Nestled amidst the hills and nature, this 1-bedroom cottage in Montebello di Fondo is near the lake and town centre and is ideal for a family of 4 with children to stay. It is pet-friendly and features a shared swimming pool, to beat the heat and a private terrace to relax.
Nature enthusiasts must visit the nearby Cinque Terre National Park. Garfagnana is also nearby with its caves and lakes. You can also explore the Apuan Alps with the Marble Quarries. To learn about the indigenous culture you can check out Pisa and Florence. The lake is at 5 km and the sea is a short drive away. The town centre lies 5 km away and you can find good restaurants at 1 km and supermarket at 2 km.
You can relish the barbecue and relax in the terrace or furnished garden enjoying the vines and olive groves. There is central heating for warmth and a living-dining room with double sofa bed to lounge. 2 pets can stay for a small fee. A cot and parking are also arranged.

We got wine from the neighbor, shops nearby. Peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery. We've been to Lucca and Cinque Terre. We had beautiful weather.

The house corresponded very our taste. Interior has been recently renovated. In Erdge is the kitchen with living room and the 1st floor bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Single and very large deficiency on the shower tray (in CA 1, 9Meter height) is never cleaned and we have found there black droppings !! Looked like mouse droppings. Otherwise, the situation with 2 dogs was ideal for us and the rest was also clean, but just not there ...

The cottage offered everything we needed, everything was there, the bed neatly made up and clean. The sofa had had its day, it sagged in the middle really on. We were well received and were given explanations and information, and a map of the area. The hostess spoke a little English. However, the upstairs was very warm, the wooden ceiling and the high temperature outside the heat was really hanging, we have bought themselves a fan so we could sleep better. The pool is small, but enough to take a walk to cool off. The village has a bakery and a small supermarket. The setting is beautiful and it is a good base to go. Various other places We have been in Pisa, Lucca, Florence, and Cinqe Terre. For beach lovers, this area is not advisable, the beaches are hard to reach, little parking and you have to pay almost everywhere for a bed, you can almost anywhere with your towel lying on the beach. For us this was the first time we have been to Italy and we missed the exuberant peaceful life we u200bu200bhad our holidays in Southern France accustomed. We have the old house on the property rented with two adults and two teenagers. There was more than enough space inside and outside, we had a nice private terrace. Everything was available in the kitchen (solid material). All the windows were equipped with blind and mosquito nets so you could sleep., Even with the windows open Quiet location, no street noise. Friendly and helpful owner who takes her time to explain the omgeveing u200bu200band the sights. Nice cooling pool in a beautiful garden. Beautiful setting in the mountains a car is needed from there to visit. Definitely recommended. We liked the old house above the detached new build bungalows. Everything was very neat both inside and outside the domain.

The old Italian house on the hill, has stunning views, quiet and is a good base. You are within 30 minutes at the station of La Spezia to go. Cinque Terre by train Or to the beach at Lerici. What was very surprising Ponte Verre. You can also cycle a afdelinkje to start with and a nice climb just to finish. Friendly welcome a warm welcome. In short, everything for a great holiday.

Cottage is a bit remote and a pity that there is no beach in La Spezia. The accommodation was alright, as described. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 weeks in the cottage and after one week we even got fresh sheets and towels. Surrounding area is beautiful and the pool at the cottage is also a plus.
