The town of Houffalize is less than 10 km away. Its surrounding area is well known to walking or cycling enthusiasts, signposted routes cover 100 km and the panoramic views are splendid. You can also get to La Roche en Ardennes easily to explore one of the region's unmissable tourist towns, and while out and about you can stop in Achouffe to taste the local beer.
The interior is very neat and you'll especially enjoy the bright veranda and its small lounge, as well as the playroom, parking, and a garage for one to two cars in the basement. Boules court, table tennis table, billiards, and table football are all provided for recreational purposes. A high chair and a children's bed can be used for the little ones.

House with potential, where the passion is out. The house itself is very spacious and has a lovely quiet rural location. We have had a few nice days here which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner who came by was also very nice and even brought a nice local special beer. Downside was that the holiday was shortened. The municipality went to work on the water pipe for 4 days, so that we would be without water for those days. This had escaped the attention of the owner. Had we known this in advance, we could have moved the holiday to another period. So unfortunately we had to leave earlier and although we got our money back for those days, this still leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. However, inside there are a number of things that need to be replaced / supplemented: - The 3 sofas in the living room all 3 have a broken right armrest - The kettle looked far from clean (we didn't use it either) - The white bed with the bars creaks with every little movement- The Barbecue had so much ash on the ash plate that we didn't even use it. In addition, when making the beds, we came across tissues from one of the previous guests and hung in the conservatory still has several old fly strips. Finally, there were some stains here and there in various mattresses, pillows and blankets. As the title implies, the passion is somewhat out. Our conclusion is that with a few relatively simple adjustments and some attention, this can again become a wonderful holiday destination where guests can make beautiful memories.

very nice holiday - entertainment in the house certainly in order! The BBQ is very nice, although the possibility of lighting this shelter would have been nice. Spacious house with all the necessary amenities, but a few points of improvement: Only 1 set of keys for the front door and back door. For a large group of people this is little. - (very) annoying smell in the bathroom upstairs - no instructions about waste, ... - windows were open on arrival and the heating in the bedrooms did not seem to work. First night slept very poorly due to the cold.

The cottage is very complete (pool table, table tennis, infrared sauna, petanque, large garden \/ meadow to play football in, weather BBQ area (with shelter). Great for two families or a night visit! What a pity that the crockery was not really clean, this was due to the poorly functioning dishwasher. From day two we have been doing the old-fashioned cozy hand-washing again.

On arrival we did not see the owner a little explanation had been welcome (use stove). We were welcomed with a bottle of Chouffe. The house is very well furnished and especially for families with children very nice because there are many play equipment (pool, table tennis, table football) and a very large garden. Unfortunately it appeared during our stay that there was a lot of overdue maintenance (various lamps were broken or were missing at the dishwasher were missing wheels on the bottom heating drawer in the basement on the sauna does not work cutlery worn etc.). We also didn't like the fact that the curtains in the bedrooms were so light. The sliding door of the porch cannot be opened. The area is wonderful for walking and cycling. The owner was already on the lookout, and had good turn on the heating ... very nice! A truly FANTASTIC house with all the trimmings .... even better than we had imagined, and with us, how cute, gorgeous winter white snow splendor. Our annual weekend could not be better with our children and grandchildren. Grandchildren could romp in the garden while they still could enjoy the cows, horses, and sweet cat who came to the garden. Also in the house they could have fun with all the toys and games that were provided. The house was very neat to the bedding, and provided everything we needed. Many cabinets are falling apart. Pieces from the walls, garden chairs are broken. Dishwasher only washes halfway. Cobwebs everywhere. Refrigerator is half falling apart. Fortunately, the view makes it a bit better and the weather is good.

