Description
This detached holiday home is located only 100 m from the fine sandy beach in the penultimate street before the beach, the property is completely and securely fenced.
It has a separate well-equipped kitchen and the fireplace and numerous well-functioning radiators make the house absolutely suitable for winter. The interior is flooded with light due to the numerous floor-to-ceiling patio doors. Two terraces ensure that you can enjoy the sun all day or, if it gets too warm, sit sheltered in the shade. The garden behind the house is virtually hidden from view.
In summer, the external blinds keep the inside nice and cool, while in winter they keep the heat inside.
There are three bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. The bathroom with shower and a separate toilet are also on the ground floor.
A connecting door in the hallway leads through the garage via a (very steep) open wooden staircase to the upper floor, which has laminate flooring. From the window of the "green bedroom" you look across the Lindbergh Dunes to Portbail and can even see the old church tower. Upstairs you will find a small bathroom with sink, mirrored cabinet and a second toilet. The garage itself houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Likewise, you will find some cupboards providing storage space for supplies etc.
All bedrooms have external blinds or, in the attic, a Velux blackout blind inside, which can be operated electrically by remote control from the bed. For your comfort, the house offers SAT-TV with all current German programmes as well as access to the internet (WLAN).

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located in a quiet side street (second to last street before the beach) not far from the large car park that leads to the Lindbergh dunes in the direction of Portbail. There is also the nice beach bar "bac à sable" where you can have a bite to eat.
The next village is the picturesque fishing village of Portbail. There you will also find the next larger supermarket (5 minutes by car). The market there every Tuesday invites you to buy fresh products (especially fish) from the region. Residential area consisting of locals living there as well as old and newer holiday homes.
The wide secluded beach Lindbergh-Plage owes its name to the famous American pilot Charles Lindbergh, who flew over the beach and dunes here on his first Atlantic crossing on the long way from New York to Paris.
Incidentally, Charles Lindbergh was not the first person to fly across the Atlantic, but already the sixty-seventh.
On the other hand, you may feel like the first tourist in this area when you take an early morning walk on the beach. Even in the high season, there are always times when everything seems to belong to you alone.
And if you meet someone anyway: be happy. The mild climate seems to ensure that pleasant manners are also cultivated here. Even strangers still greet each other in a friendly manner.
Lindbergh-Plage belongs to the village of St. Lô D'Ourville, which is only 2 minutes away by car.
Dogs are allowed to run free on the beach outside the high season. In the high season, i.e. July and August, they are not allowed on the beach from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm. Before - i.e. until 9h30 - and after - i.e. from 19h30 - they are allowed on the beach.

Time out by the sea
Wonderfully located holiday home with good facilities. We had the dreamy beach almost to ourselves. From the house you can hear the sound of the sea. The kitchen is very well equipped, the fireplace works well, the bathroom is very clean and modern. The on-site support was very friendly, but only speaks French. Would love to come back!

Wind, sun, sea & shells
We were able to spend wonderful days in this house with our children and dogs. Arrival and departure were completely uncomplicated. The house is in a prime location directly behind the dunes. The furnishings are partly a bit outdated, but everything is there and absolutely clean.
Our favorite spot, when we didn't enjoy the sea, is the little beach bar at the end of the street with its mussels.

Pleasant holiday atmosphere
We spent two wonderful weeks at Lindbergh Plage with our three teenage daughters. We felt very comfortable in the holiday home. The proximity to the sea is great and the beach is incredibly beautiful, just like the dunes! The house has everything you need. The decor is not the newest, but perfectly adequate. However, it would be great for a larger family if the amount of cutlery, especially the knives, could be increased.
Our daughters loved having their own "realm" on the upper floor. The garden offers plenty of space to play and garden furniture plus sun loungers are available.
We would love to come back!!!

Very nice holiday home
We spent a very nice week here with our dog.
The location directly behind the dunes is perfect. There are shopping facilities nearby. The garden is fully fenced.
The house is very well equipped and the reception and departure were very friendly.
There is a very steep staircase from the garage to the upper floor where 2 of the 3 bedrooms are located.
This may be less suitable for families with young children
As our son is already in his teens, this was not a problem.
We would rent the house again and again.

Top location
We have been in the same house with our Waldi 4 times now with 2 people. The facilities are ok. You can do your shopping at Aldi and Lidl within 15 minutes. There are cosy markets in the small towns. The beach and the dunes are the best there is. The service on site is good.
If the owners ever intend to sell the house, I would appreciate an early insider tip.

Very nice house
The house is close to the dunes and you can walk to the sea in 5 minutes. The furnishings are cosy and very clean. There are 2 terraces, one in front and one behind the house. The high walls ensure privacy. Our dogs also felt very comfortable.

