This cosy villa is located opposite the beach "Praia Grande" in a cul-de-sac with great views over the countryside and the Atlantic Ocean. The villa was completely renovated in 2014, using a lot of natural stone. This fascinating property is located in an idyllic location, approx. 50 meters from the beach. Particularly worth mentioning is the spacious outdoor terrace with a large pool, shaded area and barbecue area. The 3 bedrooms have double beds ( m x m with individual toppers). The pool measures approximately 10m x 6m with a depth range of to The centre of Ferragudo with its cosy market square is about 10 - 15 minutes walk away. The next fantastic bays "Praia do Pintadinho" and "Praia dos Caneiros" can be reached by car in a few minutes (approx. - 2 km). The garage in the basement is used privately by the owner. Parking is available right next to the house.
The villa is only rented from June to September.

Location and surroundings of object
The property is located in a quiet area near the most beautiful beach "Praia dos Caneiros". The villa is divided very generously. We recommend our guests to rent a car, because the Algarve is very worth seeing. The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and inexpensive places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow alleys and winding staircases conveys a genuine, unadulterated impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, the women often wash their clothes, and at noon sardines are grilled. In the "Aunt Emma shops" (Mini-Mercados) the shopping is done. The people are always friendly and helpful
In the market hall you can buy fresh fish, seafood and fruit every day. For bulk shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to the village. Particularly worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. One has a wide view over the harbour entrance of Portimão and to the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will not find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but luxurious villas, houses, cosy apartments and excellent holiday resorts
The market place is the meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs and bars with beer gardens, young people are also well looked after here. Here you will also find the post office, a bank and a large selection of restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine, but also pizzerias and chicken roasters. Every weekend in summer there is a Portuguese festival that reminds of a big family celebration, also the monthly flea market is worthwhile

The beaches of Ferragudo
In the estuary of the Rio Arade there is the extensive, fine sandy beach PRAIA GRANDE, which is separated from the open sea by the pier. Further on you reach PRAIA DO MOLHE and PRAIA DA PINTADINHO. The most beautiful beach is the PRAIA DOS CANEIROS. There you will find the rocky coves that are so typical of this coast. All beaches have various beach bars. Not to forget the impressive cliff walks along the coast, which should be done early in the morning if possible.
