Landlords live on the top floor and are very friendly. (There is no dishwasher, but hey, it's vacation). The only downside we found that you are not really free was in the bathroom. The outside was used by the residents because we could then use the entrance at the front. And this step was very tightly along the window that was ajar (and pasted, but still), and gave you the feeling that they are not truly free.) Barbel and Edwin give tips and take you even bring to show where is beautiful walking, shopping can do and where you can eat tasty and inexpensive. We had a wonderful stay in this charming apartment in Deesbach! The location is perfect for nature lovers, situated in the Thuringian Forest. We spent our days hiking along the Rennsteig trail, and it was so nice to return in the evenings to a cozy, well-equipped apartment. The garden was a delightful bonus, where we enjoyed a barbecue and relaxed on the loungers. The hosts were incredibly friendly and gave great local tips, making us feel completely at home. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

If you come somewhere for the third time, that says enough. Yes, the kitchen is small, but sufficient.
The small boiler is empty after half a washing-up bowl, but there is a kettle that can fill up just right. The sanitary facilities are fresh and good. The bed is a bit soft for us because we have a really hard mattress at home, but it is certainly not a sagging hole.
And then the Mutschler family: still just as warm and spontaneous.
If we do not come back here for a 4th time, it is not because of the accommodation, but more because this wonderful walking environment is no longer suitable for us (pensioners).

We were welcomed very nicely by our hosts. The apartment is super neat and very well equipped. Extensive information material is available for this hiking region. We also received verbal recommendations as soon as we arrived. We had only booked a short stay. Since we felt very comfortable and the landscape is just too beautiful, we will definitely come back. Of course we try to book this apartment again. The only small minus, there are few restaurants and shops in the village.
