La Bergerie is the smallest and perhaps most loved house on the fairy-like La Borderie estate. Stay in this romantic cottage that features a unique feel and a blessed location. With plenty of privacy, cosy furnishings and a tucked-away garden, it is ideal for holidays with your partner.

Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil is a municipality in the Dordogne region known as the World Capital of Prehistory. It is located in the heart of the Vézère Valley, which is rich in archaeological sites and caves decorated with prehistoric art. The famous Lascaux cave is a short drive away and Les Eyzies is home to charming streets, traditional houses and several museums dedicated to prehistory. It is also a popular destination for walkers and canoeists due to its picturesque landscapes and the river Vézère which flows through the town.

The holiday home has a private roof terrace where you can start your days relaxing with a cup of coffee. You have access to a communal swimming pool and the chef at heart can prepare delicious dishes in the on-site kitchen or on the barbecue.

The estate is used for hunting on Sundays in the low season.

Location and surroundings of object

La Borderie has a very special ambience, with many surprising nooks and crannies and lush gardens. It is almost like stepping into another time.

The hameau is situated on top of a hill, right in the heart of the Dordogne, and is closely connected to the natural world around it. It is an ideal place for people who love peace and tranquillity.

The estate has 6 accommodations, 4 of which are to let: a country house called "La Fermette" (FR-24620-07) for 8 people with an accompanying "Maison d'Amie" for 2 people, "La Bergerie" (FR-24620-09) for 2 people and "La Chaumiere" (FR-24620-09) for 6 people. The country house also contains a sofa bed for 2 people.

The Dutch couple who manage the estate live on it year round. The owners, who are also Dutch, spend a few weeks in their own house each year.

The estate is ideal for a romantic group holiday or family holiday for 18 to 20 people. It offers plenty of space for spending time together, while also providing lots of privacy thanks to the spaces between the houses and the beautifully designed gardens. Many intimate weddings have already been celebrated here!

Domaine de La Borderie is a beautifully restored, fairy-tale hameau of 6 houses with a shared pool. Many guests return to this beloved spot year after year.

There is a fresh bread roll service in July and August.

We received a warm welcome from the administrators Marjan and Diny. They were also ready for the whole week to make it as pleasant as possible for their guests. The bread service was top! Great to wake up in the morning with a bag of fresh bread at the door of your door! La Bergerie is exactly as it is shown in the description a very cozy and romantic cottage! It is provided with all comfort and on arrival there was The house is located in an oasis of calm, ideal for a relaxing break, but also to cuddle some culture you do not have to drive far. Despite the less beautiful weather we have enjoyed our holiday! The downside we can think of is the 1 km long private road to the domain that was very uneven, with holes and bumps. Not good for the suspension of your car.

We have really enjoyed the peace, the beautiful nature and environment in the Borderie and lovely swimming pool. Also be sure not to forget the kindness of Marjan and Diny. Compliments for the wonderful bakery service every morning and again the questions you could ask throughout the day and evening. The only downside was that a lot of cobwebs were present, but I guess you'll have little to do in a small wooden house as

Spent fantastic week in this cottage. Helped by the beautiful weather, but the quaintness of this cottage exudes everything af.Verwarming with the huge fireplace, which you are warm in April. The other houses were not occupied when we were there, and the rest was also perfect. Cuckoo, owls, deer, the only thing that breaks the silence. Break from the hectic Dutch and / or your busy job you doing here.

A top holiday in Les-Eysiez! A cute cottage with everything you need on holiday. We especially enjoyed the different seating areas in the (private) garden, which we have deliciously enjoyed and have had good wine with pleasure. The large swimming pool is delicious, with different lounge sets where you can really relax. We were well helped by the managers with tips on the surrounding whole people!