The stove was already on when we entered the house and it smelled nice and fresh! The heater, pump, or reservoir in the basement does indeed make a very loud thumping sound. Kids were scared once. Here and there definitely some points for improvement .. Lighting is not perfect everywhere and the living room could use some mood lighting, now everything is halogen. Tip, take lots of tea lights with you! As for the pans, we (family of 5) can handle them well. Cooking is a challenge for a larger group, as 1 burner (for a large pan) is broken. Dishwasher is good and you can only select a program of more than 3 hours, the rest of the buttons do not work. Indeed, bring a gravy spoon from home and a good potato peeler is also not a luxury. Outside it is fine, did not use the bbq (may be well cleaned or replaced) the 3 kids have made good use of the jeux des boules court, football and the goal! Bathroom downstairs, cannot be used. There is nothing in front of the window, so the neighbors enjoy it when you are taking a shower :-)Bathroom upstairs is fine, don't understand the comment about the switches and water splashing in another comment. This was not a problem. Recommended: go into the sauna! Beds are reasonable... We had a nice bed dance, but in the end we were able to sleep reasonably well. Home is always best of course. The house is reasonably to good clean! The house is in a quiet area and can relax wonderfully! All in all had a great week!

We were pleasantly surprised that the house was fly-free. The next day we noticed that no maintenance is being done. Both the dryer, dishwasher and carrier rack have had their day. So no privacy - Much overdue maintenance throughout the house, not neatly finished, then looks messy and not fresh, a burner on the hob did not work. - Regularly bad WiFi connection But primary things such as heating, hot water was fine All in all yes enjoyed in a quiet area, beautiful view. Price-quality ok, but quality can certainly be improved!

The house was very well equipped with table tennis, pool table, table football, big garden with foot ball goal, lots of space indoors as well as outdoors. So our teenagers were very happy! The kitchen was also well equipped, although the vegetable knives were not very good. The surroundings were very pleasant with nice country side and a small village. The house was heavily perfumed, which we are unaccustomed to, but would not trouble someone who was used to using fragranced candles, perfume in the washing liquid (pillows and duvets), etc. We found that the curtains were not enough to block out the light in the mornings, so we draped extra linen over the curtain rails.

Nice and quiet house with large garden and a beautiful panoramic view in a beautiful environment. The house is spacious with sufficient living space, spacious kitchen with sufficient crockery and kitchen equipment, spacious bedrooms, several toilets and bathrooms. Great place for a larger group!Present games and games are a pleasant addition to the stay. However, things in and around the house can be refurbished or repaired. The material in the play areas is most worn/broken. More attention should also be paid to the waste in the garden from previous BBQers and smokers. Anyway, some instructions on how to deal with household waste would be welcome. Furthermore, a fly curtain in the door of the kitchen would not be a luxury. Flies in a rural environment are unavoidable, but with a small addition, nuisance from the insects can be reduced. Tip: make sure you have matches or lighter with you if you want to barbecue. This is not present in the house.

Everything went fine. The key was deposited for us, later the landlady came to see us. However, she spoke only French. The departure was unproblematic. The house looks exactly like the pictures. It is big and clean. The small stove is great. The playground equipment was great and everything was complete. There were even Boulekugeln. Also badminton rackets and balls were there, table tennis accessories likewise. There is also a dartboard, but you should bring arrows. Less complete it was in the kitchen There were only 4 (!) Teaspoon. Also knives were not too many, small kitchen knives (paring knives or similar) were missing completely. The cutlery looked pretty mixed up, which would not have to be in such a nice house. Also missing was a pasta strainer and a regular wooden spoon. Unfortunately, despite the many glasses, there were no real beer glasses in a country where there are 0.75 liters of beer bottles. Nice way was exactly one of the landlord ready for us, which we have then just drunk from other glasses - thank you. The house is recommended for family reunions and families with children. The garden is huge and surrounded by countryside. The village is tiny and for shopping you have to go to Houffalize or the neighboring village, where the small grocery store has everything. We (5 adults and 3 children) had a good time in April 2019!

Very nice to arrive in the house there was a cake and a bottle of La Chouffe. Very thoughtful! The house has everything you need, and was very clean and cozy. Very quiet area nice to walk and unwind.

Very nice welcome with a large bottle of Belgian beer and a quiche. The house offers several employment opportunities, which we have used almost all. The living and dining area offers plenty of seating for several people. The mattresses were great. From the kitchen and the conservatory you have a beautiful view of the large garden and the countryside. There was a map of the owner with all information about the house, restaurants, bakers, etc. nearby. Overall we were satisfied and would recommend the house!

Looking back on a great fun holiday in a very nice house. We were welcomed with a hearty cake and a big bottle of beer! The house has a lovely large garden and you do not have to be bored if you are sported. The area is very quiet, but we found that nice. Definitely recommended !!

