We had an excellent stay in a nice environment, the house is well kept and the owner showed friendly and helpful.

Very very nice house with a good view over the mountains avoisinantes.Passage friendly herds of goats around the house and selling delicious cheeses 1km view. Pleasant climate even in the month of "August, sunshine and little wind down the mountain Our host was absolutely adorable and very friendly: he speaks that!" Spanish is easy to understand but near major highways, we were able easy access to Seville, Cordoba, Granada, in the Sierra Nevada, and yet do "other scenic walks in the villages of the" country. A family of Périgny / Yerres (94)

In the summer of 2018 we also went to Casa la Monja in Villanueva de la Concepcion. We liked it so much that we booked again 4 years later, something we rarely or never do in the same house. Again, the stay has fully met our expectations. For us, this is an optimal holiday experience because of the lovely garden with the large swimming pool, the spotless house with terrace from where you have a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance, not to mention the herds of goats that ring twice a day with their bells. the shepherds are led past the house. Andalusia at its best.

Casa de la Monja is a lovely house with a fantastic pool. Because of its location, cities such as Malaga, Cordoba and Seville easily accessible. But closer is also plenty to do and enjoy. In the garden of the house are numerous fruits that the incredibly friendly Señor Antonio you like a taste.

Two weeks we may stay at Casa de Monja. We greatly enjoyed the view, the house and the pool, it has failed us here for nothing, all well catered for with a charming owner who showed us his grapes, nuts and fresh figs offered that grew at the house. Eco tomatoes and peppers' s layers in a large basket and welcome. We are here wonderfully rested and have only a day trip to Antequera and the Torcal of Antequera, definitely worth it. We will definitely return to this lovely home.

On arrival we have contacted Antonio by phone. Antonia was on the spot within a few minutes. Antonio only speaks Spanish. With some hands and feet work we came out. We were given a tour of the house and Antonio offered us free different products from his garden (tomatoes, aubergines, apples, oranges, nuts). Antonio is a super nice older man, who does everything to make it to your liking.

Nice, typical Spanish farmhouse. Well maintained, rural and quiet and yet close to the "inhabited world". Particularly attractive large private grounds with garden, swimming pool and terraces. We have been received very warmly by the owner Antonio Ruiz who also left wine and vegetables for us. Care of the pool and garden during our stay always in all modesty by him performed.

In July 2021 we had a very nice holiday at Casa de la Monja with our 4 sons (13-19 years). The finca is in a beautiful location with lots of privacy in the small town of La Higuera. We were warmly welcomed by Antonio who proudly showed us around the spotless casa and treated us to a box full of organically grown tomatoes, peppers, onions and plums. The private pool, descending from 80cm to 2m, with sunbeds around it was a pleasant place to cool down. Every day the peace was pleasantly disturbed by the sound of bells and the bleating of a herd of goats that passed our house. We found the walk through the nearby El Torcal mountains very worthwhile. We also visited the Alhambra and Antequera, the largest town in the area. A few times we went out for dinner in Villanueve de la Conception, good food and a very nice atmosphere among the locals for a marginal bill. With his arms above his head, Antonio waved us off after 2 weeks, what remained was a warm memory of an extremely relaxed holiday at Casa de la Monja.

We were greeted warmly (in Spanish). The house was very clean and there was a chest full of fresh peppers, tomatoes and aubergines, a goat cheese and wine waiting for us. The house is completely free and private. Lovely pool and it was kept early in the morning. Super! Furthermore, it is a beautiful environment, wonderful hiking. Fine supermarkets in the village. You do need a car. Antequera is a must to visit! We have enjoyed family with two boys (9 11 years)!

From 20 to 27 October 2007 my wife and I, along with the family of my oldest daughter in the house before. We were there with five people, and we had plenty of room. In the beautiful surroundings we had a great week, and seen a lot in the area. Seville and Granada from the house by car within easy reach. There are nice seating areas around the home to plenty of sun to genieten. In the period of our stay was too cold for the pool, and in the evening it was very nice place near the fireplace. Overall a successful holiday! Fam Nies Waag from Waddinxveen and fam Anceaux from Boskoop.

A fine and beautifully situated cottage on the outskirts of El Torcal nature reserve, from where magnificent views to the Mediterranean Sea. The road from the highway to the house is somewhat laborious to drive in the dark, something we were forced as we are until later in the evening arrived by plane. In the dark, the house was difficult to find and the quality of the road was poor. This adventure was quickly forgotten the next day. As I said the house is beautiful in the mountains with plenty of space around with the neighbors a goat farm. The layout of the house is fairly basic, but adequate, although the kitchen is not very well equipped. There is no closet space, for example food store. But there are worse things to worry about it. All in all we have excellent amused.

The coordinates given in the book lead to the house of the landlord. Friendly welcome, Behind the car dV to the house. (There, tell the Navi, it should determine the location, easily later on. Oh the wonders of technology ... sorry, I'm already 60) The house is just beautiful. Maybe there could be a few more cups, that's the only flaw I can think of.

Hard to find, but all the people were very helpful. A car is a must! It's a little creepy to snach 's to the drive home. But as you know is the way to do it. Try before dark to arrive. The house, pool and garden is very beautiful and calming. In the garden olives, figs, almonds, etc ... trees. "the garden is not fenced but it is safe. We had our dogs, they did not really need to run away. Away The kids come around 4 to 5 pm you with Shepherd, the goat farm across the road, past, very cute! Everything is in the house, an orange press to kitchen towels, cleaning products, toilet paper, washing machine etc ... The owner Antonnio, VERY friendly person who gives you the privacy you need. Also, there are no board games. If you have children that mss pity? BUT IT WAS GREAT! Wonderful experience!

Excellent base for visits to Malaga, Granada and Cordoba, and a day at the beach in Torremolinos. At Seville and Ronda, we are unfortunately not arrived. We did a great hike by the wonderful El Torcal area. Adventure and nature in a walk! The owner, Antonio, was very friendly, spoke only Spanish, but with patience and hand gestures we understood each other anyway. The pool was a little chilly, but we have yet delicious swim in (we are go-getters!) It was a wonderful week and the house I can highly recommend it!

House is high, more than 750 meters. This spring cold for Southern Spain. Location beautiful, for nature lovers and hikers recommended. Not suitable for small children due to the substantial level veschillen and unsecured swimming pool in the garden.

The owner awaited us warmly and pointed to the almond trees and the verveine (tea) that grew for the house. The house is on a beautiful plot of land where more is growing, with a beautiful swimming pool at the bottom of the garden. The house was spacious and everything we needed was present. It's a little cold, but in the warm period, that will be nice. Outside there are tables with chairs in several places. You are looking forward to El Torqual, beautiful. In the pretty town of Antequerra you can visit and you can eat fine.

What a lovely house, nice view, nice pool and very welcoming owner. From the house you look out over the mountain range of El Torcal. The entrance to the parkt is near and is definitely worth a visit. La Casa de Monja is about 1.5 hours from Granada and two hours from Seville. Definitely recommended!

This rural romantic finca is perhaps the most beautiful place in southern Spain where we have ever been. At the foot of the mighty El Torcal Mountains, with gardens all around the house, a lovely swimming pool (with clean, cool water), herds of goats that walk by daily with tinkling bells and their keepers and with griffon vultures circling above the house. The view from the upper terrace of the surrounding hills and valleys is magnificent, especially when the sun sets. Truly beautiful place.
