A beautiful place in Holten in a kind of holiday park where several houses are located. All owned by different owners, so no 'center par s' feeling. Beautiful cottage with a lovely garden and plenty of space. Wonderful cycling routes and the village within cycling distance. Nice small center with some cozy spots to eat. Period May 9 to 16, 2025, was a fantastic period because we made use of the holiday home "Woodhuis" in Houten Overijssel. Upon entering, we were amazed at how beautiful the house was. It has a regal appearance, and even the cutlery had a golden edge. Everything was more than sufficient, and upon arrival, the lovely beds were already made by the owner. Plenty of space in the bedrooms, the living room, and the kitchen. In the lower-lying basement area, there were 2 lovely cool bedrooms and a bathroom, which was very pleasant with the warm weather. Around the house was an oasis of trees, birds, and squirrels. For many families, it is highly recommended to also enjoy this property.

We enjoyed the holiday home "THE WOUDHUIS" in Holten. We were received very hospitably there for a week, the house so beautiful in a green environment and detached. What is our surprise by email, and that was at least 7 to 8 weeks before depositing the remaining amount, a reminder to pay immediately, otherwise the agreement will be cancelled, well you can't make me angrier, also on the response that I immediately sent back have no response, so it's a shame that they treat customers like that.

We stayed in the holiday home from 19 to 26 May 2023. There was a cold draughty wind during this period. But we had a great time. The Woudhuis met the expectations as described. The Memory Freedom Museum in Nijverdal is highly recommended. Especially the 8 minute movie with special effects. The Pelmolen in Rijssen is also worth the tour (€ 3 per person).

A lovely house. fun games for children. eg Darts in the barn. There are many things to do in the area. eg GPS trip in cavities, especially with slightly older children very nice.The pool in Deventer is also fun on a worse day. We are pleasantly and warmly received. The house was for us, everything could be used. There was more than enough crockery and the like for 5 people (first with 2 adults, later with 3 young adults there). It is a fine accommodation both inside and outside. Within sufficient movement and living space. Two of the three bedrooms are in the basement. There the temperature is significantly lower. We had very nice weather, that extra coolness was fine. Downstairs in the basement also a toilet and wide sink. Upstairs in the bathroom toilet, sink and shower. With 5 people, the shower is attuned to each other, but that did take care of itself. Because of the beautiful weather and the beautiful surroundings a lot lived outside. The garden around the house is beautiful and very nice with the privacy and many seating areas. Enormously enjoyed the many birds that were partly busy to take care of the youngsters in the nest boxes. There is only one drawback to mention you hear quite a lot of traffic from the provincial road, but the birds present are doing their very best to drown out this sound. Environment is beautiful and very varied. You can go many ways. Two tips the walking bikes in Holten are recommended as well as grill-bar restaurant Legendarios (reservation is recommended).

We had arrived half an hour earlier than planned, but that was no problem for the owner and just received warmly! A bottle of wine and chocolates were ready at reception. Upon entering the house we immediately got a warm 'welcome-home-feeling', first impression was very good. After the owner had shown us all the rooms and facilities, we then looked at the beautiful garden at our leisure and could immediately enjoy all the bird song sounds. Although it was rainy this day and a bit gloomy outside, these sounds made it a lot happier. Both in the house itself and outside everything was well cared for and maintained. Inside it was nicely tidy, clean and the beds were tightly made and smelled wonderfully fresh. In terms of practical matters it was pretty complete, you could find almost anything if you needed something. I would definitely recommend this house if you like privacy and a natural environment. Here you can enjoy intense romantic evenings as well as with families or a small group of people. There is really plenty to do in the area, both for people who love nature and history and for the little ones and teenagers, who would like to do all kinds of outdoor activities, or for shop lovers in the nearby cities. You can also enjoy yourself in the cottage itself on rainy days. The holiday home was absolutely perfect. We stayed in Henk and Manny's house for a week during the autumn break. A very nice little house, clean and equipped with all amenities. With a beautiful garden and a garage where we could easily store our bikes. Really everything was present in the house and in the garage, lovely beds and very quiet.