Wij hadden hier een mooie tijd met vrienden. Veel sport- en spelmogelijkheden en een ruime tuin met weids uitzicht. Een aantal zaken mogen opgewaardeerd worden maar de prijs maakt dat dit geen probleem is. Wij waren niet op zoek naar luxe maar wel naar veel buitenruimte en gezellig samenzijn. Very nice welcome with a large bottle of Belgian beer and a quiche. The house offers several employment opportunities, which we have used almost all. The living and dining area offers plenty of seating for several people. The mattresses were great. From the kitchen and the conservatory you have a beautiful view of the large garden and the countryside. There was a map of the owner with all information about the house, restaurants, bakers, etc. nearby. Overall we were satisfied and would recommend the house!

The Ardennes remain a beautiful area to spend a weekend in. The house has all possible amenities to make the stay a success and is approximately 6 kilometers from Houffalize. We return annually to mountain bike here. It is 300 meters from the house and you are already on one of the many mountain bike routes. The location of the house is beautiful you overlook the rolling hills of the Ardennes.

The house is spacious with sufficient living space, spacious kitchen with sufficient crockery and kitchen equipment, spacious bedrooms, several toilets and bathrooms. Great place for a larger group!Present games and games are a pleasant addition to the stay. However, things in and around the house can be refurbished or repaired. The material in the play areas is most worn/broken. More attention should also be paid to the waste in the garden from previous BBQers and smokers. Anyway, some instructions on how to deal with household waste would be welcome. Furthermore, a fly curtain in the door of the kitchen would not be a luxury. Flies in a rural environment are unavoidable, but with a small addition, nuisance from the insects can be reduced. Tip: make sure you have matches or lighter with you if you want to barbecue. This is not present in the house.

The welcome from the hostess was very warm with homemade cake and gifts under the Christmas tree !! The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped with table tennis, billiards, sauna and fully equipped. The kitchen has everything to cook elaborate. In the house there is plenty of entertainment at any less beautiful weather. The area is perfect for walking, cycling and visiting towns. There are several interesting museums in the area of World War II, especially the war museum in Bastogne is very worthwhile. At the Achouffe brewery tour and tasting is a must. We very much enjoyed our stay!

The house and the location are excellent and it was clean. BUT: there was, for example, no potato peeler, no ladle and barely 2 worn pans for 9 people and the knives were blunt. Some radiators barely worked. Reason: not vented. There was a stench of sewers in the living space. There were cracked glasses and plates. The oven had not been cleaned and there was no glass plate in the microwave. There was no duvet for 1 person on the ground floor. The walk-in shower is certainly not safe, the water from the sprinkler can wet the light switch, cause a short circuit and you can even be electrified. The bbq is dirty and unusable. Sorry Belvilla, let's hope the next stay in June is better.

Our annual weekend could not be better with our children and grandchildren. Grandchildren could romp in the garden while they still could enjoy the cows, horses, and sweet cat who came to the garden. Also in the house they could have fun with all the toys and games that were provided. The house was very neat to the bedding, and provided everything we needed. The stove was already on when we entered the house and it smelled nice and fresh! The heater, pump, or reservoir in the basement does indeed make a very loud thumping sound. Kids were scared once. Here and there definitely some points for improvement .. Lighting is not perfect everywhere and the living room could use some mood lighting, now everything is halogen. Tip, take lots of tea lights with you! As for the pans, we (family of 5) can handle them well. Cooking is a challenge for a larger group, as 1 burner (for a large pan) is broken. Dishwasher is good and you can only select a program of more than 3 hours, the rest of the buttons do not work. Indeed, bring a gravy spoon from home and a good potato peeler is also not a luxury. Outside it is fine, did not use the bbq (may be well cleaned or replaced) the 3 kids have made good use of the jeux des boules court, football and the goal! Bathroom downstairs, cannot be used. There is nothing in front of the window, so the neighbors enjoy it when you are taking a shower :-)Bathroom upstairs is fine, don't understand the comment about the switches and water splashing in another comment. This was not a problem. Recommended: go into the sauna! Beds are reasonable... We had a nice bed dance, but in the end we were able to sleep reasonably well. Home is always best of course. The house is reasonably to good clean! The house is in a quiet area and can relax wonderfully! All in all had a great week!

