The apartment was super nice and the furnishings were great as well. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything you need. There was a wonderful peace there and at the very nearby private beach, you were mostly all alone. The terrace is very cozy and you can relax very well there. The landlords were very nice and helpful. We would go back there anytime.

A house located in an idyllic setting with a very lovingly furnished holiday apartment. Everything is slightly on a slope, but there is a wonderful view from the apartment's own terrace as well as from the barbecue area over the owner's olive grove to the sea. The path to the beach does lead over an uninhabited property, but it takes less than 5 minutes and you have a true idyll. It is especially great with a small child; you can simply go back and forth without having to pack much into the car. In addition, sun umbrellas and beach chairs are ready. The homeowner makes it easier to feel comfortable with his friendliness (if you like). There is a family atmosphere. It was a wonderful 10 days, and they were certainly not the last we spent here.

It is a very beautiful apartment. Everything is extremely clean and everything imaginable is available (even excellent fly screens!). The access road is somewhat bumpy in parts - but we drove it almost daily with the smallest rental car - right up to the house - and it was no problem at all!! Just be brave - just because we are not used to such access roads does not mean it is impossible... There is perhaps a very small downside for those who seek ABSOLUTE silence - a road runs a little behind the house. You can't see it, but you can hear it easily... All in all, however, it is exceptionally quiet due to the remoteness!! A paradise for those in need of relaxation.

We spent 11 very beautiful days amidst olive trees and pines in a well-maintained and beautifully furnished holiday apartment. The bumpy and steep access road to the property can be navigated without problems even by the smallest rental car. We were warmly welcomed by the landlords, with whom one can converse well in English and who are very respectful, helpful, and not intrusive. We have never had a very beautiful private beach almost all to ourselves, right by the house - dreamy! We also grilled - delicious fish from the harbor 5 km away. A car is a must at the end of September - because on foot, there are no shops or bakeries within reach. The apartment is optimal for 2 people; with four, 2 sleep in the living/dining area.

We are already here for the fourth time in the vacation apartment. It is always nice to stay there. Each time, we discover some new features, like this time a new front door, the air conditioning in the bedroom, or the television (which we don't need). It is nice to see that investments are being made in the ongoing beautification. The location and the view are just breathtaking. There is nothing more beautiful than starting the day with breakfast on the terrace while enjoying the view of the sea and being spoiled by the sun.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The house, recently renovated, was beautiful. We spent hours enjoying the view and witnessed brilliant sunrises. Our private beach was a fantastic spot, with calm seas where our kids spent hours snorkeling. The hospitality of the owner and his family was heartwarming. On the last evening of our stay, he invited us to a pizza party. Our kids made the pizzas in the apartment above, and we all ate them together in the lovely garden. The grandfather even played some music on his harmonica.

We were looking for a peaceful location near the sea and that's exactly what we found. The house is not beachfront, but the beach is private and in most cases you and couple of locals that have houses on the beachfront will be there. The see is calm and clear and you'll have lots of fun with your kids. You can go kayaking to the nearby island and to some smaller beaches on the coast. The apartment is cute and really well equipped so you can stay for longer period. Be prepared for lots of mosquitos as the region is known for this :)

All the best! We were here for three weeks in early May 2014 and enjoyed everything to the fullest. Beautiful apartment decorated with style, secluded, romantic beach, and a cozy terrace to sit, dine, and linger. We really enjoyed the peace and solitude. We had very nice phone and email contact with the landlords, but unfortunately did not meet them in person. Not only did we receive fresh bed linen and towels weekly, but the apartment was also super thoroughly cleaned, something we hadn't experienced in other apartments! The little fox is still around, by the way. He visited us twice in three weeks for a few minutes and a snapshot for the photo album, but then disappeared as quickly as he came. So, there's no need to worry or be afraid. All in all, a great holiday! We almost didn't want to leave... ;-)

Bathroom okay, spacious bedroom. Storage space for luggage, etc. would be desirable. What is missing is an outdoor shower to get rid of the sand after visiting the beach. Path to the private beach 4 minutes, no problem. Beach (sand) always cleaned. Nice owners, very friendly. Access to the house takes getting used to, Greek style. But no problem. Upon arrival, everything is explained and shown to you, including where to find everything (everything you need is available). The apartment itself is very spacious (for 3 people) and tastefully decorated. Excursion destinations can only be visited by car.

