Outside the village of St. Lambrecht, the log cabin with carport is situated in a very quiet location on the edge of the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen nature park. It is accessible by car all year round. You can reach the village centre on foot in less than 20 minutes. Shopping facilities are available in the village. The house is built in a wooden block construction and very comfortably furnished. It has room for 5 persons. It is a non-smoking house. Pets are welcome. Now also with free W-Lan. Hikes can be started directly from the house. The tiled stove and the wood panelling radiate a homely, cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is on the ground floor, as well as a dining area and a TV corner. Also here is the bathroom with shower and following sauna. Three bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Divided into a single, double and twin bedroom. There is a separate toilet upstairs.

Location and surroundings of object
The market town of St. Lambrecht in Styria with its almost 1700 inhabitants is situated at 1,072 metres above sea level in the Murau holiday region. You can reach this area from Germany via Salzburg and the Tauern Autobahn to St. Michael / Lungau, from here via Tamsweg into the Mur valley to Murau, then on to St. Lambrecht. St. Lambrecht is dominated by a 900-year-old Benedictine monastery. Concerts of the monastery take place here regularly. It houses art historical collections and a large ornithological museum. is a neighbouring community to the nature park Grebenzen. The 12 km long circular hiking trail leads past the holiday home, so that you can start directly from the house.

The holiday home is located in the middle of the Grebenzen-Zirbitzkogel nature park. From April to November you can do hiking, running and Nordic walking here. The mountain hiker and mountain biker will find easy to demanding tours in natural surroundings. In the nature park you can swim in the many lakes. Mühlner See, Furtner Weiher, Grasluppteich, Podolerteich and Auerlingsee. A secret tip is the Auerlingsee. You can reach it from the house in a few minutes by car. It lies hidden, romantically in the forest. Carp, pike, trout, zander and perch cavort in the Auerlingsee, which is why it is also very popular with anglers. There are golf courses in Mariahof, Murau-Kreischberg and St. Georgen. Tennis courts are available in St. Lambrecht. More than 150 hiking tours await you in the nature park. There is something for every condition. Whether it's a family hike or a leisurely walk on one of the theme trails or on the Hemma Pilgrims' Path. Why not take a nature park hiking guide who can tell you amazing things about the local plants and animals. Mountain biking or cycling tours can be done with your own or rented bike. Exciting a trip with the steam train from Murau to Tamsweg. The bike is stored in a separate wagon and then it goes back along the well signposted Mur cycle path. Those who prefer to stay in the village can swim their laps in the solar-heated outdoor pool and then enjoy the sun on the well-kept sunbathing lawn with a view of the Benedictine monastery. In winter the fun begins directly on the Grebenzen or in the ski and tobogganing area Tonnerhütte. Curious about "mountain on sledges" Yes, there is something like that at the Tonnerhütte. Here you also have the possibility to rent snowshoes. Ski tourers also get their money's worth. Many of the surrounding peaks can be climbed in winter. Take your skates with you! When it is very cold, the many small lakes quickly freeze over. As soon as the ice is thick enough, the ice surface is opened for skating. Then the curling enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. You can go cross-country skiing on over 30 kilometres of trails around Zeutschach, Mühlen, St. Blasen and St. Lambrecht. The Weirerteich cross-country trail is particularly snow-sure and has a biathlon shooting range. No equipment? You will find everything you need for cross-country skiing right at the entrance to the Weirerteich trail: Cross-country skis, boots and poles, ski wax, the right clothing and a well-assorted cross-country rental shop. Equipped like this, nothing stands in the way of a trial course.

Dear guests, I am your landlady. Actually we wanted a house in Finland, because of the peace, forest and sauna. But the language and also the distance kept us from it.
