This very spacious holiday home in Gouvy Ardennes and lies in a forested area at the edge of the village of Montleban. The home has 6 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 16 people. The house comes with a garden, a large terrace and barbeque.
The farmhouse lies in the amidst nature in a quiet location, the forested surroundings are ideal for hiking or biking and only 500 m away from the house, The town centre of Motleban is also 500 m away, restaurants and general supplies can be found 5 km away. There is an artificial ski run 6 km from the holiday home, and a swimming pool to relax 8 km away.
This Ardennes house is more than 250 years old and is built from materials like Ardennes oak, loam and stone, giving it a rustic feel. The holiday home is spaciously built and is perfect for relaxing as it comes with a Finnish sauna. There is also a completely furnished luxurious kitchen and a large dining area.

Sympathetic gite in a beautiful setting, friendly owners. Lots of space (rooms, different sitting areas...)
The extra costs (oil, electricity, water) I found on the high side.

On arrival we found dirty underpants in the shower and medicines in 1 of the rooms. The second day the sauna did not work, it had failed. In the evening the owner came by to fix this, apparently this happened often and according to him it was normal. The morning of departure, showering was not an option, we had no hot water, boiler was off. The owner came in almost daily The morning of departure we were having breakfast at 8.30 am, he also just walked in without any explanation. At the settlement it turned out that we had to pay an overlay of €1700 in electricity consumption. Owner said that This was not possible and that he had written down a wrong initial meter reading, so he started to count and said that we had to pay a deposit of €155 on top of the €600 deposit, then it was all right. , but have not received any proof of payment, we feel a bit cheated with this.

The salon seats are in need of renewal.

Just had a family weekend. The farm itself was very nice but definitely not neat. There was dust everywhere while you have to pay 125 euros for the brush. The house is large and very poorly insulated, so you pay your blue to heating costs that come with it. The price of the water and the waste are also really pulled by his hair. A friendly welcome. We wouldn't do it back.

We had an excellent weekend in this very spacious and charming house Very warm welcome, including for our 5 dogs who also took advantage of the many walks in the area (just a small point to improve at the level of the fence of the garden) A plus for the billiards and the sauna which were greatly appreciated. Little suggestion: for ease / tranquility, we would have preferred that a minimum consumption be already foreseen in advance in the price (even if it means paying a supplement in case overrun) because it's hard to know what to expect. It would also be necessary to add to the list of costs the costs for water which are not mentioned.

Lovely cozy house with lots of space and a large sunny garden. Plenty of seating inside and out. Nice little seating areas on all floors and a huge fireplace. Very suitable for several families.
