Fantastic dream holiday home with super nice landlords!

We stayed in this great holiday home for 2 weeks, which really matches the pictures and even exceeds them. We were warmly welcomed and well instructed by Mrs. and Mr. Schauber. We immediately felt comfortable. There were always friendly words, tips, and warmth (you had the feeling you had known each other for a long time).
The location, the view from all rooms, the wellness area, the outdoor area - everything was perfect. The car and bicycles could be stored in a garage. Regarding the equipment of the house, all one can say is that Mrs. Schauber has an eye for every detail. Everything is available, nothing is missing.
You can start hiking or biking right from the house. Shopping options are a 3-minute walk away - bakery, butcher, and EDEKA. Also there is the Italian restaurant Al Castello, which offers good value for money with delicious food. For beer lovers, there is also a brewery in town, but unfortunately the inn was closed due to a holiday.
All in all - it was a very successful vacation with great weather. We will definitely come back and wish the Schauber family many more nice holiday guests.

Fantastic holiday home!

We stayed in the house for 10 days and had wonderful weather in early September 2023. And we can only fully confirm all the statements of the previous reviews. The photos on the website are already wonderful, but they are even surpassed by the real impressions. The Schauber family granted us uncomplicated access to the house and gave us instructions. We were on vacation from the first minute and for the whole ten days. With a heavy heart, we drove back home and we are pretty sure that we would like to come back someday.

Regardless of the house itself, the area offers numerous leisure opportunities, hiking, canoeing, shopping, sightseeing, etc. And the gastronomic options within a radius of 10 km actually leave nothing to be desired.

So there is no other option than to give 5 stars - even though the combination of the house, interior, super nice landlords, the soothing environment, and the magnificent view from the balconies actually deserves more stars.

At this point, we would like to thank the Schauber family once again for allowing us to spend this great vacation in their house.

Dream holiday

My partner and I spent 12 days in the beautiful accommodation of the Schauber family
The holiday home is in a very quiet location, is furnished with attention to detail and offers everything your heart desires.
The landlords are extremely friendly and accommodating. We felt comfortable at all times.
Runding itself invites you to walk, hike and cycle. In Cham, which is about 12 minutes away by car, you will find a beautiful old town, a large selection of restaurants and shopping opportunities
From Runding, it is worth taking a day trip to Prague. It is a two and a half hour drive, but Prague was an unforgettable experience for us!
It rained heavily on two days, but this was not a disadvantage as we were able to enjoy the spa area with sauna, whirlpool and fitness equipment to the full

We would book the accommodation again at any time and are already looking forward to our next stay!

Absolutely ingenious ?

We booked at short notice and were lucky that something was still available exactly in this week. The accommodation is just like the photos: pure luxury! Wellness, nature and very friendly landlords

This holiday flat offers all the conditions for a wonderful holiday.

Facilities: Top! We loved the wellness area. Since we were there with our 3-month-old son, we were able to make great use of the little one's sleeping phases and use the complete wellness programme of sauna, whirlpool and fitness equipment and were still always close by. But also the rest of the flat is not only super equipped, but also beautifully furnished.

Location: hillside location with a beautiful view. There are three terraces in total, so even in spring there is always somewhere to enjoy the sun. In addition, the beautiful castle ruins are right next door. It can be visited for free and is a nice destination for short walks. There are beautiful cycling and hiking paths nearby.

Cleanliness/service: The flat was very clean and well maintained. The landlords were very flexible about arrival and departure times.

Price/performance: We would definitely recommend this flat and would love to come back

Incredibly beautiful

We spent a wonderful week in Runding, in a house that you have to search for a long time to find something so great.
The contact with the friendly landlords was uncomplicated. When we had a small problem with the whirlpool, they were immediately on hand and very eager to resolve it. Thanks again for that. We always enjoyed the view from this house. A great location. The holiday home itself left nothing to be desired and is top equipped. Highly recommended. We hope that we can enjoy this again.