At the House Philippos, you will find a detached house located in the middle of greenery with a large plot of land between the villages of Ormos Panagias (from there you can take great boat trips along the Athos Peninsula, limited shopping opportunities) and Vourvourou (a small tourist village with numerous restaurants and shopping options) with a beautiful view of the opposite island of Diaporos. A car is absolutely necessary for shopping, dining out, and visiting the surrounding coves. The access road branching off from the main road (which is easy to overlook) to the house is only roughly paved and quite steep, but even with the smallest rental car category, it was easy to manage. There are parking spaces available on the spacious property. The house has 3 apartments: 2 rental units on the ground floor and one apartment on the upper floor, which is used by the owners. We spent 15 wonderful days in the smaller of the two apartments in the second half of June, which is a perfect size for 2 people. Spacious living and dining area, functional kitchenette, bedroom with 2 sufficiently large single beds and comfortable mattresses, storage space in the closet, and a small bathroom with a shower (photos accurately depict the setup). Fresh towels and bedding were provided weekly. The rooms are each equipped with a ceiling fan, and the living and dining area is additionally equipped with air conditioning, which ensured a pleasant room climate at temperatures of 35°C. Doors and windows are fitted with mosquito screens to keep the otherwise somewhat annoying pests out. Most of the time, we spent on the terrace overlooking the surrounding olive grove and the sea, which invites you to linger and relax. A short walk also leads to a small private bay, which is exclusively used by the guests of Haus Philippos and two other nearby houses. The beach is very clean, and it is only a small number of people using it.

Really very tasteful and also high quality and fully furnished (the best I have seen in Greece so far and I have seen quite a lot). Nice and spacious (for 4 people)! Great view, very relaxing. The large fans everywhere save you from using the air conditioning. Solid mosquito protection (important there). The small beach is also very nice (with natural shade) and clean (and with the rake, everyone can help out). The area is top-notch, especially if you have access to a boat. Many restaurants nearby, as well as a supermarket and bakery just a few minutes' drive away. We really liked Agios Nicolaos. A car is necessary. Not suitable for windsurfing (no wind).

Beautifully situated in the middle of an olive grove, in a closed bay, as an island lies in front of it, very well equipped. Very clean, shower with boiler worked very well. 200m to the almost private beach. A little noise from the road behind can be heard and the access road is difficult to drive on, but it's only 500m. About 3km in both directions, great restaurants, small supermarkets, bakery, and gas station. Owners very friendly and discreet, were only there on weekends. If the beach is not enough for you, there are beautiful beaches on the west side of Sithonia or in the south for every taste. Thessaloniki is about 80 minutes away. Great view from the terrace. A fox also visited us. All in all, great!

The beautiful location with just a few minutes walk to the private beach made our holiday enjoyable - more was not necessary! A cozy spot with shade at any time of day in July and thanks to mosquito nets, a peaceful sleep. Once we learned the trick with the large coffee from Stilianos and Elisa, the evening hours on the beach or on the veranda were also very cozy. A recommendation for families who like to swim and paddle with the in-house canoe, away from the large tourist crowds but still want to experience Greece. The equipment leaves little to be desired (the toaster was only available in the other apartment) - especially the small dishwasher was a hit.

