Description
The main house of Chalet Planai is large and spacious with 24 beds and over 550 square meters. The house has living space so that the whole group can enjoy themselves after a good day of skiing in winter or mountain biking / golf / hiking in summer.
The cozy dining area is connected to the extremely practical and large kitchen, where meals for everyone in the house can be easily prepared. Of course, I am also counting on a refrigerator, freezer, and utility room. From the dining area, he went out onto a large wooden terrace facing southwest, and the sun can be enjoyed from morning until late afternoon.
All 11 bedrooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor. All with their own toilets and showers. 9 of the rooms have access to the balcony. 1 room is a family room with 4 beds, the remaining 10 are twin rooms. 2 rooms share a bathroom.
Chalet Planai is built on 4 levels. The main house is located on the top three levels with entrance from the mountain side, and Apartment 1 & 2 on the ground floor, is built into the slope and has its own entrance from the garden side. If you are staying in the main house, you will not notice the apartments on the ground floor and vice versa. With over 550 square meters in the main house, it is ideal for groups or families who want to share the house.
Chalet Planai is located at approx. 1000 meters above sea level and when there is snow, “ski-in” is possible; for “ski-out” you only have to walk about 150 meters uphill. The lift station “Die Damen” is about 1.6 km away. We also recommend bringing snow chains for your car.
The Chalet Planai has a beautiful location at the edge of the forest and is situated right next to the world-famous World Championship slope Herrenstrecke. Here, at approx. At an altitude of 1000 meters, you have a breathtaking view of the Dachstein and the Planai; with its unique location, it connects the entire Schladming ski area.
Over the years, many important ski events have taken place on the Planai, including the Ski World Cup and the well-known Night Slalom.
There are also many opportunities in summer to explore the area and a wide range of leisure activities. The area is perfect for hiking, mountaineering, or mountain biking – the trails for this are right outside the door. In addition, the ski lifts also operate in summer.

Location and surroundings of object
The Chalet Planai is situated in the middle of the 4-mountain ski area Kaibling-Planai-Hochwurzen-Reiteralm and is also part of the large "Ski-amadé" ski area with a total of over 1000 km of slopes.
The skiing areas Flachau and Wagrain are about half an hour's drive away. In summer there are also hiking trails to the lovely town of Schladming right on our doorstep. On foot it takes about 20 minutes to reach the busy city with its beautiful pedestrian zone.
Opportunities for mountain biking are right on the doorstep - there are mountain bike trails across the ski slopes in summer. There are also many mountain routes for cyclists in the area, but you should note that the last part of the road leading to the house is a gravel road.
Those who enjoy golf have access to some of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria: the two 18-hole courses Dachstein Tauern Golf Club and Schloss Pichlarn Golf Club as well as the 10-hole course called Bio-Golfplatz Kobaldhof.
Other activities that can be pursued here include mountain go-karting, Segway, paragliding, ziplining (Flying Fox), rafting, rock climbing or enjoying the panoramic view of the Dachstein Glacier.

7-day Harz friends
We were a group of 19 people. We could comfortably sit together both inside and outside the spacious house. The kitchen was very well equipped, the rooms could use some renovation and the bedding must be cleaned or replaced urgently. As a starting point for hiking, the house has a beautiful location. Price/performance is great for our booked time.

Chalet Planai
We were staying in Chalet Planai one week in New Year 2021. We stayed in an apartment for 10 persons, 2 families with 9 adults altogether.
Everything functioned very well, the apartment was furnished to give priority to staying together all of us - a huge open space area with kitchen, dining area, and sofa section, where we stayed most of the time all of us, eating, playing cards, hanging out etc. Bedrooms for all of us and two very nice and big bathrooms - one for each family :)
The chalet is situated in a great spot. A decent skier can easily walk a very short distance to the piste, running down to the lift station, taking you up to the top of Planai, and also it is easy to take a short drive by car to reach the great Planai area.
Overall the ski area is suitable for skiers of different levels. And you never get tired of the same pistes, as it is easy to reach Hochwurzen and Hauser Keibling nearby. We loved it, and will definitely come back.

Summer Vacation
The living kitchen is well-equipped, the location of the house is away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The price is reasonable. Unfortunately, the property is not well-maintained or modern (cleanliness is lacking, hardly any WiFi, no TV, terrace fireplace broken, washing machine only usable after registering, garbage has to be transported to the valley in your own car). The two vacation apartments in the basement were occupied during our stay, nighttime quiet was virtually nonexistent 3 times a week). That's a shame, because in terms of size and location, it is an ideal property for larger groups.

Unser Haus ist immer mit Personal besetzt, die auch für die Reinigung zuständig sind. Es tut uns leid, wenn es mangelhaft war. Unter Hinweis auf unsere Hausordnung müssen unsere Personal für eventuelle Reparaturen sorgen. innerhalb von 24 Stunden nach der Ankunft vermisst. Hoffen Sie auf keinen Fall, dass sie etwas abgelehnt haben, sonst würden wir gerne mehr hören.
Unser Haus arbeitet grundsätzlich ohne Lärmbelästigung. Die drei Wohnungen und das Haus sind mit Betondecks. Im Sommer kann es natürlich zu Lärmbelästigungen von den Terrassen kommen, daher muss Ruhe herrschen. 23.00. Wird dies nicht beachtet oder ist störend, müssen unsere Personal kontaktiert werden.
Der Außenoffen des Hauses wurde erst im Sommer 2021 gebaut und war daher noch nicht im Mietvertrag enthalten oder erwähnt. Es funktioniert jetzt und schafft viel Gemütlichkeit.
Wie auch in unserem Vertrag erwähnt, gibt es im Haus begrenztes Internet. Wir arbeiten daran und hoffen, dass es verbessert werden kann. Die meisten Menschen kommen jedoch mit der eigene Mobilfunkabdeckung zurecht.
Abfälle müssen tatsächlich transportiert werden, da wir unter der Adresse kein Abholung bekommen können. Restmüll darf nicht bis in die Stadt gefahren werden, sondern per Container ca. 1 km vom Haus entfernt, am Anfang unserer Straße. Metall- und GlassFlaschen und Kartonagen müssen im Tal vor der Tankstelle in Behältern abgegeben werden. Leider können wir das nicht ändern.
Es gibt einen Fernseher im Wohnzimmer im Haupthaus, aber keine Satelliten. Sie müssen ein Signal über Ihren Computer zeichnen.

Very well equipped kitchen, large dining area. The rooms are very sparsely furnished. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The access to the house is somewhat adventurous.
