Our family had an unforgettable stay at the Mansion in Lavercantière! The private pool was a big hit with the kids, and we spent countless hours splashing around. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking, and we loved enjoying our meals on the terrace with a beautiful view. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare some delicious French dishes. We also took a short trip to Gourdon for shopping and dining, which was a lovely treat. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. A perfect retreat for families!

House with many possibilities. 3 rooms and bathrooms, nice pool, new kitchen, nice interior and very quiet location. Unfortunately, the residence is not well maintained. 1 defective shower, leaking tap at the sink, clogged gutters so that water flows in through the front door when it rains, but especially not well cleaned. On our arrival we still found dust, cobwebs everywhere and the bathrooms were not clean. This seriously dented our holiday experience.

The outdoor setting, the pool, terrace and kitchen were very pleasant. We are sorry that the idyllic holiday feeling was disrupted by unsanitary conditions. The cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, living room left something to be desired. Mold in the bathrooms (shower), dog hair on the mat in the living room, cobwebs and other insects everywhere, downstairs bedrooms were very damp and smelled very musty. There was hardly any storage space for your clothes in the downstairs bedrooms. The baskets in the closet smelled so musty that we left our clothes in our suitcases. During a heavy rain shower, the water flows into the bedroom. Wifi does not work in the house. We won't be coming back here.

We had a wonderful week in and around Maison Mayrac. In this corona time, we barely got off our hilltop. That was not necessary either: we could enjoy all the nice spots in and around the houses from "early morning until" late at night. And especially the (heated) top swimming pool. Evert received us perfectly: enough explanation about the most important things, but he also left enough to discover for himself. The area around Mayrac is beautiful and with the many maps and brochures we knew what to do. The cottages are well equipped and immaculate. The mouse from the previous review only beep once. The good weather was certainly there, but the place is at the heart of all the possible and unimaginable visits that you can make in the Lot and the Dordogne, the owner provides a lot of information on everything that can be visited during your trip. stay. Inside a lot less ... mice, centipedes in the beds, spiders in every nook and cranny, walls covered with cobwebs , mosquitoes dead in every corner or windowsill, not to mention all that was under the seat and cupboards. A very nice kitchen with very solid appliances. On arrival there appeared to be no hot water. Notified the concierge on site and a few hours later a plumber arrived, great and quickly resolved. Unfortunately there was again no hot water the next day ... Back to a concierge, let a plumber come by, after one shower again no hot water. With a baby of 8 months, it is not ideal to be without hot water for 4 days. We finally left home a day earlier, too bad. With a decent cleaning after every stay and a permanent solution for the water, this is really a top house, too bad they are now neglecting it so much.

A beautiful location in the middle of nature, no direct neighbors, beautiful views, beautiful walking path right next door and in terms of location ideal for visiting cities such as Sarlat, Rocamadour, Cahors, Domme, St. Cirq Lapopie. There is plenty of entertainment for young and old in the area, both in the Lot and in the Dordogne. The division of living / living house and sleeping house is ideal and ensures that you can sleep well at night in the sleeping house that has remained cool throughout the day. The swimming pool also provides the necessary cooling during the day and there are also plenty of shade areas to sit / lie down. The well-designed (atmospheric) lighting around the house means that you can sit outside, swim or play jeu de boules late at night. The house is beautifully located, surrounded by nature and offering a fantastic panoramic view, especially at sunset, which is an unforgettable experience. The concept of two houses is very practical. The daytime house is spacious, with a perfectly equipped kitchen and a comfortable TV corner, as well as a toilet, a sink, and a shower. The terrace is beautiful and large, but unfortunately not protected from the sun, which makes it unusable when it is very hot and especially in the evening. The night house is very comfortable, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Between the two houses, a staircase leads to the pool, which is very nice and large (10 x 5 m). Too bad the water cannot be heated, as the system is broken. In the surroundings, you can take great walks from 1 to 5-10 km. One must approach the house cautiously by car, as the roads are narrow and it is not recommended to drive at high speed. Overall, we had a very nice vacation, the region is rich in history and natural sites, in wines and gastronomy.

We had a great time here with 3 couples. Very quiet secluded house with a lot of privacy. The concept of 2 houses is great. Pool with beautiful view, and good modern kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with two double beds and 1 room with two single beds. And good mattresses! Two bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 bedroom with open stairs and private bathroom on the 1st floor. 3 toilets available, 2 showers and 1 bath. Pool is (I think) not heated. But it is lovely to lie under the awnings in the shade! A larger dining table is recommended for enjoying meals outside with 6 people. The outdoor chairs (both upstairs and by the pool) also need updating. Only in terms of hygiene could it be better: dust, cobwebs, dirty toilet brushes, showers not top-notch,… nice walking paths nearby. Salviac, Cazals, and Cahors are very nice towns nearby! Really a recommendation! We would definitely go back!

How quiet it is here. This is deepest rural France although shops for provisions are only 20 mins away and the market on Sunday at Cazals is a must. Swimming pool is great and of a good size. Our only criticism is the fact that the sleeping house is separate from the living house but this is manageable. This place is ideal for those who like peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful week in and around Maison Mayrac. In this corona time, we barely got off our hilltop. That was not necessary either: we could enjoy all the nice spots in and around the houses from "early morning until" late at night. And especially the (heated) top swimming pool. Evert received us perfectly: enough explanation about the most important things, but he also left enough to discover for himself. The area around Mayrac is beautiful and with the many maps and brochures we knew what to do. The cottages are well equipped and immaculate. The mouse from the previous review only beep once. That's how it goes, in the middle of nature, and we will definitely come back one day. Thanks!

The outdoor setting, the pool, terrace and kitchen were very pleasant. We are sorry that the idyllic holiday feeling was disrupted by unsanitary conditions. The cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, living room left something to be desired. Mold in the bathrooms (shower), dog hair on the mat in the living room, cobwebs and other insects everywhere, downstairs bedrooms were very damp and smelled very musty. There was hardly any storage space for your clothes in the downstairs bedrooms. The baskets in the closet smelled so musty that we left our clothes in our suitcases. During a heavy rain shower, the water flows into the bedroom. Wifi does not work in the house. We won't be coming back here.

Unfortunately, the residence is not well maintained. 1 defective shower, leaking tap at the sink, clogged gutters so that water flows in through the front door when it rains, but especially not well cleaned. On our arrival we still found dust, cobwebs everywhere and the bathrooms were not clean. This seriously dented our holiday experience.
