Quiet location in the middle of meadows, likely hard to find without GPS coordinates. It is an older house that has great charm from the outside but is very lived-in on the inside. It feels dark, and when the temperatures are cooler (down to 20 degrees), it drafts through the door gaps. The pictures show "cabinets" that were not actually there. We found old (also musty-smelling) cabinets and did not use them. Electrical outlets are scarce in some rooms. Keeping the temperature at the water pipes was sometimes a feat ;-)

We knew that there was no WiFi, but inside the house on the ground floor, there is only reception in certain corners; it gets better on the upper floors.
There is no outdoor lighting.
The stairs were not usable for our Jack Russell – we had to carry him up and down.
There were four of us – the dishes just barely fit. If there are really 8 people there, it could get cramped. The supervisors Cathrin and Ron were very nice, but not always directly reachable - which again is related to the network.
The garden was completely sufficient - our dog felt at home immediately.
Important to know: the access to the garden is very small - up to about 160 cm one can pass through without hitting their head - taller people have to bend down here.
All in all, it was a nice week, the fireplace created a lovely atmosphere in the evenings.

It was a wonderful stay for the umpteenth time! Normandy in November is simply impressive. The house provides a wonderful starting point for excursions to the coast and the countryside. The accessible, friendly, and lovable host couple contributed significantly to making the stay unforgettable again. We would love to come back!

Big house, comfy beds, and a garden for days, Perfect for the whole squad or fam, A lil trip to Mont-St, Michel was easy and worth it, A solid 10/10 experience!

A charming and quiet getaway! The house is spacious and located in a beautiful rural area. We found the kitchen very useful for preparing meals. The only downside was the lack of Wi-Fi, but we enjoyed the break from screens.

Normandy's NATURE at its best. On top of a hill with a wide, unobstructed view of meadows and forests. An almost English park-like landscape with hinds and squirrels, and at the bottom of the hill a rushing river for the fly fisherman.
An indescribable PEACE, you are alone, on a dead end road, with only the house of the old but cheerful owners at some distance. Sympathetic people, who are there when you ask for it.
The house is simple, but has everything one needs. The location is good, the coast is not far away.

We were very kindly received by the owner and his wife and were given a tour of the house. Ron and Katie Fletcher gave us all kinds of information about the area and the sights. They live nearby, are always reachable but leave their guests completely free. The very complete and clean holiday home is beautifully situated a few kilometers from Sourdeval-les Bois, with a fantastic view from the terrace on the hilly landscape of meadows and forests. We have made nice trips to the Mont Saint-Michel, the abbey of Hambye, Granville and the beach of Saint-Martin.

We were warmly welcomed in this cozy house, by Mr and Mrs, with a nice and warm fire in the wood stove. The house is as in the pictures.The fireplace is a warm center where we really enjoyed (we were here in November) .The view is very beautiful and the location central and rural in Normandy s "At night you can only hear the owl. We like that. From La Sayère you can easily explore this part of Normandy and visit the sights. We have of course visited Mont Saint Michel (very impressive and nice and quiet in winter), Ste Mère Eglise with museum and Utah beach. Granville has a very nice fish shop for fish and oysters from the region. Also a must! We also found the arrival of the fishing boats very nice to see. Furthermore, we have a wonderful walk in the area and on the coast. Our dog Bess has also enjoyed!

we were welcomed by a very friendly couple (the owners) who just got the fire ready so we can start it if wanted and there was a bottle of bubbles cool in the fridge;). the house is surrounded by lovely fields .. the house is perfectly equiped .. there was nothing that we missed ... !!! we had lovely walks (enough info in the information centers in villages closeby .. we sleep like babies !!! (lovely bed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) it was never too cold or too warm… it was ever so quiet .. we couldn't ask for more. the dogs had the time of their lives… and also slept like babies !!

House was great, very clean and very well equipped. Owners are very friendly and the privacy is huge. Only downside for us was the fact that the many hectares of land were mainly for the view. We have two small children and there is electric fence everywhere. The owners wanted this best for us, but you have no idea where the estate ends and that of another begins ... also there were many thistles and nettles in the field. Nothing but praise, but this was the only point we had expected something else.