Incredibly beautiful short vacation

It is incredible how perfectly everything fits together here:
the house, the furnishings, the location, the view, the landlords!!!!!!
Even the car has a cozy room!! ;-))
Such a lovingly, comfortably furnished dream house!!! You immediately feel like you are on cloud 7!!!
In the village, there is everything you need: a small supermarket, baker, excellent butcher, and a great brewery (we recommend the wheat beer!!).
Here, you can really let your soul unwind!!!

A wonderful pre-Christmas short break!

Everything is simply perfect here: location, facilities, coziness, hosts, cleanliness..... If it were possible, we would give 6 stars or more. Rarely have we felt so comfortable in a holiday home from the first minute - and we have often had great holiday homes! Yes, we would recommend it, albeit with a little concern; the more people want to vacation here, the less chance we have of being able to come back. But seriously: vacationing here is ideal, you are so quickly in town, at the ruin, have the opportunity to take beautiful walks right from the house, if you can part with the wonderful house... - We will be back very soon!

A great vacation home with great landlords!

The cottage is located at the end of a cul-de-sac below the ruined castle of Runding. The location is very quiet and offers a fantastic view with magnificent sunsets. The house is very clean and well-maintained. It has been tastefully decorated with a lot of love and the amenities leave nothing to be desired. The absolute highlight is the truly beautiful wellness area, which offers pure relaxation. In the village of Runding, you will find everything you need for your daily needs (a small supermarket, butcher, bakery, and various restaurants are available and within walking distance). The couple Schauber is very nice and helpful, as well as always approachable. We stayed in Runding for 14 days, felt completely comfortable and relaxed very well. We will gladly come back! Could it be any better? Probably not...

Madness! The two of us spent two weeks in this house. And it was just fantastic! Everything was exactly as described - or even better! We felt super comfortable and just enjoyed everything. Also the excellent service of the landlord couple. This is what makes a holiday so much fun. We only mention here that the weather was just right and contributed to our good mood, because that is also part of a relaxing holiday. In terms of accommodation, it wouldn't have mattered if the weather had been worse, because you can fully relax and enjoy wellness in its entirety in the house alone. What else can we write - except that we can only recommend every couple to try it for themselves. We will definitely be happy to come back! Once again, THANK YOU to the dear Schaubers for this terrific holiday!

Ein Traum

Everyone is talking about 3G at the moment, we say our vacation was 3x T
Dream house - dream surroundings - dream hosts.
This holiday home is probably one of the best in Germany.
The house is situated on a hillside with a beautiful view.
From here, you can go hiking directly and explore the region by car as well.
The house itself fully lives up to the description and is super modern furnished. The landlords have put a lot of heart and time into the interior and exterior design here. The highlight of the holiday home is the Schauber family as landlords. Two kind-hearted people who were there for us at all times and made our wonderful holiday perfect. We can only recommend this house and the landlords 100%. We didn't miss anything, even the weather was perfect. Many thanks to Bavaria and the Schauber family.

Wonderful luxurious holiday home in top location

We were very lucky to spend our summer holidays in this wonderful house.
The house is simply indescribable! Here you enjoy a fantastic view and can watch the sunset wonderfully. The house is detached in a cul-de-sac directly on the path to the castle ruins. The interior is of very high quality and beautifully decorated. The highlight is of course the wellness area, which is really unique. Here you can exercise well with the fitness equipment and even enjoy the wonderful view on the cross trainer. Afterwards, the sauna or the spacious whirlpool invite you to relax. Even the lighting can be adjusted to create the right mood. The rock garden is also beautifully maintained and you feel at home here as soon as you arrive. You notice at every point how much love and work has gone into the house. Here you get an all-round feel-good package and pure relaxation!
We would like to thank the Schauber family very much for this great stay and the cordial treatment! We were warmly welcomed right from the start and even given farewell presents. Thank you very much!

