If you want peace, butterflies, birds, a starry sky, and everything present in the house, then la Gardelle is your place in the non-touristy part of the Dordogne.

Private pool? Yes, pls! Super spacious and the garden is a whole mood, Definitely a great spot for a fam or squad getaway, Just a short drive to the river for some fun water sports, 10/10 would recommend

Amazing spot for a getaway! The private pool made our trip unforgettable, I really enjoyed reading by the garden while the kids splashed around, It was also nice to have restaurants nearby, Just a short drive to everything, Clean and well-maintained, we felt right at home

A delightful holiday home! Everything was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, The hosts were very accommodating and made us feel right at home, We particularly enjoyed the barbecue area in the garden

On arrival no one was present to receive us, while we had announced the arrival. The code of the door locker that holds the key was wrong. By chance we were able to enter the house through a door that had accidentally been left open in the basement. The outdoor furniture needs to be replaced. Our frail daughter fell through a wooden chair and injured herself from the wood splinters. The wooden sunbeds are also no longer in good condition. In itself beautiful house with plenty of space. Unfortunately no fans provided when we arrived in very heat. These were bought at our request (4x). For the pool you have to go round, through the front to the back, which is impractical. You then have to get your snacks and drinks there in an awkward (via stairs) way. Beautiful view and tranquility by the pool. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 umbrellas were broken. Got a new one during the week. There is a BBQ under the house, but there are no table and chairs. You then have to drag it yourself. There is no TV, because the owners think that the guests come for the peace and view. I prefer to decide that myself and I like it when there is a TV, especially when there is European Championship football. Now watched TV via laptop and hotspot. Wifi is not unlimited and mediocre (data limit and slow). Bedrooms and bathrooms good, although the socket in the master bedroom is uncovered and life threatening. This has been reported to Marten, but he has not done anything about it. Hopefully repaired after us because of small children. All in all it is a bit outdated and dated and in need of updating. At the moment the price / quality is not right.
