This is a quaint 5-bedroom cottage for 10 people in the tranquil Belgian countryside of Kuchelscheid. It's a beautifully remodelled house just 2 km from the German border.
The house is 15 km from the well-known town of Bütgenbach. The town of Monschau is also closeby. The area is great to explore on long walks and bicycle rides. Restaurants and supplies can be found 2 km away.
The house has a garden and a terrace. It is child-friendly and has a children’s bed. You're allowed to bring up to 2 pets with advance notice.

Friendly host nice small café at the end of the street well maintained cottage and very spacious for the prijs.Veel antiques, ceramic vases, jars, figurines and other breakable anywhere in the house, with eight guys so we had to do take our precautions and Vanalles put aside. Butgenbach 15 min rijden.Ideaal for a group of 8 to 10 people who want cheap to the high moors and does not attach much importance to interior.

We had a lovely stay last weekend. We were perfectly placed to visit Cologne and Aachen for their beautiful Christmas markets. The setting was perfect, it even snowed the day we got there making our weekend truly festive. The home was well equipped and spacious. Not modern but that just added to our enjoyment. We came for the third time in the Vennhaus.We could again enjoy the beautiful scenery and tranquility. The house is very well situated for walking and cycling. The Vennbahn (bicycle trail) is ideal for cycling or roller skating and is located 300 meters from the house. The children also have giant amused in and around the huis.De interior of the house is very sober. The maintenance could be better and we regret that dogs are welcome! We're going back next year!

The institutes, we like to add, the homeowner has struck a very nice chat with us, while he himself put the key, and have a cup of coffee all day long, is already a man of age, and we saw in his eyes that he was very pleased with his stories. We have spent a wonderful week in Küchelscheid. There are many possibilities for walks and excursions in the neighborhood. The area is very beautiful, both in Germany and in Belgium. The only thing we really missed was a comfy chair for the entire group (8 people). It is also convenient to take a sharp knife along itself (there is a large amount of cutlery, but not something that you can peel / cut properly). The upstairs is really nice. Keep in mind that you must pass through to the other one room in 2 cases. In short, a good home where we often want to return.

It was a nice holiday with our (adult) children. Nearby nature is beautiful, but there is also plenty to do (especially in the sports field). We walked delicious, cycling etc. The rail bike from Leykoul (with us at the corner of the street) was very fun.The house was pretty big. Down a lot older, but above finely renovated. Beautiful bedrooms, excellent bathrooms and good beds. The furniture downstairs (at least the couch and sitting chairs) is really improvement. It was not really clean down. We own the cobwebs but weggeragd. It is a lovely house to be in a group.

Vennhaus is well located in a corner of the East Cantons. Shopping is within + - 2 km in Kalterherberg Germany. (Small supermarket and bakery) The location of the house is superb. At 300 meters from the High Fens!! Superb for walkers. Cyclists have + - 300 m access Vennbahn. The layout of the house is fine. Upstairs spacious slpks. with 2 comfortable bathrooms. Good beds! Downstairs old but good kitchen and living room, and not least a room where possibly wet walking properly can be hung and things can be stored. Beautiful garden.

For the fourth time in the Vennhaus! Beautifully situated within walking distance of the High Fens. Nearby is a Ravel, ideal for cycling or roller skating! The accommodation is downstairs old-fashioned but in the course of 2019 the owner will make adjustments to the kitchen and the living room! There is a room where you can store or hang all hiking gear if it is wet after a walk! This is very practical ... Above the bedrooms and bathrooms are fine.

Together with the family, we enjoyed a quiet stay in the Vennhaus.Winkel within walking distance (shop) and goodies from the bakery too! About to Monschau surprisingly beautiful and walking near the forest and the old railway very soothing. In the cottage everything and moreover warm with the old thick walls. Formitastisch simply, we have gehad.Lekker cooked a super midweek with 8 adults and relaxed evenings at the cottage. The environment was nice, the rail bike. the rechterlei (a slate quarry in law) the Schinkenräucherei Montenau, strolling the whole day visited in Monschau, beer museum and Mustard Mill, and the chocolate museum in Eupen, next year we go back, there is still vanalles on our list.