The surroundings were very pleasant with nice country side and a small village.
The house was heavily perfumed, which we are unaccustomed to, but would not trouble someone who was used to using fragranced candles, perfume in the washing liquid (pillows and duvets), etc.

Everything went fine. The key was deposited for us, later the landlady came to see us. However, she spoke only French. The departure was unproblematic. The house looks exactly like the pictures. It is big and clean. The small stove is great. The playground equipment was great and everything was complete. There were even Boulekugeln. Also badminton rackets and balls were there, table tennis accessories likewise. There is also a dartboard, but you should bring arrows. Less complete it was in the kitchen There were only 4 (!) Teaspoon. Also knives were not too many, small kitchen knives (paring knives or similar) were missing completely. The cutlery looked pretty mixed up, which would not have to be in such a nice house. Also missing was a pasta strainer and a regular wooden spoon. Unfortunately, despite the many glasses, there were no real beer glasses in a country where there are 0.75 liters of beer bottles. Nice way was exactly one of the landlord ready for us, which we have then just drunk from other glasses - thank you. The house is recommended for family reunions and families with children. The garden is huge and surrounded by countryside. The village is tiny and for shopping you have to go to Houffalize or the neighboring village, where the small grocery store has everything. House with potential, where the passion is out. The house itself is very spacious and has a lovely quiet rural location. We have had a few nice days here which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner who came by was also very nice and even brought a nice local special beer. Downside was that the holiday was shortened. The municipality went to work on the water pipe for 4 days, so that we would be without water for those days. This had escaped the attention of the owner. Had we known this in advance, we could have moved the holiday to another period. So unfortunately we had to leave earlier and although we got our money back for those days, this still leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. However, inside there are a number of things that need to be replaced / supplemented: - The 3 sofas in the living room all 3 have a broken right armrest - The kettle looked far from clean (we didn't use it either) - The white bed with the bars creaks with every little movement- The Barbecue had so much ash on the ash plate that we didn't even use it. In addition, when making the beds, we came across tissues from one of the previous guests and hung in the conservatory still has several old fly strips. Finally, there were some stains here and there in various mattresses, pillows and blankets. As the title implies, the passion is somewhat out. Our conclusion is that with a few relatively simple adjustments and some attention, this can again become a wonderful holiday destination where guests can make beautiful memories.

The cleaning was poorly done, we stuck to the floor. The dishes were dirty. The coffee from the previous occupants was still in the garage. There was a lot of utensils in the house, which makes it look messy. The pool table was not set up properly so that the balls always rolled to one side. The walls were also too short against the pool table, so there was not enough space to use a normal stick to hit the balls. Wallpaper had been ripped off the walls, and there was a broken rocking chair camouflaged with a cushion. This was dangerous.

The house is beautiful and rural with a magnificent view to the hills around. Very spacious parking for several cars "The house is really well equipped to guarantee a wonderful stay.We came especially for mountain biking and given its location a few kilometers from Houffalize, this house was less than 100 meters of a route, a great base.We will definitely return here !!

It was the second time we stayed in this villa, and the owner had the key laid out somewhere for us. A few hours later she came to say goodbye and explain something. Very friendly, warm lady and the big bottle of beer and chocolates as a welcome gift were also very nice -) The villa is very nice spacious, with a nice large kitchen and living room, 2 bathrooms, spacious bedrooms and a beautiful large garden with very wide view over the hills! It is also very quiet, which I certainly appreciated!

Everything went fine. The key was deposited for us, later the landlady came to see us. However, she spoke only French. The departure was unproblematic. The house looks exactly like the pictures. It is big and clean. The small stove is great. The playground equipment was great and everything was complete. There were even Boulekugeln. Also badminton rackets and balls were there, table tennis accessories likewise. There is also a dartboard, but you should bring arrows. Less complete it was in the kitchen There were only 4 (!) Teaspoon. Also knives were not too many, small kitchen knives (paring knives or similar) were missing completely. The cutlery looked pretty mixed up, which would not have to be in such a nice house. Also missing was a pasta strainer and a regular wooden spoon. Unfortunately, despite the many glasses, there were no real beer glasses in a country where there are 0.75 liters of beer bottles. Nice way was exactly one of the landlord ready for us, which we have then just drunk from other glasses - thank you. The house is recommended for family reunions and families with children. The garden is huge and surrounded by countryside. The village is tiny and for shopping you have to go to Houffalize or the neighboring village, where the small grocery store has everything. We (5 adults and 3 children) had a good time in April 2019!

