This well-kept terraced middle house in south-west location is situated in the upper part of a private terraced house complex built in the slope approx. 2 km from the idyllic fishing village Ferragudo near the lighthouse "Aldeia do Farol". The immediate proximity of one of the most famous beaches of the Algarve, "Praia dos Caneiros" and two other popular beaches "Praia do Pintadinho" and "Praia de Mole", which are also within walking distance, offers our guests a unique location. Parking is available directly in front of the house and in the front garden in front of the (private) garage. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The approx. 85 m² large house has 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor, each with a double bed and a balcony. The roof terrace is sheltered from the wind and offers a wonderful all-round view of the sea and the hinterland. There is a brick barbecue area. The house has a beautifully ingrown south-west terrace with awning and direct access to living room and spacious kitchen. The house is well heatable and also in the off-season very attractive

Location and surroundings of object

The property is located in a quiet area near the most beautiful beach "Praia dos Caneiros". From the terraces you have a beautiful view over the sea and the hinterland. We recommend our guests to rent a car, because the Algarve is very worth seeing. Of course we are gladly helpful with the switching. The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and inexpensive places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow alleys and winding staircases conveys a genuine, unadulterated impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, the women often wash their clothes, and at noon sardines are grilled. In the "Aunt Emma shops" (Mini-Mercados) the shopping is done. The people are always friendly and helpful

In the market hall you can buy fresh fish, seafood and fruit every day. For bulk shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to the village. Particularly worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. One has a wide view over the harbour entrance of Portimão and to the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will not find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but luxurious villas, houses, cosy apartments and excellent holiday resorts

The market place is the meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs and bars with beer gardens, young people are also well looked after here. Here you will also find the post office, a bank and a large selection of restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine, but also pizzerias and chicken roasters. Every weekend in summer there is a Portuguese festival that reminds of a big family celebration, also the monthly flea market is worthwhile.

The guests of the "FERIENHAUS PESSEGO" are looked after by the "Service-Büro-BEROLI" on site.

The beaches of Ferragudo:

In the estuary of the Rio Arade there is the extensive, fine sandy beach PRAIA GRANDE, which is separated from the open sea by the pier. Further on you reach PRAIA DO MOLHE and PRAIA DA PINTADINHO. The most beautiful beach is the PRAIA DOS CANEIROS. There you will find the rocky coves that are so typical of this coast. All beaches have various beach bars. Not to forget the impressive cliff walks along the coast, which should be done early in the morning if possible.
