We had a little house in Wierre Effroy. A nice house, spacious with a large garden with furniture. Large living room with a spacious kitchen. Upstairs two spacious bedrooms. The spiral staircase is manageable. The bathroom was nice. There is a good baker in the village. Boulogne sur Mer is relatively close. A good restaurant is somewhat difficult to find nearby. All in all, we had a very good stay!!

Beautiful and cozy house in a very quiet location with a large dog-friendly garden. Within an hour's drive there is a lot to do and see: beautiful nature, nice villages and beautiful cities. Less than 5 minutes walk from the house is a great restaurant: L'Eau à la Bouche. Excellent host who provided a good welcome and was easily accessible during our stay. Warm welcome. The house is very conveniently located: an oasis of peace. Garden is ideal if you bring the dog. In a circumference of 25 km you will discover the coast, fields and forests. The restaurant "L"eau á la bouche" at 400m from the house is recommended.

Fantastic property with two fine houses, well separated, tasty privé.Prachtig located in the countryside near the sea in a beautiful setting. Quite difficult to vinden.Alle conditions were clear and the receipt by the owner who likes to speak English was also perfect.The cottage fully met, it was only an old-fashioned coffee machine. There was even a table tennis and badminton in the large private garden available and we could see the bikes use.The landscape is otherwise very well heuvelachtig.Wij will very likely return here for a longer stay, our midweek was to verkenning.We did have fantastic again, as it pours here it is possible less.

We had a wonderful time in a very quiet old house. Rooms are clean and the common room on the ground floor is very large. You should only go up the spiral staircase without wine. The garden is closed and offers a good run for dogs. We will definitely come again. The landlord is very nice.

This holiday home is in a very quiet location, with lots of privacy, on the grounds of a charming country house. We were welcomed very friendly with extensive explanations about the area, and we immediately felt welcome. The area was surprisingly nice, we have been here for a week in the autumn holidays. Although the weather wasn't great, there is plenty to do, for example walking on the beautiful beaches at Les Deux Caps, or in the dunes at La Slack and Ambleteuse. The beautiful aquarium in Boulogne sur Mer is also recommended for at least half a day. The area is green, lots of small-scale agriculture, and quite hilly. You can buy delicious cheese in the village at the traditional cheese factory, and there is an excellent bakery (there are bicycles at the house, and this is easy to do on the bike). For other groceries there are large supermarkets in the village at 5 km. The house is great for a family, with a comfortable bathroom, a washing machine, and great beds, and the heating gets the house warm quickly when it is cold outside. The kitchen is quite small and simple, but everything works properly. The large private garden is very nice for playing badminton, table tennis, etc. Highly recommended for a rather unknown, but very special, part of France.

We were received super friendly and hospitable by Julien the manager. A delicious plum pie and apple juice and a fruit bowl full of apples were waiting for us. The cottage is fully equipped, neat, clean. Wonderfully quiet country setting. Great restaurant within walking distance if you just don't feel like cooking. The Opal Coast itself is also a beautiful area. Certainly the 2 caps, and beautiful places such as Wimereaux ...

We were warmly welcomed by the host with cakes and cold drinks and introduced to everything. The property had charm and was well equipped. In particular, the large garden had many possibilities of use: badminton, table tennis, deck chairs, tables and benches with parasol. The fully fenced garden could thus be used well by children, parents and dog. Positive was also the short distance to the sea on the one hand and the proximity of some cities on the other.

We immediately felt welcome. Own little lawn with loungers and dining table with umbrella provide privacy, but the host and hostess are nearby and always ready for questions or assistance. This gite is peacefully located, but you can drive ten minutes to the Caps or Wimereux. Especially when the weather is nice, this is an ideal holiday resort for families with young children. The cottage is nicely decorated and spacious enough for five people, and well equipped. Bikes are available free of charge to guests. A beautiful and peaceful location for a wonderful holiday!