Dreamy holiday home in a unique location

We spent a very diverse week in a paradisiacal place. The house located at the end of a dead-end street, at the foot of the castle ruins, and the wonderful distant view of Cham and the surrounding area are probably unique and have been accurately described in previous reviews. There are many diverse leisure activities available on-site. The contact with the Schauber couple was very warm. They were always available to us and provided plenty of insider tips. Absolutes Traumferienhaus

This house is truly a dream come true. Everything is just perfect. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Schauber. Then a tour of the house with instructions. Everything was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The wellness area is simply amazing. The terrace offers a fantastic view, which we enjoyed every evening in great weather. We spent a wonderful and unforgettable holiday week here. The surroundings are beautiful and invite you to go hiking. There are also beautiful towns nearby that you should visit. An absolute "top house"

We stayed in this truly wonderful house with top facilities, best location, and a very beautiful panoramic view in June 2021. We were warmly welcomed by accommodating landlords. Traumhaftes Ferienhaus

We spent a fantastic 5 nights in the holiday home in October. The house is well-equipped, there is truly nothing missing, and everything is very clean. The hosts are very nice and attentive, explaining the entire house in detail upon arrival. There are 2 bedrooms, which was perfect for us with 3 people. The kitchen with attached living/dining room is beautifully furnished, providing all the dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and cutlery one could wish for. The couch is super comfortable. There is also plenty of entertainment available, such as a television, DVD player with DVDs, and great lighting throughout the house, including indirect lighting. There are 2 balconies with comfortable seating. The absolute highlight is the wellness area in the "basement", which is actually on the ground floor with a fantastic terrace and beautiful view. There is a small sauna, a spacious hot tub, showers, and comfortable loungers. The lighting here is also beautiful. In addition, there is a small fitness area with various equipment. Towels are plentiful throughout the house. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, it is wonderfully peaceful. On foot, you can reach a small grocery store and the bakery in 5 minutes. Additionally, there is a castle ruin in 3 minutes, which is really worth seeing. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

Amazing vacation, we will definitely come back.

Already during the first phone call with Mrs. Schauber, we felt comfortable and knew we were in the right place ;-)
On the day of arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, and immediately felt at ease. Everything was explained to us in detail (hot tub, sauna, etc.). There were no unanswered questions.
The house and the view from the balcony are almost indescribable, simply beautiful. The furnishings are done with great attention to detail. Everything you need for the perfect vacation is provided, even towels, bathrobes, . . . , everything you need. The landlord has prepared a complete folder with hiking trails for hikes. He also recommended some beautiful routes to us. There is something for every difficulty level. You also get tips and tricks for interesting sights. After an extensive hike, into the sauna and then into the hot tub, what could be more beautiful. Unfortunately, the vacation days, as always, went by much too quickly. But we were able to enjoy our stay, thanks to the great hosts and the absolutely top-notch house.

Many heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Schauber and her husband, we will definitely come back.

Always worth a visit

Since the first phone call with Mrs. Schauber was already very positive and warm, we quickly decided to spend our vacation in this wonderfully located and very well-equipped holiday home in the Bavarian Forest. The handling and the arrival were quite uncomplicated and flexible. Upon arrival at the house, everything was shown to us and there were no more unanswered questions. Everything was furnished appropriately, sauna, whirlpool, and a beautiful view... what more could you want there? Great attention was also paid to ensuring that one could enjoy their stay undisturbed. After the 6 wonderful days, unfortunately, it all ended much too quickly. The farewell was also very warm; we spent some time conversing together before we had to leave again, unfortunately.

All in all, a brief summary:
- The arrival and departure were made very pleasant and uncomplicated
- Top facilities (whirlpool, fitness equipment, sauna, kitchen, etc.) - Beautiful view
- Bakery, pizzeria, butcher, and brewery within walking distance, as well as the castle ruins.
- Really good value for money!

And last but not least, very nice hosts with whom one could have great conversations and who always had good tips for leisure activities.

This house is an absolute dream, everything is truly phenomenal from A to Z! Likewise, the hosts, the Schauber family, are the best landlords one could wish for, always there to help with any questions. The pictures in the listing speak for themselves, there is nothing more to add. Conclusion: a dream vacation in a dream location, with dream-like amenities in the house. We will gladly come back!!!
