IN TIMES OF CORONA OUR HOLIDAY FLAT IS CLEANED AND DISINFECTED
The flat for 2 persons is located in a well-kept house with 5 flats. A car parking space on the property, just in front on the left on the parking area belongs to it. In the staircase you go down a few steps and enter our garden flat with a spacious and cosy living room with window front and view into the green. A glass door leads to the terrace. In front of it is a meadow, trees, shrubs.
The dining area is in front of the small kitchen, which has everything you need for cooking and baking: a fridge with freezer compartment, also a microwave in addition to cooker and oven. There is also a dishwasher
The bedroom has 1 bed 1.80 x 2.00 m with 2 seven-zone mattresses. The wardrobe is spacious. You can work with your PC on a fold-out table. There is also a small room behind the bedroom for storing your suitcases and bags. There you will also find an ironing board and iron, hoover, detergent and laundry disinfectant, etc. Washing machine and dryer for use during your stay for laundry in between are available in the neighbouring house at an extra charge. Bed linen, towels etc. are included in the rent.
The bathroom has been newly tiled and fitted with new, attractive objects.
On the terrace you are for yourself. You can "shield" yourself well from the neighbouring house. In the storage room at the terrace you will find sun loungers, table and chairs made of certified tropical wood for the terrace and a large parasol.

Location and surroundings of object
The house at Sonnenweg 5 in Todtmoos is located 2.4 km from the centre of the village in the quiet district of Mättle. From here you can set off directly for walks or hikes. If you are sporty, you can get your bread rolls on foot in the morning down in the village. If you don't feel like it, you can use the car or a rented e-bike. You can rent one and it will be delivered. Electricity can be charged for e-cars at a hotel nearby by appointment at short notice. There is no public transport stop on the winding Sonnenweg.
There is a bakery in Todtmoos that delivers fresh bread rolls to the house in the morning. We have put the address, as well as many other important addresses and phone numbers in the living room for our guests. You will find the WLAN address in the cloakroom.

Todtmoos charges a visitor's tax per person (from 16 years) of € 2.30 per night. The application form for the guest card of Todtmoos for you and your companion is prepared on the table of the holiday flat. Advantages: Discounts on tickets for the Todtmoos Museum and events in all seasons, for the Todtmoos open-air swimming pool in summer or free use of public transport. You will receive the guest card at the tourist centre at the end of the Kurpark on the day of your arrival or the following day when you hand in the application form there. The amount is calculated from: 2,30€ x number of nights x number of persons (for 7 nights of 2 guests it is 32,20€). This amount must be deposited in cash for me in the flat on departure. The municipality of Todtmoos then requests the respective amount from me. Unfortunately, it is so complicated! |

Highly recommended
The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Everything was very, very clean and well maintained. Everything that belongs to the household was there. All household appliances were in top condition. You slept like at home in the beds. All rooms were cosy and comfortable, you felt at home.
The location is ideal from our point of view, hiking trails on the doorstep or trips to St. Blasien and Titisee etc. were well connected.
Todtmoos itself is a lovely little town with very friendly shopkeepers.
The Edeka has everything you need for your daily needs. The Metztgerei and the 2 cafes/confectioners are to be recommended.
Many thanks to the landlady, we will be happy to come back.

Ideal holiday home in the Upper Black Forest
The holiday flat is located in a very well-maintained flat house above Todtmoos. It has its own parking space and a generously furnished terrace. Further advantages are the separate bedroom with very comfortable beds and a practical storage room, the also separate small but extensively equipped kitchen (dishwasher!), the presence of a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The flat is exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly clean. In view of the pandemic situation, all conceivable hygiene measures were taken very conscientiously. The handovers were contactless. The hostess is very attentive to all aspects of the rental. Absolutely recommended!

Apartment Todtmoos. In the heart of the Black Forest. Beautiful, sunny location with a view.
Very clean and cozy apartment, very well equipped, leaves no wishes unfulfilled and nice contact with the landlady. We would rent the apartment again at any time because everything was very uncomplicated.

Fabrezan? Todtmoos!
Corona sent its regards. It was supposed to be the charming house in Fabrezan in Langedoc - it became the vacation apartment in the Black Forest. First occupancy. Landlord the same. tasteful furnishings. Impressive machinery (washing, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, dryer). Manageable and well sorted, CDs, movies, books. Helpful: local travel guides, excursion tips: Absolute must: A car. Then everything works - like in Alsace for us (Colmar I&E Isenheim Altar and food), Schaffhausen (waterfall), Laufenburg (the frozen time). Without a car, a hiking paradise awaits 300 meters behind the house. Cows, as clean as after cleaning day. The mighty farms fit into the Märklin landscape, some of them decent inns. Tired or lazy, you can then admire the Black Forest and enjoy the healing climate air on the terrace lounger. It was not our last visit.

Dass von Todtmoos aus so gut die Schweiz, das Elsass und der Breisgau mit Freiburg erreichbar sind, war ein Kriterium bei der Wahl dieses Städtchens, das neben sportlichen Aktivitäten auch Restaurants, Cafes bietet und es hier auch Ärzte und eine Apotheke gibt.

It was only a few years ago that my husband and I started to travel to the south of Germany because we were interested in the three-country corner of Germany, France and Switzerland with their very different cultural histories, e.g. the cities of Freiburg, Basel and Colmar on the one hand and the Black Forest with its great variety of landscapes on the other. Many people are completely unaware of how many sports guests can practise in the southern Black Forest. In summer: mountain biking, cycling, hiking, canoeing at Schluchsee, stand-up paddling, diving, swimming, etc In winter: Cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, hiking, also at night, skiing. All these together were the reasons to buy a flat here, only a few hours away from the Rhine-Main area where we live. We ourselves now belong to the group of people who prefer to just walk and chill.
