Environment very beautiful and an impressive location in such an "old abbey
Dione Boersma
Nice people! They spoke English well. There was plenty to do in the area. Furthermore, the house looked very neat and it was very swearing.
Bjorn Hulst
Authentic with lots of space and privacy, top!
Hans Vermeulen

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Pas de Calais. We stayed at no. 7 which is connected to the beautiful gateway that passers-by stopped to admire. Lovely owners, beautiful and peaceful setting,(miss feeding the ducks/geese peacock and chickens in the morning) we didn't want to leave and would love to return. Can also rent 2 other connected gites for larger groups of friends or family. Although connected they each have their own private garden and it feels very private. There is a TV, 6 french channels - scart connection if you want to take a portable dvd player or games console. Location - easy to reach beaches,(La Touquet is a fantastic beach with aquapark and a beautiful town behind selling fresh produce with lovely cafes, restaurants etc) theme parks (Bagatelle - enjoyed the bigtop show and 3 course meal in the evening and Nausicaa in Boulongne Sur Mer with seals, penguins and 4D show etc)and lovely villages like Montriel and St Riquier and historic sites such as Arras (underground tunnels, the tour is good), Azincourt and La Capoule (the V2 rocket site)

We were in St-André in the autumn of 2008. Great place, not too far away for a week. This is one week long enough for many activities were closed, and nearby coastal villages had some extinct character. Incidentally, the breath of fresh air on the coast (especially Somme bay we found quite nice). Nice reception, atmospheric place. However, two points of focus for future tenants. The promised bathtub was not present, for us a big disappointment (in the settlement of this complaint) because then we also had selected this house. And the fenced garden is indeed fenced, but the fence also includes the neighboring house. Or if you are traveling with a dog, who must then hit it with the neighbor's dog .... And conversely, if you come without a dog, we hope you love dogs, because occasionally there will be a visit .

Simple but decent decor. Extremely charming location with very friendly reception. It was a very enjoyable stay!

We had a good time in the area, the traffic was done smoothly, first some groceries, then arrived at the abbey, first search (an additional sign of belle villa or the like is desirable) and then turned the abbey. The big gate was open wide and indeed you enter the rest of an abbey. The owner arrived after some searching and showed us the beautifully restored house. Spacious and most conveniences are present. Of course we would like to see things differently, but tastes differ. In itself it was neat, but in the details it appeared that some corners were overlooked because some things from previous visitors were found. The beds are for Dutch people, on the small side ..... We Have felt well at home for a week by the peacocks and chickens who came to visit us regularly underneath the room window. The area has enough to offer but asks you to drive by car until an hour. The region is certainly not touristy, signage can be better and the tourist office, may think better about what we look for as a tourist, accommodation is offered sufficiently, but the people who want to do it are also doing something. Only a good roadmap with the "s to do" thing would provide a result. Beautiful beaches with life guards ..... And not as busy as in the Netherlands.

Despite the weather still enjoyed the holiday. Beautiful property in a beautiful region. On the best days, the beach BERCQ nt really far away 25 km. Montreuil you should definitely see. Belgian standards are the battlefields of the Somme (WW1) quite far away but we are in France so "t might be .A recommended for those looking for peace

Quiet, historic and well-preserved buildings, including fireplace and creaking stairs spread Bauerhausflair.Haus stands completely alone, bakery and supermarket 3 km away in the neighboring village, house due to its old design a bit noisy

We stayed in August 2005 a week in this cottage, the largest of the three verblijven.De description of the stay true to reality: this third stay next to each other with separate garden but common large lawn and part of a very large estate mn . a working farm which gives no hindrance. Sufficient for a week to explore the area a visit to Montreuil, Berck-Plage, the abbey gardens Valloires Argoules, a beach afternoon in the very busy Quend - les - Bains, a day Somme Bay and visit the gezelllige Le Crotoy with subsequent hunt for seals from the beach of Le Hourtel. For hikers, the very beautiful scenery and proximity to GR pluses. The weather was not that bad, the company also-we rented three families traveling with 3 stays) and the region is explored.

The abbey is very impressive. The hostess had already put a bottle of wine on the table when we arrived! Superb. In the courtyard sitting with a glass of French wine and a piece of cheese, is literally life at Frankrijk. In proximity is a visit to Montreuil-sur-mer recommended. A walk on the ramparts offers beautiful zichten.Wij also discovered the picturesque fishing port of Le Crotoy! We did our feast on the fruits mer.Vive la France!

LSBuitengewoon beautiful location where we stayed four days with pleasure. Although very simple furnished the house meets all the requirements that you may put on. Our final conclusion is slightly negatively affected by the fact that the female half of the couple managing our arrival at a very unfriendly manner "welcomed". After a perhaps typical northern French scheldkanonade have the fact that we had already paid the shelter accepted. This was not the case, then we turn around made it for us still guessing what was the cause, but one thing is certain;! There we had no part in ..... therefore, highly recommended .... to book, but avoid the caretaker (unless you like being insulted ...) Delftsche Motourclub

