To be honest, we liked it so much, we would move in there ;)
I was there for a fortnight with a colleague - unfortunately for work instead of holidays - but we were able to enjoy what little free time we had. The peace and quiet was fantastic, especially for creative work, but it's also perfect for a creative holiday ;)
The accessibility is great: 5 min to the train station, which takes you to the centre of Berlin within 45 - 60 min. Two supermarkets, a village bakery (average), ice cream parlour, doctor and pharmacy are all within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. Likewise, various lakes are between 15 and 30 minutes away by bike; the forest is right on the doorstep. We wanted for nothing. Just remember that the shops and supermarkets are not open as long as in the big city, but with a little advance planning, that's no problem.
