Description
The neat property Marema is surrounded by olive groves and located above the fine sandy beach of Peroulia in a nice hillside location. The 3 holiday apartments are next to each other with a separate entrance each. The basement flats below the apartments are used by the landlord family. The estate Marema is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed garden property cultivated with banana plants, citrus trees and plenty of Mediterranean plants and flowers. The lawn in the front garden is for the shared use of all guests.
The corner apartment Marema 1 dates back to 1975 and was renovated in 2024 and equipped with new furniture. The 2 bedrooms and the bath are adjoining to the separate kitchen. From one bedroom you have direct access to the front roofed balcony where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Messenian Bay up to the opposite coast and the Taygetos Mountains. The second bedroom is an entrance and access room. The entrance to the holiday apartment is at the side via approx. 9 steps.
In a separate part of the house there is a washing machine provided for the shared use of all guests.
A small paved way leads 200mtr down the slope to the fine sandy beach of Peroulia.
The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded area around Peroulia. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia. There are also many untouched beaches on the coastline between Koroni and Pylos.

For many years we have been coming here and enjoying the hospitality, the beautiful ambiance, the great view, and the beach that is only a few meters away.

The vacation rental is small but practical. However, one bedroom does not have a wardrobe. Living out of a suitcase for 14 days cannot be relaxing and meaningful. This should definitely be changed. The landlady is extremely nice, helpful, and has many tips for excursions, dining, etc. Missing wardrobe zero stars, landlady 5 stars.

For us, everything was fine, however, I think the accommodation is more suitable for two people. The third bed was right in the entrance area and did not have a door to the adjoining kitchen. The double bed had a really good mattress, getting up was really hard. Otherwise, everything was there that you need and we hardly used it, as eating or drinking out is really great and cheap. However, we had great on-site information. Maria, who welcomed us, even brought us a very delicious casserole with rice-stuffed peppers/tomatoes once. What was also positive was that the sun did not shine directly on the spacious balcony with a view of the sea (June). We hardly used the air conditioning at all. Regarding the booking, I can say that we received an incredibly quick response, even with our last-minute extension. All in all, we were kept well informed about all possible travel information.