On arrival we did not see the owner a little explanation had been welcome (use stove). We were welcomed with a bottle of Chouffe. The house is very well furnished and especially for families with children very nice because there are many play equipment (pool, table tennis, table football) and a very large garden. Unfortunately it appeared during our stay that there was a lot of overdue maintenance (various lamps were broken or were missing at the dishwasher were missing wheels on the bottom heating drawer in the basement on the sauna does not work cutlery worn etc.). We also didn't like the fact that the curtains in the bedrooms were so light. The sliding door of the porch cannot be opened. The area is wonderful for walking and cycling. We also visited the Lupulus brewery. Really nice!

The house was very well equipped with table tennis, pool table, table football, big garden with foot ball goal, lots of space indoors as well as outdoors. So our teenagers were very happy!
The kitchen was also well equipped, although the vegetable knives were not very good.
The surroundings were very pleasant with nice country side and a small village.
The house was heavily perfumed, which we are unaccustomed to, but would not trouble someone who was used to using fragranced candles, perfume in the washing liquid (pillows and duvets), etc.
We found that the curtains were not enough to block out the light in the mornings, so we draped extra linen over the curtain rails.

During our stay we enjoyed nature with activities such as mountain biking, swimming and the climbing forest. Only downside to the house are the curtains in the bedrooms that let in too much light. The Ardennes remain a beautiful area to spend a weekend in. The house has all possible amenities to make the stay a success and is approximately 6 kilometers from Houffalize. We return annually to mountain bike here. It is 300 meters from the house and you are already on one of the many mountain bike routes. The location of the house is beautiful you overlook the rolling hills of the Ardennes.

Warm welcome from the owner and with mouth masks on we started the tour. The house amply meets the standard and has a gigantic garden with a wide view over a rolling landscape. The BBQ under a roof is definitely an advantage. Environment is impressive and offers all possibilities for day trips!

Upon arrival, the hostess immediately came to bicycles, good reception and explanation. What a wonderful house and lots of space, and a very large garden. Very nice area and location. What a pity that the crockery was not really clean, this was due to the poorly functioning dishwasher. From day two we have been doing the old-fashioned cozy hand-washing again.

Separate spacious freezer. Pasture with cows on one side and a horse on the other. Fortunately, no flies indoors due to the screen door. We did miss soup bowls, dessert plates, a paring knife and the dishwasher does not clean properly. The cushions and a few plastic garden chairs are due for renewal. Great beds. The curtains do not let the sun through, so fine. All in all, definitely recommended!

It is a super cozy house and beautiful surroundings. We had a super fun week with 6 young guests and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! But only a few minus points: the oven, freezer (where there was mold and leftovers from the previous hurders), fridge, the garage was a bit dirty but that was not too bad and the bbq is very dirty. There may also be a light in the outside cabin for when it is dark.

The house is spacious with sufficient living space, spacious kitchen with sufficient crockery and kitchen equipment, spacious bedrooms, several toilets and bathrooms. Great place for a larger group!Present games and games are a pleasant addition to the stay. However, things in and around the house can be refurbished or repaired. The material in the play areas is most worn/broken. More attention should also be paid to the waste in the garden from previous BBQers and smokers. Anyway, some instructions on how to deal with household waste would be welcome. Furthermore, a fly curtain in the door of the kitchen would not be a luxury. Flies in a rural environment are unavoidable, but with a small addition, nuisance from the insects can be reduced. Tip: make sure you have matches or lighter with you if you want to barbecue. This is not present in the house.

very nice holiday - entertainment in the house certainly in order! The BBQ is very nice, although the possibility of lighting this shelter would have been nice. Spacious house with all the necessary amenities, but a few points of improvement: Only 1 set of keys for the front door and back door. For a large group of people this is little. - (very) annoying smell in the bathroom upstairs - no instructions about waste, ... - windows were open on arrival and the heating in the bedrooms did not seem to work. The house and the location are excellent and it was clean. BUT: there was, for example, no potato peeler, no ladle and barely 2 worn pans for 9 people and the knives were blunt. Some radiators barely worked. Reason: not vented. There was a stench of sewers in the living space. There were cracked glasses and plates. The oven had not been cleaned and there was no glass plate in the microwave. There was no duvet for 1 person on the ground floor. The walk-in shower is certainly not safe, the water from the sprinkler can wet the light switch, cause a short circuit and you can even be electrified. The bbq is dirty and unusable. Sorry Belvilla, let's hope the next stay in June is better.

