There are no restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity (at least half an hour by car to get anywhere). Recommendation to open where you have some drinks and snacks can use. We were three children, 8 years, 3 years and 10 months. The cottage met our needs. Ample space luxury, and plenty of outdoor space. Just a pity that we had no umbrella because after 16 o'clock we had no more shade on our terrace. Our cottage had no fence that we were missing some privacy. But fortunately there were not many people along our house so we were still quiet. The pool was fine and especially the heated master bath was fine. Our eldest amused himself with the other Dutch children, and when our youngest slept he could not seen much zwemmen.Van the environment itself. Unfortunately, the villa was a big disappointment. Of course, everything in the pictures is more beautiful than in real life, but this was really hard on arrival. I pay 95 euros for cleaning costs so also expect a clean house on arrival. Unfortunately this was not the case. But I had to really brush and vacuum on arrival before we could really go on holiday. After all, a lot of fun places on the walls of the bedrooms and during a rainstorm the water ran through the windows and doors into the bedrooms. Friendly welcome Spacious accommodation with all amenities. Stay was dusty. The 2nd bathroom had dust everywhere and lots of cobwebs in the houses, even on the couch. Extractor hood (which just did it) was greasy. If you have to pay a cleaning fee of € 95.00 yourself, I think the accommodation should shine. Environment is not attractive but that has to do with the time of year, We knew we came to the countryside so no problem. Park itself looks neat.

The accommodation is fine, a nice and spacious house. The house has a large garden which offers a lot of privacy. The grounds are neatly maintained, car-free (fun for playful children) and clear. It is very quiet in the evening and night. During the day, you will only hear nothing but playing children. Very quiet. There are little or no activities in the area. To do this you have to go by car (sometimes many miles away for example for a fishing or other sports facility.) The information on the website (in the form of text and pictures) suggests something different from reality. There are few / no Activities, cafes or restaurants within walking or cycling distance.

The chalet was spacious (also the area which was shielded by hedges), provide quiet and modern equipped. During the day we went to visit the area (with GPS and information brochures you come to an end). By evening we returned, the absent pool animation we not missed. WiFi was only at the reception (too distant for us) and by the pool (which was close to 8 o'clock), then there was no WIFI more. All in all a must.

Prima spacious cottage. Children will have great fun. There is nothing around to do, but we knew that. Pool was lovely. The animation team was a travesty. Every day, a drawing was pushed to the children and promised them the next day in good weather water games were going to do. This domain is beautifully above mention. Very nice cottages with all the comforts that have been built along small roads (in the form of a flower). Central a large, heated swimming pool! So this was a less assured pastime during sunny days! For shopping you have five minutes by car though a baker, butcher and Spar. For larger messages you need to Parthenay to as "half an hour's drive from Les Forges. Terms of location for shopping, this is certainly no downside for us. The fact is France where everything is already somewhat further apart. The only" less " was, the situation in terms of area. It is not necessarily the most beautiful region of France little hilly and scenic vistas. We are walkers, and then prefer the woods, but the people of the park could imagine just walks along the roads Too bad ...! Next time we buy a topographic map in advance!

A beautiful and well kept holiday recently. Very nice cottages, and the car park is free (however remote parking-house is not too big). Ideal for those who want a quiet holiday. Please note that for active holidays some research in advance is necessary because the park is somewhat remote. An hour away (by car) is sure what to do. This park is in itself is child friendly, the small playground is however what expansion / renovation. We already had a very enjoyable holiday. We just missed a small grocery store and restaurant on the domain itself. Definitely recommended, and in our opinion definitely worth the 4 stars.

The outdoor area is spacious and the bbq with each cottage is able fijn.In the environment is not very much to do, but if you do not mind having to hop in the car to move you within an hour's drive many possibilities. Lovely beautiful modern house and spacious garden. The heated swimming pool was very nice. The recreational team is not worth much. Two teenagers who color, cut and paste with the children for 2 hours from Tuesday to Friday morning. Not much initiative from those girls. A downside is no wifi in the houses, even though everyone would be willing to pay extra for it. The pool closed at 8:00 PM, and then you couldn't access the wifi zone or the playground. That was really a disadvantage. If you close the pool, at least keep the playground and wifi zone open. Every evening after closing, a large group of us stood outside the gate just to check our news on the internet. Pizzas from the neighboring golf course were tasty but quite expensive. €9.50 for a simple margherita. No air conditioning in the houses, but if you close the shutters when the sun is shining on the windows, you can keep the house cool.

We stayed two weeks at La Domaine des Forges. The cottages are beautiful and nicely furnished and fully equipped. Also the park looked neat. Unfortunately, the playground for the kids largely demolished by previous guests. The only drawback of the park is that you have to drive to go anywhere, such as Poitiers, Marais Poitevin, Niort, the beach etc. If you want to stay in one place and do not need to see anything or to add at least 1 hour to do in the holidays, La Domaine des Forges is a great vacation spot.

