Location and surroundings of object
The recently built holiday house Mauro lies in the country in quiet position, surrounded by lawns, olive groves and cypresses, at 3 km of distance from Roccastrada. Natural property. Lovely view on the surrounding chain of hills. Two neighbours live at ca. 100 m of distance, they use the tarred road which passes in front of the house.
In the village you can find all kind of shops, bank, postal office, pizzeria and restaurants with open terrace. The nearest sand beaches are in Follonica and Castiglione della Pescaia ca. 40-45 km away. The Accesa lake is at 30 km of distance, the Farma river at 16 km. Roccastrada is a small town on a panoramic tophill . Many interesting places (including Siena) are within easy reach . Ideal point for walking. There are several bars, pizzerias, restaurants, every sort of shops. It hosts a variety of Summer events.

Casa Mauro Beautiful cottage in a secluded location
Nice small, cosy cottage in a secluded location. Very beautiful view of the Maremma plain. The house is clean and attractively furnished. Everything you need is on site. The pool is perfectly adequate and is cleaned daily by Mauro, the landlord
Mauro and his wife are very lovely people, and always provided us with fresh vegetables from their own garden.
It was a dream for our two dogs, as the large property is completely surrounded by a sturdy, 1.80 high fence. There is also a pine forest on the property, which provides enough shade for the four-legged friends in the midday heat.
The access to the cottage is via a dirt road, let's say in need of renovation, which is unsuitable for sports cars, but perfectly passable with a normal car.
It is advisable to bring enough mosquito repellent. The windows of the house have fly screens, which are also "tight", but the little pests always find a way into the house somehow.
The neighbours, too, be it the locals or the other holiday home residents (all at a sufficient distance), are a funny bunch. They are always ready for a quick chat at the fence or a glass of red wine as they pass by. Caution: The homemade wine has a lot to offer
3 glasses and you sleep peacefully - despite the mosquitoes ????.
Conclusion: We will be back.

Ein toller Urlaub
It was a wonderful holiday. Mr. Mauro is a great host. He cleaned the pool daily and spoiled us with fruit and vegetables. The area is a dream with lots of olive trees around the house. The house has everything one could wish for. It is truly recommendable. The only downside was the approximately 2km gravel road, uphill and downhill.

Nice quiet scenic holiday home with adventurous access
Well-equipped house, absolutely sufficient for 4 people, beautiful view of the countryside, 3 km access road rocky, sandy, mountainous, adventurous, very unfamiliar at a walking pace and 13 minutes driving time, certainly no problem for rough off-road SUVs, nevertheless high recreational value with a beautiful pool, very nice landlord (only speaks Italian - no problem for us as we speak Italian), landlord discreetly cleans the pool every day, offers fruit and vegetables from own cultivation free of charge - very tasty! After the 3 km access ride, well-developed road network to the beach and the city of Grosseto with a magnificent shopping center!

GREAT HOLIDAY
Very nice holiday cottage, with everything you need! The owner Mauro comes every day to clean the pool and is very pleasant! There are also small gifts, such as fruits, vegetables, wine, and olive oil!
We enjoyed our vacation very much and will definitely come back!

Mauro House Roccastrada
Beautiful and well-maintained house in an idyllic and quiet location. Everything is available to spend eventful holidays in the countryside. Car is absolutely necessary. The negative point is the inadequate lighting in the kitchen.