My family and I visited Wierre Effroy at the beginning of April 2013 and we stayed in the Londefort gite for about a week. My wife and I brought along our 2 year old daughter and my parents during our visit. The primary reasons for our stay in the area were to go a wedding at the excellent nearby hotel/restaurant/farm "Le ferme du vert" and to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the north of France. During our stay we found the owners of the gite (the Duwat family) to be extremely friendly and willing to assist us with anything from recommendations of places to go, to wines to drink and things to occupy us at the gite. Indeed Julien demonstrated on his handy map plenty of places where we could go for the day and even setup an impressive ping-pong table outside for us to play on! With regards to the accommodation it had two bedrooms on the upport floor and a large open plan living space (kitchen, dining, lounge area) for us to relax in on the ground floor. Everything we needed to cook meals and dine in was provided for and we were even greeted on arrival by some delicious fresh bread and homemade jam to eat with it. Whilst we were staying in the area we visited plenty of beaches (Wimeroux, Wissent and Le Touquet), the sea-life centre in Boulogne sur mer, a couple of war museums and manage to eat in plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the area despite the unseasonably cold weather and we hope to return in the future at some point. In addition we would recommend the gite to anyone and would be certain that all guests would receive the same level of care, attention and hospitality that we received. To the coast is about fifteen minutes away tie but did not mind because the road is already very enjoy the rolling countryside and beautiful boerderijen.Een must for walkers, cyclists and seeker!

We arrived on Saturday 28th May 2011. It was our first visit to a gite in France....and our first impressions were very good! The gite was easy to get to from Calais (which is where we travelled from), and is situated in a small, peaceful village called Wierre Effroy, which we later found had some lovely walking routes. Having parked up, we were met by the very friendly Manager, Julien, who instantly made us feel welcome and gave us a little tour of the house. We were also shown 2 bikes, that we could use (for free) if we wanted to. There were some fresh flowers on the table, milk and soft drinks in the fridge to get us started. The house contained everything we needed: cooker, microwave, washing machine, kettle (which Julien said he purchased especially for English people who like a cup of tea!), TV/DVD, CD player, shower room, and 2 very spacious bedrooms with lovely views of the garden and adjacent fields. The heating system was very good, and the house soon warms up (if you want it to). The garden had 2 recliners if you wanted to relax, and a good sized table, chairs and parasol if you wanted to eat out. The overall experience was just as we had hoped for, and we are already planning to return next year.

This is a house of tranquility. Direct access to the large garden a little brook. The facilities are well catered for. And we liked the walking environment (bicagelandschap) tremendously. As a tourist trip is the Opal Coast with two high cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches are beautiful and reasonably rustig.De owner is not intrusive but see the little things that make a stay enjoyable: a bottle of coke for the kids when they see that the hot step out of the car, etc.

Even the beds were exceptionally good, which is not always necessarily for France is standard (this was our 5th Fankreich holiday). We had a wonderful stay here, two weeks with our 4 year old son and dog. We loved the garden, everyday we played games outside and also had dinner under the umbrella.- Beach days at la plage Boulogne sur Mer.- Croissants, baquette en flans, delicious at bakery Le Fournil.- Lunch at Place Dalton in the city Boulogne , visit l "eglise Saint Nicolas and walk around the old city wall.- Notre Dame de Boulogne, impressive.- Jeu de Boules, football, ping pong, badminton and a picnic in the garden and drink a glass of wine in the relaxing chair in the sun. - Musee Batterie Todt. - Our son loved Eurolac in Ardres. - Very good wifi in and around the house. Arrival: well ..... No one present; only because we sent an e-mail ourselves to inform us of our arrival time, we learned from the owner that he would not be there. Also had to ask where we had to get the key: sat on the door. (Later got the impression that this friendly man was pretty tired and a bit messy). Very nice that there was juice, water and a plum pie ready. Later we still got apples. House: the room friendly informal, lots of ditjes and datjes and partly outdated furniture. Kitchen corner very awkward. Part of the cutlery was dirty. Scary spiral staircase with pieces without handrail or cord. Bedrooms good but separated by thin wall with cracks in the beams (so no privacy); mattress in need of renewal; moltons not fresh, who smoked for the (good!) pillows to the previous residents. Fine spacious bathroom unfortunately smelled of sewer and shower now has many places with limescale and o.i. some mold. The dusty heating (will be renewed soon) worked great; The house is perfectly insulated and therefore also suitable as a winter residence. Location: excellent. Nice at such a real French country house. Own piece of grass on a splashing stream. Immediate surroundings surprisingly hilly. Côte Opale beautiful and fun.

Above expectations we found our stay in Londefort! On arrival we found within the table delicious pate a single bottle of wine. The cot was put ready. Later the owner is a doss apples from the garden, even so tasty! The pictures we found less clearly revealed than in reality. In the "Echie" is gezelliger.De garden is really delicious. Especially with a sun! We have two days sunshine had two days fog, rain and two days as "final" on the day of departure hail. But inside the house is a nice place, movies, music and books. We will be back!

