Description
Our house is located outside the village directly at the over 2000 ha large Eleonora Forest. We offer space for up to 17 people on 210 sqm and two floors and besides the bedrooms and 5 bathrooms there is a large kitchen and two living/dining rooms on the lower floor. The veranda is covered and offers comfortable seating as well as a gas and fire grill. At occupancy of 17 people, 4 of our guests sleep in our cosy camping hut right next to the main house
The camping house can also be rented individually for 2-4 people. So if you arrive with less than 14 people, you share the site with other guests. Please contact us in this regard.
For children we offer the possibility of horseback riding through the forest. We lead our two Icelandic horses by the hand and accompany our little guests on the ponies.
For our riding guests with their own horses, we have enough space in guest boxes with and without run as well as paddocks. For extended rides in the beautiful adjacent forest, there is no need to cross any roads, and in bad weather we rent out our 20x40 m indoor arena.
Optionally you can book a bath and sauna barrel. Here we work together with an external provider.

Location and surroundings of object
You will stay with us directly in the Eleonorenwald, which is over 2000 hectares in size, the largest in the area and not a typical Forstwald, as it is home to a diverse and partly old stock of trees. If you are lucky, you can observe deer, roe deer, rabbits, the little owl as well as various birds and frogs and go on long walks and bike tours in the surrounding area. There are also horses on the farm 50 metres away. It is possible to book guided riding on our two Icelandic horses
Vrees is located in the north-east of Emsland in the Hümmling nature park and offers various excursion destinations such as Clemenswerth Castle, swimming at Lake Erika, a visit to the climbing forest or the Thüle animal park, or you can stroll through the smaller and larger towns in the area and enjoy the culinary offerings.

Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

We live next door, otherwise the house is in a secluded location. There are horses on the farm 50 m away.

Beautiful, very quiet location
We, family of 7, spent two very nice weeks in and around the house
- very nice and uncomplicated landlords
- big, clean house, with everything you need for self-catering
- beautiful grounds, right next to the natural forest
- Peace and quiet and lots of nature
We felt at home right from the start and will definitely come back again!

Horse holiday

Beautiful & deeply relaxed!
We spent 5 nights at Mimameid with 4 adults and 4 children and had a wonderful time!
We had the whole house to ourselves and felt very comfortable. There were plenty of beds for everyone, endless bathrooms and a clear, minimalist decor without any unnecessary knick-knacks - just our taste.
The house had plenty of space to play, so one of the three large dining tables could be quickly converted into a ping pong table.
The landlords are very likeable and always give horse lovers, big and small, the opportunity to cuddle with the horses, plunder the mirabelle tree and simply be!
Outside, there is plenty of space to play or relax, it would be great to have loungers in the future ;)
In the adjacent Eleonorenwald, you can take beautiful walks, observe enchanting light shows and play the game of thief and police wonderfully.
If you are looking for a quiet environment in nature, this is the place to be. The small village itself is also very quiet. For only 4 euros per day, you can rent bicycles in the village and take nice tours in the surrounding area. In hot weather, the reservoir entices with beautiful beaches for swimming.
Both young and old will have a great time here and can enjoy a great time.
We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend it.
