Activities in the area: Hikers and mountain bikers are in their element here: Torfhaus is an ideal entry and starting point for tours of all kinds. Numerous well-signposted hiking trails of different lengths lead through the Harz National Park. Mountain bikers can start tours of the "Volksbank Arena Harz" routes here, and those who have not brought their own bike can easily rent a mountain bike or e-bike here. The small town is also a fantastic starting point for motorcyclists for the most beautiful trips.
In winter, Torfhaus is an interesting destination for skiers, cross-country skiers and sleigh riders: some beautiful cross-country ski trails, a drag lift for skiers and a toboggan lift exclusively for sleigh riders promise varied snow fun.

The holiday houses in Torfhaus Harzresort were the perfect place for a relaxing retreat. The sauna was a real plus after a long day full of outdoor activities. The area is breathtaking and so peaceful.