The beaches are very diverse, lots of crabs and stones to be bewundern.Schöne excursions, including the port of Boulogne (discharge exciting fish ...). Londefort is a very comfortable house, well equipped and beautifully situated in a quiet area. the owners are very friendly and helpful, but also offer a lot of privacy. For people who take their dogs, the garden is not closed, so take a long leash or rope, that way the dog can walk out quietly. The setting is lovely, nice beaches and towns, we found Le Touquet-Paris-Plage very nice, but Dunkirk, St.Omer etc. and all accessible within half an hour, so you do not spend hours in the car to sit. We enjoyed this region of France. The cottage is a perfect base for excursions. There is much to see in the area. We've had a lot of wind and therefore less at the cottage dwelt. The cottage is well furnished and fully equipped. The owner was most friendly and has a series of wines chosen you possibly can taste. Krotom, definitely worth it!

We immediately felt welcome. Own little lawn with loungers and dining table with umbrella provide privacy, but the host and hostess are nearby and always ready for questions or assistance. This gite is peacefully located, but you can drive ten minutes to the Caps or Wimereux. Especially when the weather is nice, this is an ideal holiday resort for families with young children. The cottage is nicely decorated and spacious enough for five people, and well equipped. Bikes are available free of charge to guests. A beautiful and peaceful location for a wonderful holiday!

This is a house of tranquility. Direct access to the large garden a little brook. The facilities are well catered for. And we liked the walking environment (bicagelandschap) tremendously. As a tourist trip is the Opal Coast with two high cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches are beautiful and reasonably rustig.De owner is not intrusive but see the little things that make a stay enjoyable: a bottle of coke for the kids when they see that the hot step out of the car, etc.

We enjoyed the stay in the house very Londefort. The small house is very cozy and comfortable. The entire property has a special charm. We have with our children (1Y. and 5J.) Spent a quiet holiday, yet very much experience - beach days in Wissant, visit Meeresmusum Nausicaa in Bologne-sur-Mer, a day trip to Dover and Canterbury, the two caps of the Opal Coast, the city of Lille, etc. If the space-saving staircase would not hedged and the bathroom is renovated, it is a 5stars address for families and Julien, the son of the family is a friendly and very bemühter hosts.

The welcome from the host was fantastic. The cabin is fairly basic, but everything is available. Nice quiet location. What we noticed was the cleanliness. Everything was very clean. One minus the spiral staircase to the top is not suitable for older people and (small) children. On our arrival there was a delicious bread and cheese on the table ready with a bottle of juice. Boulogne sur mer we visited on market day but this was nothing but the old town was really worth a stroll along the old city walls. This holiday home is in a very quiet location, with lots of privacy, on the grounds of a charming country house. We were welcomed very friendly with extensive explanations about the area, and we immediately felt welcome. The area was surprisingly nice, we have been here for a week in the autumn holidays. Although the weather wasn't great, there is plenty to do, for example walking on the beautiful beaches at Les Deux Caps, or in the dunes at La Slack and Ambleteuse. The beautiful aquarium in Boulogne sur Mer is also recommended for at least half a day. The area is green, lots of small-scale agriculture, and quite hilly. You can buy delicious cheese in the village at the traditional cheese factory, and there is an excellent bakery (there are bicycles at the house, and this is easy to do on the bike). For other groceries there are large supermarkets in the village at 5 km. The house is great for a family, with a comfortable bathroom, a washing machine, and great beds, and the heating gets the house warm quickly when it is cold outside. The kitchen is quite small and simple, but everything works properly. The large private garden is very nice for playing badminton, table tennis, etc. Highly recommended for a rather unknown, but very special, part of France.

Our vacation in this house was perfect, everything has fit together. First, the quiet location which gives us great distance from everyday life, and then the beautiful and varied landscape. Then there was sunny and warm weather, so we were able to swim with the kids (9 and 3 years) gorgeous. Culinary we got our money's worth too. Arrival: well ..... No one present; only because we sent an e-mail ourselves to inform us of our arrival time, we learned from the owner that he would not be there. Bedrooms good but separated by thin wall with cracks in the beams (so no privacy); mattress in need of renewal; moltons not fresh, who smoked for the (good!) pillows to the previous residents. Fine spacious bathroom unfortunately smelled of sewer and shower now has many places with limescale and o.i. some mold. The dusty heating (will be renewed soon) worked great; The house is perfectly insulated and therefore also suitable as a winter residence. Location: excellent. Nice at such a real French country house. Own piece of grass on a splashing stream. Immediate surroundings surprisingly hilly. Côte Opale beautiful and fun.