Gerne wieder
Zum zweiten Mal nach 5 Jahren haben wir (mit Hund) hier einen erholsamen Urlaub verbracht.
Alles wie gewohnt ok, bei einem kleinen technischen Problem war die freundliche Kontaktperson sofort erreichbar und konnte direkt helfen.
Einziger Mangel war das am Nachbargrundstück gebaut wurde (dürfte aber jetzt fertig sein) da wir viel unterwegs waren war die Beeinträchtigung für uns kein großes Problem.
Falls es uns wieder in die Region verschlägt, kommen wir gerne wieder!

House Laurence Lindbergh Plage
We really enjoyed our holiday in House Laurence and can only recommend it. It is in a great location, only a few metres from the dunes and the beach. The two terraces are perfectly aligned, the new bathroom is very nice, the other furnishings are not quite new, but absolutely sufficient for us. The reception and return were also very friendly.

Gerne wieder Haus Laurence
Wir haben ein für uns perfektes Ferienhaus gefunden. Dünen- und strandnah. Ziemlich windgeschützt, da man den grossen, komplett eingefriedeten Garten sowohl vom Wohnbereich zur Strasse hin als auch direkt von der Küche aus im hinteren Teil voll nutzen kann. Die angrenzende Garage bietet optimal Platz als Abstell- und Vorratsraum. Die Küchenutensilien sind gerade ausreichend, könnten gelegentlich etwas "Auffrischung" zur Vollständigkeit ertragen, ebenso die Gegenstände zur Reinigung wie Staubsauger und Besen.
Die Schlafmöglichkeiten im oberen Stockwerk sind sehr schön, jedoch nur über die relativ schmale Treppe zu erreichen, was für einen grösseren Koffer oder auch Hunde evtl problematisch wird. Der Verwalter war sehr pünktlich zur Stelle und sehr freundlich. Wir fühlten uns rundum willkommen und angekommen und haben die drei Wochen total genossen. Wenn es uns möglich ist, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Da wir selbst schon unzählige Male in diesem Haus Urlaub gemacht haben, wissen wir um die steile Treppe. Mit dem Koffer hoch, ja, dass ist bei der An- und Abreise eine Herausforderung. Das hat uns aber nie "abgeschreckt", da zur Vermeidung auch unten ein Schlafzimmer ist, so dass auch unsere Hunde die Treppe nicht benutzen mussten.

Erholsame Zeit in der Normandie
Die Lage des Hauses ist einfach super. Direkt mit dem Hund in die Dünen bzw. an das Meer gehen zu können ist klasse.
Die umfangreiche Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben, alles ist vorhanden und vieles mehr…. vom Kaminholz bis Klammern :-)))
Wir waren zu viert mit Hund und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Das Rauschen der Wellen streichelt die Seele. Die Spaziergänge am Meer und den Dünen entspannen.
Geschäfte sind in der Nähe (der Bäcker in Portbail ist sehr empfehlenswert).
Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, so wie die gesamte Kommunikation mit VerwalterInnen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Tage in der Normandie
Die Lage mit der unmittelbaren Nähe zum Meer war einfach genial. Die täglichen Spaziergänge am unendlich wirkenden Sandstrand mit unserem Hund lassen uns den Urlaub so schnell nicht vergessen. Zudem das Wetter die ganzen 2 Wochen optimal war.
Das Haus war in einem sauberen und auch optisch sehr guten Zustand. Die Ausstattung war ebenfalls wie beschrieben, WLAN, Fernseher, die elektrischen Geräte, alles funktionierte einwandfrei. Die Küche war komplett eingerichtet, das Bad sehr geräumig und modern.
Die Außenanlage war gepflegt und vor allem die beiden Terrassen, nach Osten und Westen ausgerichtet, konnten je nach Bedarf mit oder ohne Sonne genutzt werden. Unser Hund konnte sich durch die stabile Umzäunung frei bewegen und die Spaziergänger begrüßen.
Durch die Nähe zum Meer konnte man in der ruhigen Seitenstraße das Rauschen des Atlantiks Tag und Nacht wahrnehmen. Das war Balsam für die Seele.

Oase der Ruhe in Strandnähe
Das Haus und dessen Lage im Ort bzw. auf dem Cotentin ist ideal für Menschen, die ihren Urlaub nicht mit dem Auto "verfahren" wollen: Strand und Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen nicht weit auseinander.
Zudem kommt man hier zu seiner wohlverdienten Ruhe, fernab der Heimat. Obwohl im Sommer die Franzosen "zuhauf" gerne auch hier ihre Ferien verbringen, bekommt man davon recht wenig mit.
Es herrscht scheinbar unendlich viel Platz in dieser Region Frankreichs.

Alles gut.
Sehr schönes Haus, mit einer sehr guten Raumaufteilung. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es war für uns (2 Personen mit Hund) optimal. Wir würden das Haus auf jeden Fall nochmal mieten und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Toller Urlaub mit Hunden
Wir waren in diesem Jahr zum zweiten Mal mit unseren beiden Hunden in diesem Haus und haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung im Haus kann ich auch für diesen Urlaub wieder mehr als perfekt hervorheben: es ist wirklich alles in der Küche da, um sich selbst zu verpflegen. Es gibt Wolldecken, falls es zu kalt wird. Für die Terrassen vor und hinter dem Haus, waren Gartenstühle, Tische und sogar Liegen vorhanden. Ich konnte unsere Wäsche mit Waschmaschine und Trockner waschen. Das Badezimmer war neu renoviert und modern mit einer großen Dusche.
Der Strand ist zu Fuß 5 Minuten entfernt. Zum Supermarkt, dem Hafen und dem Ortskern mit einer tollten Bäckerei ist es auch nicht weit.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen.