Super enjoyed in this spacious apartment. With 8 people wel. Cleaning may be slightly less (eg dust was. Still under the beds, but bathrooms were neat and clean), the space you have makes double well. Tableware is still more than sufficient, and some stuff was you prefer to just off before you use it, but that says more about the users of the cottage. Setting is lovely, plenty to do, we are not there yet bored after a week. The house was very outdated. Photos on the site do not correspond to reality. The boiler had an ignition problem, which we had to solve ourselves, luckily we were handy ourselves. The whole house was covered with cobwebs, mold spots, etc. There was no cleaning at all , hair and dust could be found in and on the cupboards, in the bathrooms the shower doors do not close or fell out, shower head did not hang.In the Night Hall there was only an OSB plate, no cover over it, splinters in your feet were guaranteed. There was only 1 small refrigerator for 10 people and it cooled not yet. We could not use the BBQ, it was rusted. In the kitchen there was a table with 8 chairs while it is a house for 10 people. 1 toilet is on the 2nd day broke, it kept going and it turned out that the float was broken. Wardrobes that fell apart, curtains rails that fell off in the middle of the night. All in all a very bad experience. If it had been cleaned properly then wa we have been very satisfied. And we also know that things can break, but this was really disastrous. 50 euros cleaning costs have to pay, but for what? We strongly advise against this house.

Rurally located. Through the mail, the owner has asked me to pick up the key with him. He would hang the key with him on the doorstep because he could not be present on that day. The next day he would come along with us in the holiday home. Upon arrival we met a large house with front room, back room, kitchen and a large part. On the floor bedrooms and bathrooms, 1 of which have already been renovated What we noticed that cleaning is not taken very seriously. In each room downstairs we have to take the vacuum cleaner to take care of the abundant spider webs and spinning springs. This was on the walls and ceilings. The vacuum cleaner was not able to cure. We have to replace the vacuum cleaner bag (were present). The following day, the owner (Helmut) came along to receive the other costs. We told him we had to vacuum for an hour to remove the spider. He gave us 8 euros discount on the cleaning costs still to be paid. A nice man too. In the front room there was a brown double and three-seat bench that was ripe for the landfill, piece and no longer to sit. When you sat down, you sat on the floor. There are already improvements in the house, bathroom and various doors / windows have been renewed. In addition, everything was present in multiples, such as plates, glasses, cup and cutlery, often not matched or damaged. Nevertheless, the house has its charm and many possibilities. It is a simple but nice house in a beautiful natural environment where you can hike and mountain biking. The ground floor is a bit dated, but that should not spoil the fun. The upper floor has been renovated with nice bathrooms. Cutlery and crockery galore, you'll need to know how to find. Correct tray We were here with 9 adults and have had the giant to our liking. The rail-bike on the track within walking distance of the cottage was a boulder-fun activity to do. Nobody wanted to s-Mondays home, so definitely worth repeating.

Friday was the company of myself \/ wife \/ daughter \/ granddaughter 20m \/ and two large greyhounds and until Sunday, despite the bad weather we enjoyed brisk walks in the park and along the venbaan. on Monday I made an appointment with 3 friends to make a bike midweek, so the occupancy of the house consisted of four men .The weather was perfect (sun), enjoyed the surroundings spacious, immaculate and cycling (+ - 8h per day ) itself pot cooked us what is good better than expected, everything was available for at least 10man (paraphernalia) .Various times small wildlife (foxes) and spotted deer, the property is worth repeating, the tranquil surroundings were strongly geaprecieerd, large lawn to the house was great for the dogs and to bbq village for shopping at 2km we wish the owners success with the further renovation of the kitchen andre keerbergen

Because impaired accommodation (ground floor only) is our holiday ended one day earlier. The kitchen where food should be prepared, was far below par. The cabinets are full of unnecessary (surplus) materials, making private matters had to be put on the ground. Broken oven, refrigerator seal. Loading cutlery overcrowded and broken. All left trinkets, tea, coffee filters, etc. etc. can be better removed. Very distasteful and unsanitary for new tenants. For the fourth time in the Vennhaus! Beautifully situated within walking distance of the High Fens. Nearby is a Ravel, ideal for cycling or roller skating! The accommodation is downstairs old-fashioned but in the course of 2019 the owner will make adjustments to the kitchen and the living room! There is a room where you can store or hang all hiking gear if it is wet after a walk! This is very practical ... Above the bedrooms and bathrooms are fine.

