What a lovely house, fantastically situated and very spaciously equipped for both adults and children. You can't think of anything that isn't there. A playground in front of the door, a playroom, a cupboard with games, a large garden with swings and bicycles. And where you have plenty of space to sit and barbecue. The interior is a bit outdated but the house was clean! The only thing that could use an upgrade is the bathroom upstairs and some of the beds.
The landlady is a very sweet, friendly woman.
In short, we had a wonderful family weekend here.

Very large holiday home with a nice garden and a playground of the municipality in front of the door. The house is fully furnished and ideal for large families with young children. There are 2 playrooms and many toys are provided. The garden is not directly attached to the house but is safely accessible for young children. The house has no wifi but we knew that in advance. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the holiday week.

We felt very welcome at Rudi and Angela. The house was perfect for us as a family (kids aged 3 and 1), with two indoor playrooms (with lots of toys, books and puzzles), a fantastic garden with sandpit and trampoline, the shed with bicycles and the like and a playground for the children. door too. From Schoppen we could easily make cycling trips, running and walking. The house was so spacious that we could easily receive visitors. Angela and Rudi were always available if we wanted to know something or just to have a chat. The kitchen is well equipped. We have been there for two full weeks and we have never been bored. A few points to keep in mind: there is a church nearby which makes a lot of noise at 7am and there is at least one rooster nearby; for the garden you have to walk around the house; for shopping you have to drive a few km on beautiful roads and also for a lake; internet is not obvious, there is no (reliable) wifi and little telephone range inside, there were a number of places with reasonable reception inside and outside at the playground that went well too.

Warm reception. Fully furnished, clean, large house, everything has been thought of. Very suitable for families/friends with or without (younger) children. We were there with 6 adults and 1 child of 6 years. Nice big garden. In a small village opposite church, school and public playground, which brings liveliness (but certainly not disturbing) to the village. Beautiful environment. Walking, there are many walking routes, or cycling on, for example, the flat Vennbahn (old railway line about 2 km away) or in the hills (ebike and mountain bike). A number of trails are nearby or run close to the house. Or follow a beautiful car route. Groceries and eating out in eg Butgenbach, which is located on a beautiful lake. Lots to do in the wider area, eg visit the Francorchamps circuit or go to a beautifully situated brewery with beautiful walking routes and where you can also eat something, near the highest point of Belgium. Had a wonderful week. Worth repeating!

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. The house is spacious, with plenty of room, toys for children and equipped. The decor is nostalgic, which certainly has its charm. 6 adults and 4 children we had a lovely weekend. Recommended!

We have just returned from 3 weeks vacation in the Belgian town of Spades. It was a very nice time, nice and quiet, beautiful surroundings, where you have lots of forest trails for hiking, and blueberries and raspberries to look! It was very child friendly, especially the playground opposite the house (separated by a private road with no traffic!), And the school children were very successful. Seen many markets, including in Malmedy, Bütgenbach, and St. Vith. All close, even Luxembourg is just 32 km away. Actually there was only 1 downside, the church opposite the house, and unfortunately that has its own way of ringing, and every day at 6:45, 11:45 until 18:45 the clock reads an extra long, sometimes knocking the times were not .

I have nine friends and friends really enjoyed the weekend in Spades. The house is cozy and has many rooms, the garden is a genius, the neighborhood is quiet, beautiful and has a playground and a basketball and football. Mrs. welcomed us in Dutch, accommodation was clean and cared for, despite the older furnishings and style. The immediate area and all the toys was a feast for the three children who were there.

We have had a fantastic week, providing a spacious house with all conveniences and toys. Welcoming reception. We had brought bikes but did not use them because it is too hilly is.ideaal for children trampoline in the garden, children's home and a school playground to play on.

Our family with 6 adults and 3 small toddlers spent a wonderful week (1st week in May) in this holiday home in Amel. Partly thanks to the beautiful weather where we were able to enjoy a fantastic garden with sheltered spots from the wind and plenty of play equipment for the children to keep you from getting bored. The house is also spacious with enough bedrooms and sanitary facilities for our family. Also in the house plenty of games and play areas. Kitchen design where nothing is missing. We were kindly received on arrival and familiarized with it. Owners live next door and always willing to answer questions should anything happen. You can reach nice trips such as Plopsaland and an indoor paradise within an hour's drive. Fam. van Hassel

Splendor of a house, real value. Quiet location, behind the church, hiding something for the passing traffic. Therefore very stil.Indien we come back next year will certainly be there. What a beautiful and quiet area, with an extremely courteous, friendly, welcoming couple. The accommodation is in terms of price / quality completely prima.In Butgenbach (5 km), the tourist office. Prima geholpen.Er is plenty to see in the area, Monschau, Malmedy within reach, a playground for the door. No noise from traffic, no press, but jovial, top.Wij were 10 people. the oldest 74 and the youngest 48. A must for hikers, bikers, etc.
