This accommodation is well equipped for a group stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave and dishwasher, which made meal preparation easy. The location is quiet and being close to the forest was a nice bonus for our morning walks.

However, it is not fully fenced; after the bushes, the dogs can just go onto the street. The general condition of the house is outdated and not well maintained. While showering, water came through the ceiling onto the dining table.

Had two nice weeks in Montleban! Spacious house with all amenities and a fantastic garden, plenty of space for the children to play and a terrace where you can sit for a long time and barbecue! A small downside we found was the underfloor heating in the kitchen; every time the hot tap was used, the heater turned on, so it cools down poorly in the house! Otherwise, had a very pleasant stay and a friendly owner!

It was a very nice place to stay for a long weekend. It was quiet and still. Nice area for walking and inside big enough to eat together and play games in the living room. As other reviews said, the sauna didn't work and you could hear all the footsteps above. We were not bothered by this. Also, the woman who gave us the key only spoke French. But with pointing and looking we managed (she was a very nice woman). Each bedroom had its own sink, which is very nice, and outside, as well as inside, you had plenty of space. Also plenty of kitchen utensils. We really enjoyed it.

Een fijne locatie: ideale ligging, voldoende ruimtes, mooie (speel)tuin. Heel fijn voor een familieweekend. Minpuntje is dat het huis (en vooral de toestellen die er zijn zoals TV, oven, microgolf, douches, ...) al wat ouder is. Niet alles werkte optimaal. De sauna was ook buiten gebruik. Dus zeker vooraf even checken als je dat wel verwacht.

The cottage was a bit disappointing for us. The photos give a wrong impression (is less well cared for and certain things are not present, such as the nice hammocks). It is more dated than the photos show.
What was disappointing:
- 1 refrigerator had no shelves, they were broken and the new ones had been ordered but not yet arrived.
- The heating works on fuel oil and could not be turned off, so it was very hot in the building, especially the floor in the kitchen. It was a very hot weekend, but we still paid 50 (!) Euros for heating oil. Too bad for the environment.
- Because it was so hot, we would have liked to open the windows, but there were no mosquito nets to use. Consequently, a lot of mosquitoes inside the bedrooms. There was an old curtain over the back door to keep out the bugs. There were insect lamps in the kitchen but they were very dirty and 1 did not work. When we gave the tip to put mosquito nets in the doors and windows, the lady said she did not know this and would look into it.
- In one of the showers the door was broken and it didn't close properly. You noticed here and there that a tile was missing, a wall was not properly finished, a damp spot in the bathroom, the ventilation in the bathroom did not work or did not work properly, so that you had a feeling of pressure.
- The sauna is tiny and didn't work. I read in past reviews that this one didn't work either, so maybe it was never fixed. The owner said it was due to a lightning strike a few days before, but it's strange the rest of the house wasn't affected.

What was disappointing:
- 1 refrigerator had no shelves, they were broken and the new ones had been ordered but not yet arrived.
- The heating works on fuel oil and could not be turned off, so it was very hot in the building, especially the floor in the kitchen. It was a very hot weekend, but we still paid 50 (!) Euros for heating oil. Too bad for the environment.
- Because it was so hot, we would have liked to open the windows, but there were no mosquito nets to use. Consequently, a lot of mosquitoes inside the bedrooms. There was an old curtain over the back door to keep out the bugs. There were insect lamps in the kitchen but they were very dirty and 1 did not work. When we gave the tip to put mosquito nets in the doors and windows, the lady said she did not know this and would look into it.