The house was very nice decorated and well maintained, all the trimmings including washing machine and dishwasher, a nice table and a seating area. Two nice bedrooms. Outside a top terrace where our child could just crawl around without causing damage. The barbecue we often used. The area is not very exciting, especially in August, recommended is the Marais de Poitevin, a channel area where you can bike fun. But the pool on site makes everything. Shame the restaurant by the pool is nothing, a few hours a day you can buy an ice cream or drink, that "s it. Well there is wifi. The cottages are luxurious. The setting is beautiful. The park is a 25-minute drive from a grocery store and that is what less. Our kids (14 and 16) would like the Internet. This was not available in the cottage, or by the pool. We've been to Parc Puy du Fou. The shows were very good, even though we did not understand French. We were three children, 8 years, 3 years and 10 months. The cottage met our needs. Ample space luxury, and plenty of outdoor space. Just a pity that we had no umbrella because after 16 o'clock we had no more shade on our terrace. Our cottage had no fence that we were missing some privacy. But fortunately there were not many people along our house so we were still quiet. The pool was fine and especially the heated master bath was fine. Our eldest amused himself with the other Dutch children, and when our youngest slept he could not seen much zwemmen.Van the environment itself. This domain is beautifully above mention. Very nice cottages with all the comforts that have been built along small roads (in the form of a flower). Central a large, heated swimming pool! So this was a less assured pastime during sunny days! For shopping you have five minutes by car though a baker, butcher and Spar. For larger messages you need to Parthenay to as "half an hour's drive from Les Forges. Terms of location for shopping, this is certainly no downside for us. The fact is France where everything is already somewhat further apart. The only" less " was, the situation in terms of area. It is not necessarily the most beautiful region of France little hilly and scenic vistas. We are walkers, and then prefer the woods, but the people of the park could imagine just walks along the roads Too bad ...! Next time we buy a topographic map in advance!

Home is very comfortable and equipped with all necessary (kitchen) equipment. Minor flaws such as uncleaned barbecue we take for granted. Furthermore, a nice quiet park, so quietly that even a deer came scurrying in the garden. Someday Prima baker in neighboring village, is faster than waiting for the baker of the service park. We enjoyed the beautiful spring in Les Forges. Many corrugated engenpten everything flourished. this is in terms of vegetation and birds a unique area! We had hoped for a peaceful holiday experience and it was better than expected. This is a region that deserves better. The location is on a quiet day driving. The domain is also an hour's drive from the coast. 40 km from futuruscope and near distance from the monkey park and close to the world of sheep. Prima spacious cottage. Children will have great fun. There is nothing around to do, but we knew that. Pool was lovely. The animation team was a travesty. Every day, a drawing was pushed to the children and promised them the next day in good weather water games were going to do. The house was very fully catered. Everything was on hand what you have at home. The garden was huge and the weather was very good. The complex had a pool and tennis court to the internet, so also for the older children was good for a week to keep. The only thing was that it was a little search before we found it. Domaine Les Forges is a small uncluttered park. There is a pool in the middle of the park where children can meet other children. We were in the middle of the summer holidays and although the park was almost full, it was wonderfully quiet. Unfortunately, the villa was a big disappointment. Of course, everything in the pictures is more beautiful than in real life, but this was really hard on arrival. The accommodation is fine, a nice and spacious house. The house has a large garden which offers a lot of privacy. The grounds are neatly maintained, car-free (fun for playful children) and clear. It is very quiet in the evening and night. During the day, you will only hear nothing but playing children. Very quiet. There are little or no activities in the area. To do this you have to go by car (sometimes many miles away for example for a fishing or other sports facility.) The information on the website (in the form of text and pictures) suggests something different from reality. There are few / no Activities, cafes or restaurants within walking or cycling distance.

Friendly welcome Spacious accommodation with all amenities. Stay was dusty. The 2nd bathroom had dust everywhere and lots of cobwebs in the houses, even on the couch. Extractor hood (which just did it) was greasy. If you have to pay a cleaning fee of € 95.00 yourself, I think the accommodation should shine. Environment is not attractive but that has to do with the time of year, We knew we came to the countryside so no problem. Park itself looks neat.

Little direct tourist environment near the village of Vasles is a plus (bakery, Spar, newspaper, bank, ...). No WiFi in the house, no dining options on the property, distances to tourist places are negatives. For absolute searchers, this domain is a must!

Very quiet area surrounded by meadows and fields. Closest cities are + / - 25 km away. Ideal for those seeking tranquility. The chalet was spacious (also the area which was shielded by hedges), provide quiet and modern equipped. During the day we went to visit the area (with GPS and information brochures you come to an end). By evening we returned, the absent pool animation we not missed. WiFi was only at the reception (too distant for us) and by the pool (which was close to 8 o'clock), then there was no WIFI more. All in all a must.

Our holiday was the first with our daughter (4 months) and we were looking for a comfortable house, with a garden where we could get. All good to rest That's exactly what we found.
