We had booked a comfort house for 7 people. The location is great and the house is very nice. The cleaning of the house needed improvement. We had to point out some issues and request a re-cleaning. However, that was also suboptimal (I'll spare the details here). The house is functionally furnished, which means that no feeling of comfort arose. Small decorative items were missing, pictures on the walls. Everything felt a bit loveless. Probably, this is a consequence of some guests thinking that they are also buying the decor when they book. Seating for 7 people was available for dining. Cozy seating was out of the question. The sofa was completely worn out. Sagging, stained, and uncomfortable. A new sofa is urgently needed here, and that should be possible. The house is well-designed and spacious. The bathrooms (2 pcs.) are large. However, the largest of them had the atmosphere of a train station hall. Very loud and with echo. We had a nice large bathtub. But be careful, only suitable for showering if you are stable on your feet. It was very slippery and the risk of slipping while showering was quite high. The houses are also very, very noisy. So we heard the neighbors running down the stairs and thought they were using ours. Also, the bathrooms (stacked on top of each other) gladly pass on "all" noises! We missed having a stove. The microwave is useful, but when you want to crisp up rolls, an oven is nicer. Otherwise, the location is great and the facility is also wonderful. Plenty of parking within the facility and everything is within walking distance.

There is a "normal" shower on the 2nd floor. The socket behind the bed of the 3-person room was broken. I read that in a review somewhere before. So this is still not done. The area is beautiful and it is close to the center of Volendam.
