The 2.5 room garden apartment of the detached holiday home is situated picturesquely high above Lake Maggiore and offers a wonderful view of Lake Maggiore, the Brissago Islands, Ascona and Locarno. Harmoniously matched colours and the tasteful, modern interior give the apartment a very special charm. The apartment offers space for 4 persons and consists of a living and dining room with a modern fitted kitchen and dining table. In this area there is a comfortable double bed, which you can use as a sofa if required. Due to the two roofed outside seats, one with large dining table, fireplace and radiant heater for cooler days and one with bench and table, the apartment invites you to "live outside". A further double bedroom with direct exit to the garden is available as well as a bathroom with tub and toilet. From the parking lot directly in front of the house you reach the apartment over few stairs.

The Gambarogno region is a paradise for hiking. With wonderful tours, leisure sportsmen and active holidaymakers have a large and very varied range to choose from. A total of 22 hikes and 5 theme trails lead through the Gambarogno region and invite you to explore.
The Riviera del Gambarogno is situated on the shores of Lake Maggiore just opposite Locarno and Ascona. In winter the region remains rather shady, but in summer it transforms into a small and fascinating holiday paradise thanks to the deep green lake, the beautiful villages and the mountains in the background. Palm trees, vineyards, chestnut woods and pretty villages on the shore and on the hills; the Riviera del Gambarogno embodies all this.

Location and surroundings of object

The large garden and the pool are for your exclusive use. Deckchairs, sunshades and an outdoor hot water shower are available. The Chill-Out-Lounge at the pool promises a cosy atmosphere with a glass of Prosecco. Especially the sunset and the sparkling sea of lights on the opposite shore are unique impressions.
The upper apartment of the house is not rented.

From Gerra you can reach the house in approx. 5 minutes by car. In Gerra you will find shopping facilities, a public beach and various restaurants as well as connections to public transport (bus, train and boat).
Gerra Gambarogno is an idyllic lakeside village on the Riviera del Gambarogno, located on the left bank of Lake Maggiore near the Italian border. The region has a varied cultural offer and a wonderful network of hiking trails. Along the mountains and small valleys of Gambarogno, two hundred kilometres of hiking trails wind through chestnut forests and lush pastures past dreamy alpine farmsteads. The magnificent Parco Botanico by Otto Eisenhut, situated on the hill terrace between Piazzogna and Vairano, with an infinite number of colourfully blooming camellias, magnolias and azaleas on 17,000 square metres, is worth a visit.
From the seaside resorts of San Nazzaro, Vira or Magadino, boats take you to Locarno, Ascona, the Brissago Islands and other destinations. The Ticino cities of Lugano, Locarno and Bellinzona are just as easy to reach by car or train as the Italian town of Luino, where the popular traditional market takes place on Wednesdays.

We were allowed to spend 1 week with a wonderful view, cooling off in our own pool, cozy evenings in the stylish outdoor area. We will come back.... :)

Very nice little house, beautifully situated with a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore. The house is stylishly and high-quality furnished, the garden invites you to linger. The various seating and lying options offer something for everyone. The highlight was the lounge by the pool where you could observe lizards and squirrels. The drive to the house was a bit nerve-wracking for my taste. With a small car, you have an advantage during the narrow and winding approach. The only downside to our stay was the construction site next door.

I had a really stunningly beautiful week in this vacation house in Gambarogno. The outdoor pool and the view were indescribable. The location is a bit difficult if you arrive by public transportation, but perfect for families with a car. I would still come back, even if the bus ride is a bit cumbersome, the vacation house with its own pool and the view is worth it to me and it was totally worth it. The equipment was also tip top, in the kitchen there was everything to prepare the meals, I practically didn't miss anything in the apartment. Super Wi-Fi connection, so I didn't even have to interrupt my further education and could participate in Zoom trainings.
