The beautiful forest nearby and peaceful ambience makes this 2-bedroom apartment in Neustadt am Rennsteig great for a holiday. It is perfect for a group or family of 4 to spend a vacation. It offers a pond in teh shared garden to sit by relaxing.
There are numerous hiking and biking trails here to enjoy the mountains, forests, and the valleys. Winters are exciting with cross-country ski trails at 500 m. the ski llift is at 700 m. It is possible to vist many interesting attractions nearby such as Oberhof-Sportstätten, Theme Park Marine Aquarium, the Saalfeld Fairy Grottoes, and the German Toy Museum in Sonneberg. Supermarket and restaurants are at 500 m.
At night, you can make yourself cozy indoors with the central heating in place. There is a warm ambience with the stove in the living room. In the evenings, light up the barbecue and enjoy the mountain air in the furnished garden. 1 pet can stay at 3/night. Safe parking is available for your vehicles.
Public transport is at 500 m.

PRIMA ARRIVAL, LOTS OF INFORMATION IN A SHORT TIME, AFTER A LONG RIDE AND HUGE HEAT WAVE IN WHICH WE ARRIVED BUT WAS QUICKLY RESTRAINED.

It was a great location for a holiday. The only minus point is that the landlord was not present on arrival, not so bad, but make sure you have a good description of what you should pay attention to, for example, the boiler was off and how to turn it on.

It's a nice place to stay. Simple but very clean and everything you need is there.
Despite the freezing temperatures and a lot of snow, everything worked well. Both our children and the dog felt very comfortable. We had no personal contact with the landlords other than on the phone beforehand, but that wasn't necessary. We received an email beforehand with the code for the key box and lots of information.
Since we have relatives nearby, I'm sure we'll come back.

We were a little early on arrival but was not a problem! Neat house, not an ultramodern one, but that expectation is not raised either. Nice rooms, to keep everything cool in warm weather! Friendly owner and a bottle of wine on arrival. Only comment is that the grass in the garden had to be mowed, but that's just to give feedback. We were here with a 9 month old baby.

The location allows for short trips in the immediate area, or by car to larger towns within an hour's drive away. Erfurt and Weimar.Het village is quiet and the area is mooi.Fietsen is not recommended due directly to the high altitude.

We have made an interesting Rennsteig hike, were on Goethe's footsteps (Kickelhahn) looking Easter eggs, am Rennsteig Bahnhof (quaint station pub!), In Ilmenau in Ilmenau - when the heaven was unfortunately gray - but the goats monument is worth seeing, as is the Oberweißbacher mountain railway! For this area you need more than 3 days vacation ... we did it anyway like prima.

We slept wonderfully in the new, clean and huge double bed. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. On arrival there was a delicious assortment of fruit and different drinks ready! The space was very large, a little dated, but also charming. Outdoor space also very nice with plenty of spots and a BBQ and fire pit.