Great house, super location, very nice service
We stayed at House Laurence for the first time in June. The house is perfectly equipped, especially the kitchen. There was nothing missing. It was great for our two dogs that the property is completely fenced in, so we could let them run free.
The terraces in front and behind the house are also perfect, so we could always sit in the sun.
The location couldn't be better, you can walk to the beach in a few minutes. We could still let our dogs run on the beach without a leash in June. That was great
Both the agency of the house and the reception there were very friendly and helpful.
We would come back again and again.

Great vacation home!
For a month, we (a couple aged 60 and 65) were able to enjoy this wonderful holiday home. The location is perfect, quiet and close to the beach and dunes. A well-enclosed garden, perfect for our 2 dogs. A nice kitchen, with all desired equipment and a door opening to the garden, a lovely living room with a spacious dining table, a comfortable sofa, and a fireplace that we lit every evening. Since we were only 2 people, we slept in the downstairs bedroom where the mattress was great, an important aspect for us as we have experienced otherwise in the past. Although the weather was very changeable with a lot of rain and storms, we enjoyed our 4-week holiday. Every day with the dogs on the beach, long walks through the dunes, it was a joy. We are already looking forward to next year as we will definitely come back.

Tolles Haus, toller Urlaub!
Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen bei herrlichstem Wetter hier verbracht. Das Ferienhaus hat uns bestens gefallen! Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Betten und Sitzmöbel sind bequem und komfortabel. Wir konnten morgens auf der Terrasse hinter dem Haus die Morgensonne genießen und abends auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus das Meer rauschen hören und den Sonnenuntergang erleben. Unsere Hunde konnten sich frei auf dem Grundstück bewegen. Insgesamt haben wir uns rundum in allem ausgesprochen gut versorgt gefühlt! Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Es hat Charme und Charakter! Wir würden jederzeit gern wiederkommen!

Perfekt!
Wieder einmal durften wir wunderschöne Tage in der traumhaften Normandie verbringen. Das erste Mal in diesem sehr gut ausgestatteten Haus. Es hat wirklich alles gestimmt. Die sehr freundliche Begrüssung und Einweisung mit ausführlichem Rundgang im durch das Haus (nochmals ein grosses Dankeschön an Nathalie!) inkl. einem kleinen Begrüssungsgeschenk des Vermieters. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit vielen Kochutensilien vom Feinsten. Da hatte man richtig Lust zu Hause zu kochen. Ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, dass wir mehrfach nutzten, auch wenn es nicht kalt - die Stimmung halt. Dann hatte es 3 schöne Schlafzimmer, ein grosses Bad, ein WC im EG und eine praktische Toilette im 1. OG. Sehr praktisch ist auch die Duschwanne in der Garage, in welchem wir Higgins (unseren Jack Russel) und unsere Füsse nach den Strandspaziergängen gut abduschen konnten. Der Weg zum Strand ist sehr kurz und dennoch ist die Lage des Hauses sehr ruhig. Ich könnte noch sooooo viel mehr schreiben und davon schwärmen. Aber ich denke es reicht, wenn ich schreibe, wir haben schon wieder für nächstes Jahr gebucht. Dieses Mal 3 Wochen. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon!

Tolles Haus, strandnah
Das Haus zeichnet sich aus durch drei schöne Schlafzimmer, eine große und gut ausgestattete Küche, ein gemütliches Wohn(/Ess-)zimmer mit Kamin und einen sehr kurzen Weg zum Strand. Ein besonderes Highlight war für uns auch die Duschwanne in der Garage, durch die man auch einen direkten Zugang ins Haus hatte. Hier konnten wir unserem Hund nach den Strandspaziergängen die Pfoten abduschen und ersparten uns so einen versandeten Boden im Haus. Der Kontakt vor Ort war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Hier werden wir jederzeit sehr gerne wieder Urlaub machen.

Ferienhaus Laurence
Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal in diesem Haus, dass recht nahe am Strand liegt und ein schönes und auch gepflegtes Grundstück hat. Auch im Haus ist alles sauber und gepflegt.
Die Betreuung durch eine in der Nähe wohnende Dame ist ganz toll, muss sich aber in der Landessprache abspielen. Wir haben den Larousse dabei und dann gibt es viel Spass.
Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet alles, was man braucht, sogar eine Waage !
Die Einrichtung ist gut. Es gibt einen großen Esstisch im Wohnraum und einen kleinen in der relativ großen Küche.
Wir werden im nächsten Jahr wiederkommen !
