maintained.