For us, the vacation at the House Philippos in Fteroti was all around successful. We were warmly welcomed by the landlord Stilianos and his wife, and communication in English worked very well. Additionally, there were some documents on-site that allowed us to read all the information again in detail. Everything is exactly as shown in the photos, maybe even a bit more beautiful. I had thought that you would notice more of the other houses in the area, but that was not the case at all. The apartment is lovingly furnished and everything still looks quite new. Cutlery, dishes, bedding, towels, etc. are available in sufficient quantities, and there are even two new sun loungers on the beach that can be exclusively used. The terrace invites you to linger, even if sitting there in the shade in the evenings. In the height of summer, that is certainly very pleasant, but for us, it was sometimes a bit cool. The barbecue area looks great, but we didn't use it because barbecuing is prohibited during the summer months due to the risk of forest fires. That was a shame but understandable. The oven was a good substitute for us, and we used it to prepare delicious fresh fish from the port in Ormos Panagias, right next door (highly recommend it). Overall, you enter an environment that is very charming because it is very original, but you also have to be able to deal with the "inconveniences" like bumpy roads, insects, stray cats, and a little fox. If you don't let that bother you too much, you can have a really great stay.

The approach by car is difficult, steep and narrow path, holes, big stones. Footpath to the ground floor apartment via a fairly steep staircase. Car cannot be parked directly at the house as often in GR. Quiet location, stunning views of the bay and island. 400 m walk to the 200 m long, almost private sandy beach. Crystal clear sea water. Apartment is well equipped. The drains in the sink and shower smell unpleasant. No satellite TV, only 2 large channels. The homeowners (Greeks, also speak English) often live on the 1st floor in summer and are very friendly. Overall recommended holiday apartment for those who are good on foot and love solitude on vacation.

Considering there is enough space, the bathroom is somewhat weirdly organized. The shower is too tight and there isn't a shower handle fixture. You have to hold the shower handle all the time while showering. That is awkward and inconvenient. It needs a washer. For our short stay it was ok, but if we want to stay longer it wouldn't be.

we spent 9 days in Greece just as we love it. The very hospitable landlords played a big part in this. The flat is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. Everything was thought of and we couldn't find any deficiencies. The flat is absolutely perfect for 2 people. There were three of us - that was also very pleasant. In the large property we could move around completely undisturbed. Even in very hot weather you can always find a shady spot. We enjoyed the small "private beach" - if you wanted also under the trees. Chairs and bath mats could be left by the sea, so no daily "carrying" to the beach. The walk through the olive grove was only 2 minutes anyway. For us it was the holiday we like. We felt good all around and would have liked to stay longer. But maybe there will be a "next time". We can highly recommend this accommodation to all those who love holidays in beautiful natural surroundings.

We found a beautiful accommodation with its own beach (150 m). The description of the property corresponds exactly to the facts. We received a very friendly welcome from Philippos, the very nice landlord, and he was always there to help and advise us. In the 2nd week, other members of his family came, all of whom were incredibly friendly. We had a barbecue together and enjoyed Greek hospitality with singing and music. We can only recommend this accommodation and the beautiful area of Sithonia.

Philippos House is a detached house in the middle of the countryside with a large plot of land between the villages of Ormos Panagias (great boat trips along the Athos Peninsula, limited shopping) and Vourvourou (small tourist town, numerous restaurants & shopping facilities) with a beautiful view of the island of Diaporos on the opposite side. A car is essential for shopping, eating out and visiting the surrounding coves. The access road to the house, which branches off from the main road (easy to miss), is only roughly paved and quite steep, but was easy to manage even with the smallest rental car category. Parking is available directly on the spacious property. There are 3 flats in the house: 2 rentals on the ground floor and one flat on the upper floor, which is used by the owners. We spent 15 wonderful days in the 2nd half of June in the smaller of the two apartments, which is a perfect size for 2 people. Spacious living & dining area, functional kitchenette, bedroom with 2 sufficiently large single beds and comfortable mattresses, storage space in the wardrobe and a small bathroom with shower (photos accurately reflect the conditions). Fresh towels & bedding were provided per week. The rooms are each equipped with a ceiling fan, the living & dining area additionally with an air conditioner, which ensured a pleasant room climate at temperatures of 35 C. The rooms are equipped with a balcony. Doors and windows are fitted with mosquito nets, which keep out the otherwise annoying pests. We spent most of our time on the terrace with a view of the surrounding olive grove and the sea, which invites you to linger and relax. We were here for the second time after 2013, from the end of August to mid-September. It was just like last year, very relaxing. The flat is very tastefully furnished. This year we were spoiled by the parents of the landlord one evening with a delicious meal and Greek music. Thank you very much again for that. we will be back. Wolfgang and Ulrike

