Domaine de la Borderie is a charming estate nestled in the heart of the Dordogne. Perched on a hill, this former French hamlet consists of a few characterful houses, four of which are available as holiday rentals. Choose from La Bergerie (for 2, newly renovated in 2025), La Chaumière (for 5), and La Fermette (for 8+2). Each can be booked individually or together—perfect for a peaceful getaway with family or friends.
The houses are tastefully decorated with respect for their original charm. Scattered across the wooded estate are cozy shared spots, including a wood-fired pizza oven at the center, near the home of the welcoming managers. The newly upgraded pool (2023) is a summer favorite, while the jeu de boules court offers a truly French touch. In La Fermette’s spacious living room, guests can enjoy music around the grand piano or gather by the fireplace. The terrace, with panoramic views, is ideal for sunset dinners and drinks.

La Borderie has a very special ambience, with many surprising nooks and crannies and lush gardens. It is almost like stepping into another time.

The hameau is situated on top of a hill, right in the heart of the Dordogne, and is closely connected to the natural world around it. It is an ideal place for people who love peace and tranquillity.

The estate has 6 accommodations, 4 of which are to let: a country house called "La Fermette" (FR-24620-07) for 8 people with an accompanying "Maison d'Amie" for 2 people, "La Bergerie" (FR-24620-09) for 2 people and "La Chaumiere" (FR-24620-09) for 6 people. The country house also contains a sofa bed for 2 people.

The Dutch couple who manage the estate live on it year round. The owners, who are also Dutch, spend a few weeks in their own house each year.

The estate is ideal for a romantic group holiday or family holiday for 18 to 20 people. It offers plenty of space for spending time together, while also providing lots of privacy thanks to the spaces between the houses and the beautifully designed gardens. Many intimate weddings have already been celebrated here!

Domaine de La Borderie is a beautifully restored, fairy-tale hameau of 6 houses with a shared pool. Many guests return to this beloved spot year after year.

There is a fresh bread roll service in July and August.

The property is simply stunning. We loved the rustic charm of our cabin, and the large shared pool was a great bonus. The kids had so much fun exploring the gardens. It felt like a home away from home!

Charming and cozy, our stay was exactly what we needed. The surrounding nature was beautiful, and we made use of the nearby hiking trails. It was a bit remote, but that added to the appeal for us.
