We had an amazing family vacation here! The kids were entertained with games and outdoor play equipment while we relaxed on the terrace after dinner.

We received a warm welcome and a clear explanation about the cottage. We were in a beautiful environment and were able to take a nice walk, thanks to the informative booklets that were available in the cottage. Everything was present in the cottage, only we were woken up very early by the neighbor's rooster... We really enjoyed it, it was a cozy cottage and had everything we needed. Thank you for the lovely time!

It is a very nice accommodation with everything you need. Ideal for a group of 10 people. We lacked nothing. The owners were also very approachable and pleasant. No question was too much for them. Top!

All in all, our experience did not support a pet friendly or peaceful home. I would strongly recommend finding another place that understands dogs’ shed, doesn’t have barking dogs that aggressively run up and down the fence in the adjacent yard, roosters roosting at 3:30 a.m., no gaps under the fence that can be easily escaped, no exposure to a frequently used street. Entering the house there were furballs left behind. Not a big deal for us personally as we understand life with pets and know this was advertised as a pet friendly home. There was a homemade jar of jam there to greet us. The house was mostly carbon neutral which was a plus. Unfortunately, during the shower the bathroom flooded almost into the hallway. After stopping the shower to immediately tend to the flood, covered in soap, I had to rinse off a little at a time to give the water a chance to drain. Because of the situation with the barking dog aligning the property and the chicken wire fence we did not feel safe leaving our dogs free to run. They were leashed the entirety of the trip which was disappointing at best. The greatest disappointment came when we left. We received a text stating there was dog fur on the bed blanket and curtains, and they had to be professionally cleaned. One, the bedding was not used and immediately placed in the closet in the bedroom. Which the owner could verify. Two, bedding was included in the cost of rental so why an issue. Three if this is truly a dog friendly house, expect there to be some fur in places. I stated we didn’t use the blanket and received a photo that at best showed a piece of dust on the blanket. Then we were told the curtains needed professional cleaning. They could not show a photo to support this. Our dogs did nothing more than be dogs and walk to the glass doors, where they were located, to go outside. These curtains in question went down to floor and covered the entirety of the wall of glass and doors, so they could not be avoided. To clarify, they were not dirty, simply fur. All of these were the perfect combination for an anxious experience for our dogs and us.

A large garden with a trampoline welcomed us and a very large terrace with a great dining bench.

Air conditioning ensured pleasant temperatures in the house when the outside temperature was 30 degrees. There are sufficient showers and toilets.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need from a stove to a microwave and 2 refrigerators. So great.

The beds were a bit too narrow for my personal standards. Nice and big for 1 person, but too small for 2. But that's the only point I have to complain about.

Communication with the landlords was always friendly and they even introduced themselves to us.

Questions were always answered as quickly as possible.



The house is located on a quiet street and is still easy to reach.

My highlight was the ice cream man, “mmm delicious”.



We felt very comfortable and would book it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Vrolité. A lovely house with a nice living kitchen that is fully equipped. The children enjoyed the fantastic garden with a trampoline and a large lawn for all the play fun. Additionally, there is also a lovely place to sit in or outside in the sun and enjoy the peace. A wide spacious driveway for all cars, ideal for arrival and departure, but also ideal for parking. We highly recommend a stay here.

A beautiful place to relax! The interior was modern and well-maintained. We spent our days biking in Bocholt and enjoyed fishing in the nearby river. The BBQ grill was very useful for our family meals outdoors. Overall, a great experience with plenty of space for everyone.
