We were well received, the key of the house is two blocks away to pick. On arrival we had beautiful weather which made it was quite busy at the lake. Activities in and around the lake provide so much for the necessary "noise" but I can not call this really disturbing. The second day we had less luck and we had a whole day of rain. We then used the parlor games that were available in the cottage. The cottage is nicely furnished, meaning "ouwbollig", but that has its charms though. My fiance and I have greatly enjoyed the rest of the get away beneath us 2. The day of departure, we will still ask the owner if we could not make last minute overnight \/ was allowed to books, but sadly already rented the chalet .. Whatever I definitely want to mention is the friendly owner! Perfect 3-lingual, very cordial and friendly. We will definitely come back sometime !!!

Apart from the weekend the house is on a very nice and quiet location (people celebrating at the lake). Ideal for swimming, hiking, fishing and lounging. However, the house has seen better days but is not disturbing. Equipment in and around the house is ok. In our view, the biggest downside, the lack Grill is in this spacious property.

Good agreements make regarding the arrival and key administrator (who is not the owner) is very important! The chalet is very spacious and clean with a nice bathroom with lots of storage space. The furniture is dated. In itself not bad except for the two sofa 's. The bugs are camouflaged with grandfoulards and bags completely. Few relaxing comfort in the evening hours. The television is ridiculously small. The furniture need to be replaced, as well as garden cushions which broken and dirty and stinken.De location of the chalet is fantastic, especially for nature lovers. the restaurant in the village of Berg is a must! We'll be back for the beautiful surroundings but in a different location.

The location near the lake is perfect. It allows for walks around the latter and avoid traveling by car "s rendre.Par there against if you seek peace it" s not there that "you have to go in the summer. The property is at the end of cul de sac, next to a "parking lot passing one counts as well as people who put the music loud enough. There is also a beach party every year, the week of July 21, in the field right next to the cottage 21h at 3.30am. 900 people on average. In other words, you do not sleep quietly tonight là.Les in the house are quite correct except the terrace which urgently needs to be repaired. Spare boards and limit junk and nails coming out of the floor. Caution is therefore required for children! There is also a wasp nest underneath the door leading to the terrace. Which is quite dangerous as impossible to leave it open that otherwise "they rentrent.La kitchen is well equipped, the walk-in shower is very nice, and the rooms are quite comfortable.

Upon arrival we were very positively surprised, both about the house and the beautiful view of the lake and the beautiful nature around! From the mentioned defects or downsides of previous reviews no longer appeared to apply. Neat house and wonderfully spacious for our family with three small children. Also cool is that the balcony runs around the corner so you always somewhere in the sun and always can sit somewhere in the shade (eg to eat together). Only minus was during the national holiday of Belgium on July 21 where there is a Beach Party next to the holiday home until three o'clock in the night. Unless you love it and partake of course ...

We had made arrangements in advance about collecting the key with the contact person for the house and this went well. The accommodation was clean, spacious, but dark inside, lots of space around the house and within walking distance of a lake where you can swim or fish (you need a permit for this). You can also walk around the lake, this is about 10 km. The quality of the swimming water was excellent! In the immediate area there is not much else to experience, but with the car you are at a reasonable distance from all kinds of nice places. We were with a family with 4 children (6 to 12 years) who can enjoy themselves in the large garden around the house and on the lake. The interior of the house is somewhat outdated and dated, but everything is there. Dishwasher, washing machine, sufficient comfortable seating areas for everyone, garden furniture, oven, microwave and enough space in the house and the bedrooms. In the weekends there is some noise from music, but otherwise it is very quiet and wonderful to sit outside until late in the evening.

Great place! The chalet has everything to guarantee a good stay. We love to cook and eat and it is very nice if everything (cutlery, pans, crockery, kitchen appliances) is sufficiently available. Unfortunately; no fireplace (the fireplace was closed but unfortunately, thanks to previous guests who had fired the fire too high). But the view from the lovely porch is great in all directions. Everywhere you see Lake Butgenbach; you can pick up the footpath around the lake (10 km) at the end of the driveway! Take a canoe or go across the street where there is a lot to rent (from boats to mountain bikes). Enough to do from a wonderful "home". Lots of birds, nice to follow on the lake, squirrels that sit nearby in the trees and further quietly in the fall! In the summer, probably a different story due to the nearby beach. This house in in a great location right next to the lake. It has a fantastic view from the wrap around terras! It has everything you need to cook some great food to enjoy on the balcony! With a couple of updates this house would be amazing!

Nice location and house. The house is in need of renovation, but is more than equipped for a relaxing holiday. Probably no house is closer to the lake. This means that you are on the water in 2 minutes, but on the other hand also that there is a lot of passage at the house, especially in good weather. In any case, I would definitely like to come back.

Been on mtb weekend. Location is great. House was not clean despite their cleaning costs. Garage was closed so we could not put the bikes away. Hot water was on after 4 normal showers 5th had ice cold water and was hot back only after 2.5h. Expensive with all the extra costs for the comfort they only provide.

Superb chalet, simple but with all modern comfort. Near the lake and the woods. In short, if you are someone who wants to get away from the daily hectic, but also wants to enjoy a terrace or restaurant, this is the ideal base.
