Anyone driving past will see it at first glance. The Mill has been enthroned in the middle of the field for almost 200 years. "Everyone who drives by here sees it, but hardly anyone thinks that they could spend the night in the mill,"

Guests use a hand-forged key to enter the interior of the unique vacation home and are fascinated at first sight by the historic mill technology that has been preserved over all these years. It almost seems as if time stands still in this magical place. Especially when it gets cold outside and the first autumn storms start to roll in, the mill conveys a feeling of warmth and security.
"Everyone feels welcome here from the very first moment. The millowner converted the mill into a habitable gem in the 1970s with great personal commitment. In the process, the historic mill technology, including the wing cross, the grinder and the gear wheels, was preserved. Today, the thatched mill is listed as a relic of the traditional East Holstein manor culture and enjoys great popularity throughout the area.
The historic building is also a popular location for photographers. With a blooming rapeseed field or a glowing starry sky in the background, the mill is a frequent motif on calendars and postcards. "Once, the mill was even the filming location for an episode of Tatort a popular German detective TV series.
Standing at the top of the hill under the mighty thatched roof, you get the feeling that the mill is embracing you and protecting its inhabitants. The mill is a special place where everyone always comes together, whether during the week or on special occasions like Christmas.

A charming well-preserved mill with comfortable furnishings. Thus one could perfectly off from the daily environment. A mill nothing to be desired lässt.Die cleanliness of the mill could be better. The water supply had rinsed daily and the water filter be cleaned. However, for a slightly technical sighted people this must not be a problem.

An impressive living experience in a beautifully decorated environment with a high aesthetic and artistic standards. If you are looking for a place only for his weary head to bed, it would be here, "casting pearls before swine!" Especially in German realms, where one sometimes animate the weather to linger inhäusigen if not able to even force, this property is a place where one accepts this very happy! We spent much more time in voluntary and at the mill than we would have to do! The owner is very courteous and friendly and also a source of many interesting information, very helpful and completely straightforward. A personal meeting and a visit to his home is highly recommended! The slightly upscale rental goes absolutely fine - it gets a more than adequate equivalent! The mill stands on a beautiful spot between fields and in the middle of a nature reserve. An enjoyable holiday we can hardly think of a nicer place! Lots of privacy and on all sides many views. Husband and son are huge birdwatchers and they enjoy among others the eagles and cranes that flew around the mill. In the immediate vicinity of the mill, it is nice to walk. The mill is situated a few kilometers from the Baltic Sea (about 3 minutes walk). There is a nice beach. Part of the beach is very quiet, and a part of the beach is located in a residence. Here's more commotion and there are also do water activities (among others sailing, windsurfing, pedal boats, etc.). You do need a car to, inter alia, to run errands like, and slightly larger villages / towns certainly not within walking distance. We were 2 adults and 3 children (11, 13 and 14). The middle child loves birds, he has perfectly entertained around the mill. The other two children also liked, but lacked some fun in the yard and in the immediate vicinity where they themselves could walk to. Conclusion great holiday in a great place for people who love peace and nature.

It is a special experience! The mill is very well restored, high quality furnished and decorated with loving details. We immediately felt comfortable and enjoyed the comfort. We were impressed by the old mill technology, which shows how this worked 100 years ago. The large fenced garden is a dream for both dog and man.

There is always something you are not completely satisfied with, so it is not our region, but that is so personal. We prefer to be in the Eifel or the Black Forest, but that mill makes up for it. What an experience that is. We have a great time. We were amazed at how spacious the mill is. There are 4 floors. In the mill a lot of old elements have been preserved and used in the design of the mill. There is so much peace in the area. To the mill a lovely garden with plenty of seating. And so many stars in the night, really beautiful. I can tell you so much about it but you just have to experience this. We only spoke to the owner by telephone. This gave us a nice feeling of mutual trust. If you need the owner for something, it will certainly help you. He is very friendly.
