The small apartment "Scuola Vecchia" (45 sqm) can be reached by a comfortable staircase over the larger one of two terraces. One enters directly into the large living room with a small kitchenette (fridge, gas cooker with 4 hotplates, extractor hood, handmade sink), wood stove and dining table. The bathroom with window, bidet and shower is accessed through the dressing room, as well as a small bedroom with double bed and access to the small breakfast terrace with morning sun
The houses have separate entrances, private terraces and accesses. Two outbuildings with washing machine, dryer and ironing board are available for free use. The Scuola Vecchia has a wood-burning stove so that it can be comfortably heated even in the low season
The stone houses have been restored to their original architectural qualities and new functional elements have been created with attention to detail. Natural materials were preferred for the furnishings and the harmonious colouring creates a cheerful atmosphere.

The three houses of borgolecaselle are situated at about 700 m above sea level below Monte Cocuzzo (1389 m) and offer a truly fabulous view over the surrounding valleys, mountains and bays of Golfo di Policastro. In the immediate vicinity you will hardly encounter tourism: small farmers and shepherd families still live in the immediate vicinity. Depending on the season you can buy handmade ricotta, lamb, eggs and vegetables - "authentic" Italy. The centre of Tortorella is about 7 km away: a typical Italian mountain village with narrow streets, magnificent portals and fantastic views. For your daily errands you will find a butcher, 3 small grocery stores, a bar, a post office and a pizzeria. Borgo Le Caselle is surrounded by over hectares of terraced land where you can enjoy the sun or shade at any time of the day. Our vegetable garden provides you with seasonal organic delicacies.
Narrow paths lead into the surrounding holm oak forest. Two local mountains (1384 m and 1450 m) with magnificent panoramic peaks invite experienced hikers to extensive tours. Along the brook courses refreshing discovery tours can be undertaken also in the high summer.

It is 18 km to the sea, the most beautiful bays with crystal clear water can be reached with about 45 minutes drive to the cliffs of Masseta and Costa di Maratea. Some beaches can only be reached by boat, others by beautiful coastal paths
Your hosts speak German, live on the spot and can bring you closer to the country and its people due to their many years of experience as hiking guides and farmers.
