Description
The house was built in 1979 as a flat-roofed building with a typical clinker brick facade and was extended in the 1990s. In spring 2020, the entire ground floor including the bathroom and kitchen was renovated. All electrical wiring, supply and waste water pipes were replaced and a gas boiler was added.
From June 2020, the house was again available for rent. You may look forward to underfloor heating throughout the entire ground floor, a newly fitted kitchen with access to the terrace, and a completely redesigned bathroom with double shower and access to the garden.
At the start of the 2022 season, there was a private beach chair at the Langholz beach and an electric car charging station in the driveway.
In spring 2025, a new roof was installed, including new wooden gable cladding made of Nordic spruce. At the same time, a photovoltaic system with 10 kWp was installed.
What has happened since 2018:
In July 2018, we took over the holiday home and extensively renovated and refurbished the attic.
The entrance area was converted into a beautiful hallway, the walls were newly insulated and plastered. The living and dining area was painted and cozily furnished. The attic now shines in a new, bright light. Here, the wood paneling was given a light coat of paint and new sun pleated blinds were installed on the southeast and southwest sides. During the renovation, great importance was attached to using paints, varnishes, and oils of high-quality organic grade.
In autumn 2019, the old wood stove was replaced by a new stove with a connected ventilation system, which can direct warm air to the upper floor.
Good to know:
The house can be walked around completely and the garden offers several sunny spots to linger. The property is completely fenced in and well-grown hedges provide privacy in the already very quiet residential street. The property is very bright, as there are no tall trees.
We ourselves have 2 children aged 8 and 10 and a female Weimaraner and are from Hamburg. Dogs are therefore allowed and welcome upon request.
The entire house offers space for a maximum of 5 people. (Room facing east: 1x double bed 200x220cm, 1x bed 140x200cm, 1x sofa bed / Room facing west: 1x double bed 180x200cm, children's bed 70x160cm)

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home Langholz is located between Eckernförde and Damp (Eckernförde Bay) on the Baltic Sea in Schleswig-Holstein. Here you can recharge! You will enjoy the wonderfully beautiful beach, clear and healthy air, and an intact, scenically attractive hinterland. In just 15 minutes by car you are in the rustic old town center of Eckernförde, and just a short trip by bike or car will take you through the landscape of the Schlei and the beautiful old town of Kappeln. The holiday home is located on a very quiet private road, the beach is about a 5-minute walk away. The beautiful covered south-facing terrace invites you to enjoy an extended breakfast outdoors as early as the morning. A large fenced garden with plenty of lawn and sunbathing areas leaves nothing to be desired for relaxation.
Langholz is a small district with about 70 inhabitants in the municipality of Waabs, directly on the Eckernförde Bay, about 12 km north of Eckernförde. In the village there is the Seeberg riding stable, a great Italian restaurant right on the beach promenade, and at the Camp Langholz campsite located in the village there is the Strandräuber Spelunke, which tempts with live music and delicious snacks. The trademark is the very beautiful and spacious bathing beach, partly supervised by the DLRG, and the dog beach located off to the side. The impressive steep coast invites you to take long walks or hikes.

Free cancellation possible up to 90 days before the arrival date.
The following cancellation policies apply: 100% refund for cancellations up to 90 days before arrival. 50% refund for cancellations up to 30 days before arrival. If there is a lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic at the time of travel, we consider it a matter of course to refund you 100% of the deposit. If the house has already been occupied, we would charge for the days used plus final cleaning, and refund the remainder of the total booking price.

Beautiful house
We were able to spend 14 wonderful days here with our dog! The house lacked nothing! The price is really reasonable for the beautiful house and not overpriced like many other properties. Very nice contact with the landlords! - Location very beautiful and pure nature! Close to the beach with our own beach chair, what more could you want! Garden completely fenced, so very relaxed with the dog and children! Kappeln and Eckernförde about 20 minutes away! Pizzeria at the beach absolutely recommended? We can only recommend this comfortably furnished house!!!

Great holiday house with a large garden and terrace.
We spent a few lovely days in this beautiful holiday home. The house is equipped with everything you need. The garden is beautiful, and our dog also felt "pudelwohl" (a German expression meaning very comfortable). It's only a 5-minute walk to the beach. The entire area is very quiet, without mass tourism. WONDERFUL. Unfortunately, the weather was very changeable and cool, but we made the best of it. And the fireplace made it cozy.

Highly recommended
The holiday home is located in a quiet location, perfect for relaxing. Very nicely decorated and you don't miss anything, everything is new and not worn out. The landlady is easy to reach and very nice for all questions. Great for small dogs, as the property is well fenced. It is not far to the beach and a nice new beach basket is available at the dog beach. I highly recommend the holiday home. It was a great vacation, always happy to come back.

Nettes Ferienhäuschen
Beautiful cottage, great garden, we felt very comfortable, even with our 2 dogs. Very nice family. Great surroundings, ideal for walking with the dogs.
