Take a break from city life at this family-centric holiday home near Geesteren, Overijssel. Dedicated to making the vacation memorable for kids, this home has lush green lawns, friendly farm animals and a children’s bed and high chair.
This vacation home is just 3 km from the town centre of Geesteren. The bike rental store is about 3 km away and that can be the starting point of your day excursions spent exploring the beautiful landscape of Twente.
You can also drive to Almelo for some shopping and restaurant hopping or further ahead to Zwolle. Kids will especially enjoy a trip to Ontdekhoek, with a science-based activity centre located here.

We are well received. The accommodation is mainly based on small people. The couch and chairs were quite low. So for large people that was difficult where you leave your legs.

Friendly helpful people who rented it out. Nice for the children that the house is near the deer farm and had a trampoline. Nice view. Unfortunately, the WiFi did not work well, and there were only 2 pleasant dining chairs with backrests, the other 2 dining chairs were stools without backrests. There was no DVD player available as described, but it was brought upon request upon arrival the next day.

We were in a pleasant and friendly manner welcomed, and we felt directly welcomed by the whole atmosphere, the surroundings and tasteful, warm interior of the cottage. The partly covered terrace with beautiful wooden benches looked so inviting us directly there -with a thick vest, which have well-being nestled by a snack and a drink to enjoy the beautiful, spacious and so relaxing view. the surroundings are great, both right around the cottage, if further, and especially well suited for splendid bicycle. We have enjoyed this too brief midweek. It's a place you want to come back !!

The restaurant of the Herterij was closed due to Crona measures, but it was possible to order a meal (recommended) and the terrace was partly open during the day. The view from the cottage is fantastic; you look freely over the fields and hear many birds. In Geesteren you can go for the necessary groceries and rent a bicycle. In the area there are many cycling and walking opportunities. We had perfect summer weather so we have seen a lot of the area. The city of Enschede is half an hour's drive away (car)