We were warmly welcomed by the host with cakes and cold drinks and introduced to everything. The property had charm and was well equipped. We loved this house from the very start. A warm welcome from our host and everything we needed. The kitchen is well supplied and the cooking facilities good. The garden is beautiful and it was very pleasant just to lie in the sun. Londefort is sourrounded by beautiful green rolling hills with very pleasant little villages and beautiful sandy beaches only a few miles away. And it's easy to travel longer distances, as the A16 is close and we love France's road network - no traffic jams or queues! We were a couple holidaying alone, but this house would also be great for children, though probably not for toddlers because of the spiral staircase.

For people who take their dogs, the garden is not closed, so take a long leash or rope, that way the dog can walk out quietly. We (family with two boys 13 and 15) were the first time in France. We are very impressed by the hospitality and the scenery. The house offers all the comfort and is very spacious and well appointed. The owners are extremely nice. It was very hot when we arrived were so cold drinks in the fridge. The house is located just off the village very quiet. It was nice and cool in the heat. Two good bikes were ready to explore the surrounding area. The coast is about 15 miles and very worth seeing. You can see the English coast. Very nice (sandy) beaches that invite both at low tide and at high tide to swim. Supermarket with cheaper gas station is about five kilometers away, Baker km approx second Ausflugstip Cap Blanc Nez and the old town of Boulogne sur mer. There you can eat fresh fish and mussels. My family and I visited Wierre Effroy at the beginning of April 2013 and we stayed in the Londefort gite for about a week. My wife and I brought along our 2 year old daughter and my parents during our visit. The primary reasons for our stay in the area were to go a wedding at the excellent nearby hotel/restaurant/farm "Le ferme du vert" and to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the north of France.

During our stay we found the owners of the gite (the Duwat family) to be extremely friendly and willing to assist us with anything from recommendations of places to go, to wines to drink and things to occupy us at the gite. Indeed Julien demonstrated on his handy map plenty of places where we could go for the day and even setup an impressive ping-pong table outside for us to play on!

With regards to the accommodation it had two bedrooms on the upport floor and a large open plan living space (kitchen, dining, lounge area) for us to relax in on the ground floor. Everything we needed to cook meals and dine in was provided for and we were even greeted on arrival by some delicious fresh bread and homemade jam to eat with it.

Whilst we were staying in the area we visited plenty of beaches (Wimeroux, Wissent and Le Touquet), the sea-life centre in Boulogne sur mer, a couple of war museums and manage to eat in plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafes.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the area despite the unseasonably cold weather and we hope to return in the future at some point. In addition we would recommend the gite to anyone and would be certain that all guests would receive the same level of care, attention and hospitality that we received. Above expectations we found our stay in Londefort! On arrival we found within the table delicious pate a single bottle of wine. The cot was put ready. Later the owner is a doss apples from the garden, even so tasty! The pictures we found less clearly revealed than in reality. In the "Echie" is gezelliger.De garden is really delicious. Especially with a sun! We have two days sunshine had two days fog, rain and two days as "final" on the day of departure hail. But inside the house is a nice place, movies, music and books. On arrival we were welcomed by the mother of Julien, the owner. She helped us around in the fine house that all gamekken features: nice, cozy bedrooms with nice beds, nice cot for our daughter, a nice bathroom with a nice tub, a separate shower and a washbasin with 2 taps and sinks . Besides the bath was even a piece of furniture with a verschoonkussen, ideal if your baby into the bath increases. We have also enjoyed the delicious wine, delicious bread and homemade jams. Due to the weather we have unfortunately not much enjoy the beautiful garden, but fortunately the environment so much to offer, such as Boulogne sur mer and beautiful coast with "Lesson 2 caps". A must in immediate vicinity to eat out is La ferme du vert. In short, really great if you're not too far to drive to France in the feeling to have from it all.

Lovely house, it started right away with the very welcoming reception by the owner (a regional beer was cold) and Julien discussed the many possibilities for excursions in the area. In the week that followed we certainly took advantage of his advice and discovered what a beautiful part of France this is. We were lucky with the weather, exceptionally good for the end of August/beginning of September, a nice breakfast outside, at the beginning of the evening an aperitif on a bench at the setting sun. And then at 200 m a perfect restaurant, ideal!. We enjoyed, well equipped (good beds) and seen a lot. Recommended. Thanks Julian.