The house is beautifully situated and you have a good view over the olive trees to the sea or to the opposite island. The flat is very tastefully furnished, well equipped and was very clean. If we had any questions, we could always call the landlord for advice. The check-in is very uncomplicated due to the key safe. Good shopping facilities can be found five minutes away by car in Ormos Panagias: medium-sized supermarket, bakery, fish shop directly at the harbour, etc. The many beaches are very beautiful, but some are unfortunately not open to the public. In the not so warm weather that we had, you can also go on very good hikes. Many of the numerous restaurants in the area were still closed in mid-April. All in all, our holiday week went by much too quickly. The house is highly recommended in any case, the access to the house via the dirt road could be a little less potholed.

Really very tasteful and also high quality and fully furnished (the best I have seen so far in Greece and that was quite a bit). Nice and spacious (4 people)! Great view, very relaxing. The big fans everywhere save on air conditioning. Solid mosquito repellent (is important there). The small beach is also very nice (with natural shade) and clean (and everyone can help with the rake). The area is top anyway, especially if you have access to a boat. Many restaurants nearby, also supermarket and bakery only a few minutes away by car. We liked Agios Nicolaos very much. Car is necessary. Unsuitable for windsurfing (no wind).

The beautiful location with only a few minutes walk to the private beach made the holiday a holiday for us - more would not be necessary! A cosy spot with shade at any time of day in July, and a peaceful sleep thanks to the mosquito net. After we learned from Stilianos and Elisa the trick with the large coffee, the evening hours on the beach or on the veranda were also very cosy. A recommendation for families who like to swim and paddle with the canoe, away from the big tourist crowds, but still want to experience Greece. The equipment leaves hardly anything to be desired (the toaster was only available in the other flat) - especially the small dishwasher was a hit.

Very nicely situated, in the middle of an olive grove, in an enclosed bay, as there is an island in front of it, facilities very good. Very clean, shower with boiler worked very well. 200m to the almost private beach. A little bit you can hear the road behind and the access road is difficult to drive, but it is only 500m.
About 3km to both sides, super good restaurants, small supermarkets, bakery and petrol station.
Landlords very friendly and reserved, were only there on the weekends.
If the beach is not enough for you, there are beautiful beaches for every taste on the west side of Sithonia or in the south.
Thessaloniki is about 80 minutes away.

The property is very nice and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are very good. The outdoor area is well maintained with everything you need. In low season, the property has a little more shade, which is certainly a big advantage in high season. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Access by car is difficult, steep, narrow road, holes, large stones. Footpath to the flat on the ground floor via quite steep stairs. Car cannot be parked directly at the house as is often the case in GR. Quiet location, wonderful view of the bay and the island. 400 m walk to the 200 m long, almost private sandy beach. Crystal clear sea water. Flat is well equipped. The sinks at the sink and in the shower smell unpleasant. No SAT-TV, only 2 major channels. The owners (Greek, speak English) often stay on the first floor in summer and are very friendly. All in all, a recommendable holiday flat for those who are good on foot and love solitude on holiday.

An idyllically situated house with a very lovingly furnished holiday flat. Everything is a bit sloping, but there is a wonderful view from the flat's own terrace but also from the barbecue area over the olive grove of the house owner to the sea. The way to the beach leads over an uninhabited property, but you don't need 5 minutes and you have a real idyll. It's great especially with a small child, you can just walk back and forth and don't have to pack a lot of stuff in the car. There is also a beach umbrella and beach chairs available. The owner makes it even easier to feel at home with his friendliness (if you like it). There is a family atmosphere. It was a wonderful 10 days and it was definitely not the last we spent here.

We were here for three weeks at the end of August. It was fantastic. The senior played us some beautiful songs on the harmonica. A really nice, clean flat in which we lacked nothing. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful private beach. It was very special for us that we didn't have to drive to the beach, but just put on our swimming trunks, a towel over our shoulder and a book in our hand and that was it. We will gladly come back again.