Very nice welcome with a large bottle of Belgian beer and a quiche. The house offers several employment opportunities, which we have used almost all. The living and dining area offers plenty of seating for several people. The mattresses were great. From the kitchen and the conservatory you have a beautiful view of the large garden and the countryside. There was a map of the owner with all information about the house, restaurants, bakers, etc. nearby. Overall we were satisfied and would recommend the house!

Fiers family - The whole family had a nice stay! The house is equipped with every comfort and is located in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Great place, large house where we could stay with several adults and children in 4 bedrooms, spacious well-equipped kitchen and large living room. Not forgetting the games room with table football, pool billiards and table tennis. Plus large playing field: grandchildren enjoyed it! User manual house and facilities and with tips about the environment (also shopping) would have been useful. Fortunately, great butcher, several bakers and 2 breweries found. A little further on: Bastogne War Museum and castles Roche en Ardennes and Bourscheid recommended!

Value for money was OK. Everything is getting old. Dishwasher doesn't clean properly Lamp in fridge gets so hot it melts cheese. There is a huge freezer, which was great. Sauna is only 60 degrees warm. Mattresses are read. There are no garbage cans. Lots of flies. Pool table is crooked. Ping pong table was good but the racquets were not. It smells very bad in the basement, but you can ventilate there. If you want to save and are willing to make compromises, you can book here quite well.

The stove was already on when we entered the house and it smelled nice and fresh! The heater, pump, or reservoir in the basement does indeed make a very loud thumping sound. Kids were scared once. Here and there definitely some points for improvement .. Lighting is not perfect everywhere and the living room could use some mood lighting, now everything is halogen. Tip, take lots of tea lights with you! As for the pans, we (family of 5) can handle them well. Cooking is a challenge for a larger group, as 1 burner (for a large pan) is broken. Dishwasher is good and you can only select a program of more than 3 hours, the rest of the buttons do not work. Indeed, bring a gravy spoon from home and a good potato peeler is also not a luxury. Outside it is fine, did not use the bbq (may be well cleaned or replaced) the 3 kids have made good use of the jeux des boules court, football and the goal! Bathroom downstairs, cannot be used. There is nothing in front of the window, so the neighbors enjoy it when you are taking a shower :-)Bathroom upstairs is fine, don't understand the comment about the switches and water splashing in another comment. This was not a problem. Recommended: go into the sauna! Beds are reasonable... We had a nice bed dance, but in the end we were able to sleep reasonably well. Home is always best of course. The house is reasonably to good clean! The house is in a quiet area and can relax wonderfully! All in all had a great week!

House with potential, where the passion is out. The house itself is very spacious and has a lovely quiet rural location. We have had a few nice days here which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner who came by was also very nice and even brought a nice local special beer. Downside was that the holiday was shortened. The municipality went to work on the water pipe for 4 days, so that we would be without water for those days. This had escaped the attention of the owner. Had we known this in advance, we could have moved the holiday to another period. So unfortunately we had to leave earlier and although we got our money back for those days, this still leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. However, inside there are a number of things that need to be replaced / supplemented: - The 3 sofas in the living room all 3 have a broken right armrest - The kettle looked far from clean (we didn't use it either) - The white bed with the bars creaks with every little movement- The Barbecue had so much ash on the ash plate that we didn't even use it. In addition, when making the beds, we came across tissues from one of the previous guests and hung in the conservatory still has several old fly strips. Finally, there were some stains here and there in various mattresses, pillows and blankets. As the title implies, the passion is somewhat out. Our conclusion is that with a few relatively simple adjustments and some attention, this can again become a wonderful holiday destination where guests can make beautiful memories.
