The old town apartment Belavista, built in Portuguese style, is located in the center of the village of Ferragudo on the beautiful Algarve. The house’s total of 4 balconies and terraces invite you to enjoy the magnificent view over the rooftops of the small town and the mouth of the Arade river. The charming one-bedroom apartment on the upper part of the house features a large, renovated open kitchen with adjoining dining area, a guest WC, a bright bedroom with double bed, 2 separate shower bathrooms renovated in 2024, a cozy living room with sofa bed for 2 people, as well as a sun terrace on the roof.
The apartment is within walking distance of Ferragudo's market square with its cozy restaurants, bars, and small supermarkets. It takes only 10 minutes on foot to reach the first beach, Praia Grande. Parking is available near the house. The house is a non-smoking property.
A special tip for families with adolescent or adult children: Together with the apartment Estrela do Sol located below, the property with its 2 separate entrances can be rented at a reduced price for 6 adults and 1-2 small children. Layout (T 1.5)

Location and surroundings of object
The property is located in the upper area of Ferragudos and has a good equipment. The outlook is outstanding. We recommend our customers to rent a car, because the Algarve is very worth seeing. Of course we are gladly helpful with the switching. The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and inexpensive places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow alleys and winding staircases conveys a genuine, unadulterated impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, the women often wash their clothes, and at noon sardines are grilled. In the "Aunt Emma shops" (Mini-Mercados) the shopping is done. The people are always friendly and helpful
In the market hall you can buy fresh fish, seafood and fruit every day. For bulk shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to the village. Particularly worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. One has a wide view over the harbour entrance of Portimão and to the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will not find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but luxurious villas, houses, cosy apartments and excellent holiday resorts
The market place is the meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs and bars with beer gardens, young people are also well looked after here. Here you will also find the post office, a bank and a large selection of restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine, but also pizzerias and chicken roasters. Every weekend in summer there is a Portuguese festival that reminds of a big family celebration, also the monthly flea market is worthwhile

The beaches of Ferragudo
In the estuary of the Rio Arade there is the extensive, fine sandy beach PRAIA GRANDE, which is separated from the open sea by the pier. Further on you reach PRAIA DO MOLHE and PRAIA DA PINTADINHO. The most beautiful beach is the PRAIA DOS CANEIROS. There you will find the rocky coves that are so typical of this coast. All beaches have various beach bars. Not to forget the impressive cliff walks along the coast, which should be done early in the morning if possible.
