mold in the bathroom. there was no toilet paper available. there is a screw sticking out of the floor in the kitchen ± 1.5 cm. kitchen sink was just too dirty. there were 3 corkscrews in the kitchen drawer, * 1 was missing parts * 1 did not work * 1 was fortunately fine there was still food and drink in the refrigerator, some had been opened. mattresses were also not really clean, various yellow stains in them. when we entered, there was a very musty smell in the living room, I would say, SMOKE SMELL. We bought a fragrance in the supermarket the next day, which helped a bit. 2 gas lighters in the kitchen drawer were both empty. 2 kitchen drawers were a mess, to see what was inside. Tea lights in the living room had already burned out, not removed. Tea glasses, as well as various other glasses, had greasy stains on them. WIFI signal did not work, not even when we sent the owner a few messages. Unfortunately, we cannot post any photos here. A part of the cottage was reasonably doable for a repeat, no sorry.

The stove was already on when we entered the house and it smelled nice and fresh! The heater, pump, or reservoir in the basement does indeed make a very loud thumping sound. Kids were scared once. Here and there definitely some points for improvement .. Lighting is not perfect everywhere and the living room could use some mood lighting, now everything is halogen. Tip, take lots of tea lights with you! As for the pans, we (family of 5) can handle them well. Cooking is a challenge for a larger group, as 1 burner (for a large pan) is broken. Dishwasher is good and you can only select a program of more than 3 hours, the rest of the buttons do not work. Indeed, bring a gravy spoon from home and a good potato peeler is also not a luxury. Outside it is fine, did not use the bbq (may be well cleaned or replaced) the 3 kids have made good use of the jeux des boules court, football and the goal! Bathroom downstairs, cannot be used. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Magnificent Villa in Brisy! The space was incredibly spacious and perfect for our group of nine. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation a joy. We especially enjoyed the infrared sauna after a long hiking day in the beautiful Ardennes. The garden was a lovely place for evening barbecues, and the children had a lot of fun in the playroom. The nearby town of Houffalize also had some great dining options that made our stay even more enjoyable.

mold in the bathroom. there was no toilet paper available. there is a screw sticking out of the floor in the kitchen ± 1.5 cm. kitchen sink was just too dirty. there were 3 corkscrews in the kitchen drawer, * 1 was missing parts * 1 did not work * 1 was fortunately fine there was still food and drink in the refrigerator, some had been opened. mattresses were also not really clean, various yellow stains in them. when we entered, there was a very musty smell in the living room, I would say, SMOKE SMELL. House with potential, where the passion is out. The house itself is very spacious and has a lovely quiet rural location. We have had a few nice days here which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner who came by was also very nice and even brought a nice local special beer. Downside was that the holiday was shortened. The municipality went to work on the water pipe for 4 days, so that we would be without water for those days. This had escaped the attention of the owner. Had we known this in advance, we could have moved the holiday to another period. So unfortunately we had to leave earlier and although we got our money back for those days, this still leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. However, inside there are a number of things that need to be replaced / supplemented: - The 3 sofas in the living room all 3 have a broken right armrest - The kettle looked far from clean (we didn't use it either) - The white bed with the bars creaks with every little movement- The Barbecue had so much ash on the ash plate that we didn't even use it. In addition, when making the beds, we came across tissues from one of the previous guests and hung in the conservatory still has several old fly strips. BUT the house is dirty in several places, not really clean. The vacation home could definitely use a makeover. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Magnificent Villa in Brisy! The space was incredibly spacious and perfect for our group of nine. Tip, take lots of tea lights with you! As for the pans, we (family of 5) can handle them well. Cooking is a challenge for a larger group, as 1 burner (for a large pan) is broken.
