Not a word of English or Dutch. Handy to know on arrival. Nice things available for the kids. The air hockey was certainly a success. House is in need of a makeover. Everything in the area is a 20min drive. Water, light, and gas calculated afterwards. We had a nice week here.

Friendly welcome with explanation of the house (but in French). There is more than enough cutlery and cooking utensils. It is a good base for walks. Achouffe Brewery at 10 km and LUPULUS at 8 km.Locally 2 walks have been marked out. A little attention on the arrows.Price / quality definitely recommended. Small defects you have to take.

We were present just before 16.00 and had to wait for the owner, was no problem. The house was completely complete, everything but then everything was there.Environment is, especially in November, a bit boring. But with a large group that is not that important.

The cottage was a bit disappointing for us. The photos give a wrong impression (is less well cared for and certain things are not present, such as the nice hammocks). It is more dated than the photos show.
What was disappointing:
- 1 refrigerator had no shelves, they were broken and the new ones had been ordered but not yet arrived.
- The heating works on fuel oil and could not be turned off, so it was very hot in the building, especially the floor in the kitchen. It was a very hot weekend, but we still paid 50 (!) Euros for heating oil. Too bad for the environment.
- Because it was so hot, we would have liked to open the windows, but there were no mosquito nets to use. Consequently, a lot of mosquitoes inside the bedrooms. There was an old curtain over the back door to keep out the bugs. There were insect lamps in the kitchen but they were very dirty and 1 did not work. When we gave the tip to put mosquito nets in the doors and windows, the lady said she did not know this and would look into it.
- In one of the showers the door was broken and it didn't close properly. You noticed here and there that a tile was missing, a wall was not properly finished, a damp spot in the bathroom, the ventilation in the bathroom did not work or did not work properly, so that you had a feeling of pressure.
- The sauna is tiny and didn't work. I read in past reviews that this one didn't work either, so maybe it was never fixed. The owner said it was due to a lightning strike a few days before, but it's strange the rest of the house wasn't affected.

Lovely family holiday. A slightly older house with some minor defects, but certainly big enough. In the kitchen everything is there with certainly sufficient cutlery and crockery. We were on our mtb weekend looking for a spacious house in the vicinity of mountain bike trails. The cottage was at about 8 km from the center of houffalise. The styling of the cabin was a bit strange (rose with gray walls and a lot of old-fashioned ornament), but the house had a practical layout, spacious kitchen and dining room + 2 seating areas. We stayed with a family with small children who could well enjoy in the garden. This is not completely sealed. The street is quiet. We already had a nice time.

Arrival was friendly and welcoming !! the gentleman was very nice and gave a good tour of the house. Is very nice location, especially outside !! The bedrooms were good, clean and good beds. Downstairs in the room were enough tables and chairs, and plenty of items such as plates, cutlery, cups, glasses, etc. that is very nice !! Very nice that there was a dishwasher, washing machine, etc., and everything worked! Maybe 2 points for improvement: The shower rooms were a bit dated, and the kitchen could have a little more counter space with such a large group.