Together with the family, we enjoyed a quiet stay in the Vennhaus.Winkel within walking distance (shop) and goodies from the bakery too! About to Monschau surprisingly beautiful and walking near the forest and the old railway very soothing. In the cottage everything and moreover warm with the old thick walls. We have just returned from a lovely holiday in the "Vennhaus". A spacious and clean house. We have stayed there with six adults, a baby and a large dog. Contrary to what state this is a detached property that you have the garden for you alone on the Bell Villa website. A beautiful garden where we enjoyed. We also had two weeks of full sunshine. The house is well situated in the immediate vicinity of forest and nature reserves. Cycling is not a problem it is located at the Vennbahn a cycle track of 125 km on a former railway line, so no steep slopes.

Together with our dog, a big Doberman we enjoyed the environment, nature and silence. The info center in Butgenbach we bought a hiking and having walked about 13 km daily. The weather gods were with us and our four-legged friend was really in his element. The house is in a small hamlet but fortunately our GPS points throughout the road and also a trip to the picturesque Monchau could not miss. The owner is a likeable man.

In each room downstairs we have to take the vacuum cleaner to take care of the abundant spider webs and spinning springs. This was on the walls and ceilings. The vacuum cleaner was not able to cure. We have to replace the vacuum cleaner bag (were present). The following day, the owner (Helmut) came along to receive the other costs. We told him we had to vacuum for an hour to remove the spider. He gave us 8 euros discount on the cleaning costs still to be paid. A nice man too. In the front room there was a brown double and three-seat bench that was ripe for the landfill, piece and no longer to sit. When you sat down, you sat on the floor. There are already improvements in the house, bathroom and various doors / windows have been renewed. In addition, everything was present in multiples, such as plates, glasses, cup and cutlery, often not matched or damaged. Nevertheless, the house has its charm and many possibilities. We had a lovely stay last weekend. We were perfectly placed to visit Cologne and Aachen for their beautiful Christmas markets. We came for the third time in the Vennhaus.We could again enjoy the beautiful scenery and tranquility. The house is very well situated for walking and cycling. The Vennbahn (bicycle trail) is ideal for cycling or roller skating and is located 300 meters from the house. We have spent a wonderful week in Küchelscheid. There are many possibilities for walks and excursions in the neighborhood. The area is very beautiful, both in Germany and in Belgium. The only thing we really missed was a comfy chair for the entire group (8 people). It is also convenient to take a sharp knife along itself (there is a large amount of cutlery, but not something that you can peel / cut properly). The upstairs is really nice. We had a lovely holiday in Kuchelscheid the upstairs of the house is good. Downstairs is very dated and old oven would not bake bread in s. But the price for the cottage is well and we had great weather, so could sit outside all week. Does have a washing machine, but you should not expect luxury. Butgenbach is the museum Truschbaum on a barracks and free entrance and you get a tour etc. The first village towards Monschau 1.6 km from the house is a good restaurant and the prices are very favorable!

Very nice holiday polite in this Belgian green lung. Kuchelscheid is located in the protected natural park Eifel. We have enjoyed a long weekend in Vennhaus spent with our four adult children and three large dogs. Enough space in and around the house, practical and simply decorated with a lovely garden. Close to nature where we have walked and the kids have made extensive mountain bike tour. Culture lived in the picturesque town of Monschau and other smaller villages, hiked in the High Fens and enjoyed the varied nature. The children are enthusiastic (Alpine) climbers, who one day their skills tested on the rocks at Nideggen while we could make good. A walk there with the dogs A weekend is just too short to do or see, many of the possible activities, we will certainly come back.

Very nice area on the border of Germany and Belgium. Occasionally, some confusion about what language we speak again. We have huge hit with the beautiful autumn weather. The owner is a very friendly and helpful man, he said he now below the lot will replace and refurbish. Our youngest son wanted to continue to live, because it was a villa in his experience. Superb location to explore the villages and towns in the area and many walking and cycling route "s encountered. Because we were seven people and washed away by different people we could sometimes not so good the service again in the right place turn back, because that is more than sufficient. We, a family of eight adult baby / toddler of 20 months and two dogs, had a nice week in the spacious Vennhaus! Quietly situated in the woods in a small village just a short distance to the wonderful bike path and close to the German border. Obviously you have to yourself for fun / entertainment worries but that is always available if you want to see it. Bedrooms and bathrooms fine! Ground floor spacious and well dated but it also has its charm. The two downsides are the tiny sink (especially for a home where you can stay with 11 persons) and the sofa / chairs where you can hardly or off.