We're driving up...and all the parking lots are full. I look around where I should park my car, because parking in the middle of the road and thus blocking the passage for everyone does not seem neat. There is lawn everywhere. Empty big cardboard boxes that apparently once sat around a TV are on the lawn, buckets here and there, some metal things scattered around. Due to lack of space I put my car as far as possible to the side and with 2 tires on that lawn. After some searching, a woman comes running hot from the building and begins to dine with me in French without hesitation. I had already read a review somewhere that there was a "castle Karen" somewhere...and I think I had found her.I try to make it clear that we are the new guests and have no idea where to report, which is which are French mighty, but no waterfall. After which I then only get yelled at in English where I got the guts to desecrate her grass. Thought for myself that the value of the lawn had increased by the current value of our car the moment we touched it, but she I apparently thought otherwise. I indicated that I was not aware of anything between the cardboard and the buckets, but if it displeased her so much I naturally wanted to stand in the middle of the road otherwise. She would go and see her husband These were the experiences of our first 5 minutes.Meneer himself was the opposite of his EGA happy and tap image of courtesy.Further ... no wifi as was promised. We wanted to go on the gravel. Asked whether the children were allowed to play on the grass, that was allowed. The swing was otherwise inaccessible. Overall impression of the "estate" was that we were fortunately on the side which was fairly neat. Other parts would probably have been declared uninhabitable long ago. Except for the lack of windows,

We had a great time over the two weeks. The children (inc teenager) loved the on-site facilities (badminton and table tennis) which kept them occupied. We had no problem with the cleanliness that others have mentioned and the owners were very friendly. We thought it was quite good value for money. My daughter has loved learning about the farm and the children loved seeing chickens and peacocks running around in the back and front gardens. It was easy to get to everywhere. The water park nearby was affordable and fun (but remember speedos for men and boys). There was a lovely 'frite' van just off the dual carriageway which was great for the family. Just be aware of the exit from the holiday property, it could do with a mirror as it is a busy road. We also did not find a problem with the noise from the road and enjoyed the backgarden

The cottage is one of four apartments consisting of a converted wing of an ancient monastery. The houses are renovated and the location and position in the landscape are very special. The rest of the monastery is not accessible and clearly cared less and messy. The home has an impressive fireplace and the administrator makes available wood. Unlike reported earlier descriptions, the manager was friendly. The area is rural and open, but there are nice, but old town in nearby omgeving.De home despite the space and location, relatively expensive and the price-quality ratio is therefore less favorable.

We had an excellent holiday, the surroundings were very rural and quiet. A large garden with a barbeque and garden furniture were very welcome and the children had loads of fun feeding the chickens. The rooms were large and airy and the kitchen fittings were very comprehensive.

The address was hard to find with our GPS, but some friendly villagers helped us well. The accommodation was very good: an old building refurbished without affecting its authentic character. Friendly daughter of the house and friendly homeowner-active farmer. Impressive building with majestic entrance gate surrounded by grain fields, potato fields and corn fields. You can make a nice holiday yourself. The accommodation and environment are important, but subordinate to your attitude to make something of it yourself.

we had a nice time at the cottage with his all. It's a nice house with all comforts especially for young children. Lovely setting with lots of wildlife and farm animals. We do have some need to travel by car to see great things from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours. Nice places were Berck (beach), Saint -Valery-Sur Somme (port town on particular delta area), Montereuil (old city wall citadel and beautiful streets), the market in Hesdin on Thursday from 800-1300 and Gerberoy (small picturesque village) the host is a quiet nice man. The hostess is more spirit and can happen to bone, but with a good heart. My son 1,5 years had locked herself in the house. The hostess and neighbors have done their best to free him again. Which is also managed by their helpfulness. recommended, good value for money.
Carlo De Winter
The house is an ideal base to visit the area. The house is pretty "basic" and not yet fully refurbished (double glazing only one side), but has lots of charm (including through a large fireplace). Due to the rain and the many visits to the area we did not use of available facilities (table tennis, playground), but we did not really go on zoek.Zoals in more places in France we had a car to "our morning baguette to search. Much information on the area available in the house.

We have a nice weekend behind. Too bad the weather is not meezat, because then we might have and enjoy the beautiful garden. Much more of the environment The building itself is a bit old (they are renovating) but therefore have a charm. Especially the fireplace has given us hilarious moments. Too bad we have to wait and whatever had. Cold on the wood But for the rest we have amused at this place.

We have here one of our short break genoten.De owner was very vriendelijk.De condition of the property was old but it was the adjacent apartment to refurbish (after ours?) Well there was anything available in the cottage house aanwezig.Het was not very clean.

Great place to get all the way to unwind. Good cycling along the rivers Canche and Ajuthie.De villages Hesdin and Montreuil are within reach and a day at the beach at Le Touquet example is doable. There are Dutch books available. Through the forest beautiful wandelpaden.Prima bed and pillows.

The residence is close to the highway which is interesting when you exit a plant every day. Not really ideal if you are looking for rest spot for the garden immediately adjacent to the road and the traffic can be disturbing. The cottage itself is well equipped but we expect a mandatory € 50 for cleaning a little more cleanliness (dishwasher was dirty). Global would be a good place for a short break on the border of pas-de-Calais and Picardy.

A beautiful house, lots of space. There is, however, a fairly busy D road behind the garden. The promised Jeu de boules court turned out not to be there. Playset turned out to be a toddler slide. The photos are outdated. The appearance of the garden has completely changed.
