"Very comfortable house with a beautiful panoramic view and cozy XXL apartments in Grossarltal, in the Hohe Tauern National Park (924 m above sea level). An ideal place to take a break in a fog-free high location, to enjoy the peace and to enjoy a wonderful alpine summer with the whole family in the middle of dreamy nature. The recreation center Grossarl or the bathing lake in St. Johann offer a refreshing dip.

Activities in the area: The Grossarltal is also called the ""valley of the alm"" because of the large number of alpine meadows. The dairy farmers in the managed huts are happy to spoil you with a hearty snack. On the menus are mainly fresh Alpine butter and sour cheese, homemade bread and of course the right nightcap - the famous Stamperl schnapps. The valley is the starting point for alpine hikes at the foot of the Hohe Tauern: 250 km of well-marked hiking trails lead to the Hohe Tauern National Park

Staying at Apartments Joe was a breath of fresh air! The panoramic views were absolutely stunning, and the XXL apartment was spacious enough for our family of five, We enjoyed the sauna after a long day of hiking in Hohe Tauern National Park, Highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway!

The apartment was comfortable and had all the basic amenities we needed, It was a bit dated but still cozy, and we appreciated the cleanliness, While it wasn't luxurious, it offered a practical base for our adventures in the area, The nearby bathing lake in St, Johann was a nice spot to relax after a day of hiking, Overall, a solid choice for families, though I would suggest checking accessibility if you have mobility concerns