The house was very outdated. Photos on the site do not correspond to reality. The boiler had an ignition problem, which we had to solve ourselves, luckily we were handy ourselves. The whole house was covered with cobwebs, mold spots, etc. There was no cleaning at all , hair and dust could be found in and on the cupboards, in the bathrooms the shower doors do not close or fell out, shower head did not hang.In the Night Hall there was only an OSB plate, no cover over it, splinters in your feet were guaranteed. There was only 1 small refrigerator for 10 people and it cooled not yet. We could not use the BBQ, it was rusted. In the kitchen there was a table with 8 chairs while it is a house for 10 people. 1 toilet is on the 2nd day broke, it kept going and it turned out that the float was broken. Wardrobes that fell apart, curtains rails that fell off in the middle of the night. All in all a very bad experience. If it had been cleaned properly then wa we have been very satisfied. And we also know that things can break, but this was really disastrous. 50 euros cleaning costs have to pay, but for what? We strongly advise against this house.

It was a nice holiday with our (adult) children. Nearby nature is beautiful, but there is also plenty to do (especially in the sports field). We walked delicious, cycling etc. The rail bike from Leykoul (with us at the corner of the street) was very fun.The house was pretty big. Down a lot older, but above finely renovated. Beautiful bedrooms, excellent bathrooms and good beds. The furniture downstairs (at least the couch and sitting chairs) is really improvement. It was not really clean down. Stayed weekend in Haus Vennhaus. Composition: Our family, consisting of two adults and two children aged 9 and 11 years, and three adult friends. We chose the house because of the good price / quality ratio and because there were so many separate bedrooms. Because there were two bathrooms offered the house enough privacy. A week with the family in the Vennhaus in Kuchelscheid succes.Een was a big old house exciting. Downstairs completely out of time and you should certainly have no fear of contamination (dirty bit). Lots of stuff. A kind of small utility room with freezer, washing machine and many schgoonmaakspullen. (Or necessary), otherwise a very old-fashioned small living room, small dining room, kitchen very simple, kind of shed with toilet. All full of old cabinets in which all kinds of stuff that left there by the owner. Upper floor or amended. 2 nice sized bedrooms with 2 bathrooms with toilet. Furthermore, some smaller kamers.Heel large private garden with plenty of garden furniture. Garden cushions in pantry / schuur.Prachtige environment. Safe for kinderen.Kortom: stay in the Vennhaus is advisable and also very affordable.

Vennhaus is well located in a corner of the East Cantons. Shopping is within + - 2 km in Kalterherberg Germany. (Small supermarket and bakery) The location of the house is superb. At 300 meters from the High Fens!! Superb for walkers. Cyclists have + - 300 m access Vennbahn. The layout of the house is fine. Upstairs spacious slpks. with 2 comfortable bathrooms. Good beds! Downstairs old but good kitchen and living room, and not least a room where possibly wet walking properly can be hung and things can be stored. Beautiful garden.

For the second time we stayed here for one week. Pleasant surprise was the revamped lounge. Value, the house definitely ok. The only minus is the outdated kitchen, small refrigerator for 10 people. Nevertheless, we think to komen.Zegt back a third time this not enough?

This house is in a beautiful area, from where you opkunt all sides (the Ardennes, the Eiffel Tower, the High Fens) The house itself is old. The upper floor has been restored to a large extent and very tidy (3 bedrooms and shower room) The bathroom and two bedrooms are in 70s style and renovating. The ground floor is old, but nice. The facility is due for renewal! The kitchen is inconvenient: a tiny aanrechtje, which is very difficult when you have to wash a large group (we were 9 men). The layout of the kitchen did not quite work for a large company: no big pots, so cooking was difficult. (Incidentally, there were a lot smaller pans) However convenient that a ceramic hob and a gas stove stood, which could be there. Cooked simultaneously in two places This made it possible to cook anyway. For a large group Around the house is a large garden where you can sit in the sun (there is also plenty of garden furniture) The key address is at 17 km. of the house, the eiegenaar was very friendly and helpful.

Little separate house, with quite a good price / quality verhouding.De upstairs (bedrooms) modern and fresh (only some rooms (nice) showers accessible through other bedrooms ... only the ground floor and she could not be updated! We were there on June 5 and we had good weather is expected to be nice walks maken.We or go hiking in the la Hoegne which is very nice.
